Encantador, histórico Carriage House Old Florida en Tampa Bay

The Carriage House está ubicado en Old Town Safety Harbor. En 3 minutos caminas hasta el muelle de Tamps Bay, el Safety Harbor Resort and Spa, la oficina de correos y Starbucks. Hay siete restaurantes a 10 minutos a pie, incluido el "Casi famoso" Whistle Stop Grill, donde encontrará asientos al aire libre, un ambiente relajado y música en vivo al menos 3 noches por semana.
La arquitectura única de Carriage House y el patio trasero cercado te harán sentir que retrocediste en el tiempo ... a un ritmo más lento. Construido en 1925, la Carriage House era originalmente solo eso: una "casa de transporte" no muy lejos de Green Springs Resort. Es la estructura de madera más antigua en Safety Harbor.
Salga al patio de ladrillos para desayunar y tome una copa en la terraza de madera por la noche. El dormitorio es un loft grande en el segundo piso con una gran ventana para ver la bahía a unos 100 metros de distancia.

Comentario del huésped: Nos lo pasamos muy bien en The Carriage House.
Nos sentimos tan lejos de todo ... pero a la vez muy cerca de todo. El patio trasero era nuestro santuario. Y en cuestión de minutos podríamos estar en Main St. en el centro. La cena de Whistle Stop fue de lo más destacado ... muchas gracias.
Disfrutamos de las bicicletas y Kyacks que proporcionó y todas sus excelentes sugerencias de qué hacer y ver en el área.
Esperamos volver pronto.

Quiet historic carriage house in a great location

We spent Christmas 2018 here and enjoyed our stay very much. The owners were friendly but gave us our privacy, & the location is in a great area. The house was nicely decorated and very comfortable. The landscaping is also nice. Safety Harbor is a nice destination too. We would definitely stay there again on our next trip.

Beautiful cottage in an ideal location

What a wonderful cottage situated in the lovely seaside village of Safety Harbor. The guest house is much larger than it looks in the pics and is perfect for 2 people. I highly recommend.

Lovely stay at the Carriage House

We thoroughly enjoyed our week at the Carriage House. It is a beautiful, spacious, very clean, light-filled and unique space, so near to the Bay and Safety Harbor, restaurants, coffee shops and parks. Dawn was amazing, immediately responsive to any questions we had, and the place itself was so welcoming. Everything we could have needed was there for us, plus the outdoor patios! We very much hope to return!

lovely getaway in Safety Harbor

the carriage house is much more spacious than the description might lead one to believe (but not as large as it looks from the outside). The private garden is lovely in the morning. Wonderful location -- Safety Harbor is a charming community with lots of activities. Easy access to walking and biking trails, and close enough to the beach. Dawn and Patrick are congenial hosts who always go the extra mile. Hoping to return one day!

A Most Enjoyable Stay

The Carriage House is not only nicely appointed but it also makes for a most comfortable stay. Patrick and Dawn were most welcoming and always available if ever there was a question or a need that arose. The bikes were a treat to ride on the Courtney Campbell Causeway and through Philippe Park with both destinations not too terribly far from the Carriage House. Next time back it will be great to use the tandem kayak to spend some most enjoyable time out on the bay. What a wonderful stay we had – thanks Patrick and Dawn!

Highly Recommended

My husband and I recently enjoyed a stay at a pretty carriage house in Safety Harbor, Florida. I recommend it. From the moment we arrived, we felt right at home. The house itself was perfect for us – eclectically decorated with a warm and cozy atmosphere that immediately put us at ease. The well-appointed kitchen was a plus. It could be better lit, but it had everything we needed (including razor sharp knives) to prepare meals.Beyond the house itself, the location was ideal. Safety Harbor is a delightful town, and this rental provided easy access to everything it has to offer.The owners deserve high praise as well. They struck the perfect balance of being available and responsive to any questions we had, while also respecting our privacy. Knowing they were nearby if needed was reassuring, but they were never intrusive.No question; our experience warrants 5 stars.

