Vaima Beachfront Apartments are four exclusive absolute beachfront self-catering apartments located in the beautiful village of Vaimaanga. They provide access to one of the best beaches in Rarotonga, on the southern tip of the island, where you can swim, snorkel, paddle and, uniquely, enjoy both peaceful sunrises and gorgeous sunsets. The lagoon is filled with a rich variety of sea life, including, fish of all kinds, clams, coral and, if you are lucky, sea turtles, and in the winter season (June - October) you can often see whales passing by. The apartments offer enviable and unimpeded views of the golden sandy beach and aqua blue lagoon from both the living rooms and the master bedrooms. They are conveniently located a couple minutes' walk from a well-stocked 24/7 convenience store and neighbourhood cafes and restaurants.
Each air-conditioned apartment is tastefully decorated with modern coastal accents and includes a master bedroom opening directly on to your own private patio with unobstructed beach and lagoon views, premium king bed, in-room safe, ceiling fans, television with Chromecast TV for streaming, your own private barbecue, a well-equipped kitchen with everything you could need to self cater, including stove top, full size refrigerator/freezer, microwave, dishwasher and air fryer; as well as a second bedroom (with your choice of King or Twin beds), a large family bathroom and a living area with bi-fold doors opening up fully to the stunning lagoon view.
Guest facilities are conveniently located on-site, including free on-site parking, unlimited WiFi, guest laundry, sun lounges, snorkelling equipment & kayaks.
To balance your privacy and solitude with relaxation and convenience, in-stay servicing is provided approximately every 3 days.

Propietario/a: Ricky Short
Ricky Short grew up in the Cook Islands and, although he lives overseas now, his heart remains there. Kym met Ricky when she was working in the Cook Islands and many years and 3 children later they were delighted to build their little piece of paradise on a special piece of family land.
Vaima Beachfront Apartments were built primarily for our children, so they would always be encouraged to return to their proud Polynesian roots and culture; so care has been taken to ensure they have been built to a high standard and provide every comfort as a home away from home.

The stunning apartments are situated in peaceful Vaimaanga village on Ricky's family land (in the Cook Islands land only passes through families), which means his parents, aunts and cousins are nearby neighbours. Indeed, the apartments have been a family affair from the start, with Ricky's uncle John Short, owner of the leading construction company in Rarotonga, building them, his parents, Tui and Cecilia, helping project manage the build and his cousin, Nadine, coordinating the beautiful coastal-themed internal design. And now Nooroa Short, John's wife, is the Property Manager, who you can contact for help during your stay.

Vaima Beachfront Apartments are, uniquely for the area, located off the main road, away from street noise, but within walking distance of Wigmore's Superstore (open 24/7) and popular neighbourhood cafes and restaurants.
The property is right on peaceful Vaimaanga Beach, steps away from the aqua blue Rarotongan lagoon, with fantastic snorkelling (plenty of fish and the odd turtle), kayaking and swimming. In season (June to October) you can often see from your patio whales frolicking outside the reef.
Local buses run regularly both clock-wise and counter clock-wise around the island and can be hailed down on the main road right outside the property.
Go Cook Islands rent cars and scooters and are located a couple of minutes away (next to Wigmore's Superstore).
Wigmore's Falls, a popular local swimming hole and tourist attraction, is a gentle hike away.
Muri Beach, a popular tourist destination with cafes, restaurants and activities is 8 km away (10-15 minutes' drive).