Unable to Stay in the Rental

The property is very cute, but it was not suitable for me to stay 5 days. There is no Central AC unit and the rental was terribly hot. The sleeping area is in a loft space about 20 feet up, with no cooling system of any kind to cool the loft area. All I could think was "hot air rises and this isn't a good scenario during a heatwave" There is a mini split in the lower level and a wall unit in the lower level, which both were incapable of getting the rental to a comfortable temperature for a 5 day stay during a heatwave. I left within 1 hour and stayed in a hotel after speaking with Dawn and she concurred the rental would not cool down to a temperature that would be suitable for me. An app on my phone showed the temp in the loft was 88 degrees, and the downstairs area temp was 83 degrees at 6 PM; the mini split was on when I arrived. There was no hope that the heat during the day would be controlled enough by the mini split to allow for a suitable temperature. 70 degrees would have been fine, but that would have happened at 3 AM and it would heat up again as soon as the sun rises. I lost a lot of money on this trip. It was nonrefundable since I had already arrived, but Dawn did send me a partial refund of $500. I learned a very costly lesson: when a listing mentions "AC" ask what that means. Don't assume it is Central AC, or adequate.

Better than advertised!

The Carriage House was a fantastic place to anchor ourselves during our Safety Harbor visit. Ideal location for walking anywhere in SH. Even better than the pictures, it was very well equipped and comfortable, and Dawn and Patrick were wonderful friendly hosts who were quick to respond to any of our queries. The garden was a tranquil spot to relax in the evening. We would definitely consider the Carriage House again for any Safety Harbor visits. Thanks Dawn and Patrick!

We enjoyed our stay at this historic carriage house! It was a quiet neighborhood within walking distance of downtown shops and restaurants and parks. Dawn and Patrick were very nice and gracious in making sure we had a nice stay. We would certainly go back again!

Perfect getaway

I feel so lucky to have come across the Carriage House when we were looking for a winter getaway. It’s a perfect place in a perfect location. You can walk to the harbor, parks, shops and restaurants then go back and enjoy the beautiful carriage house. The hosts are always available and helpful. Now forget you saw this so it doesn’t get too discovered!

Charming Cottage in a Primo Location

We hit the jackpot in finding this lovely cottage for the week of Thanksgiving. We were visiting family who had gathered in Safety Harbor for the holiday. We had numerous relatives at the Safety Harbor Resort, and we loved that we were just a stone’s throw away. The cottage itself is huge and has a very well stocked kitchen. We were delighted to see the extra living room, and a lovely loft which separated our sleeping area from the rest of the house. Because there aren’t really doors, this place is a great hideaway for a couple/ single, or a small family, but a lack of privacy would likely be tough for multiple families, despite the ample space. Also, the kitchen didn’t have a dishwasher, so if you are doing a LOT of cooking, keep that in mind. A bonus was the washer/ dryer located in the shed outside the cottage. The grounds itself were also lovely, and we were able to enjoy time outside for coffee and evening libations when our family visited our cottage. The place also has ample parking and is literally around the corner from the Sandwich Shop on Main. We were also cycling, so there was ample storage for our bikes, and we were right there to access numerous trails and routes. We LOVED this place, enjoyed our hosts who were very accommodating, and will be looking to book next year.

Loved the carriage house! The location just couldn't be better: steps away from the bay and town. Patrick & Dawn were extremely helpful and always available if needed. I'd love to return!

Excellent property and location

Located one block from the Main St foodie district. Great walking trails, boardwalks and a state park. The bedroom is on the second floor so be aware if steps are a problem. Beautiful courtyard. The owner is exceptional. We were here for 11 days and it felt very comfortable. We would stay here again.

Amazing Stay

The pictures don’t truly depict the beauty and comfort of the Carriage House. The location was a very short walk to a variety of great restaurants. The owners, Dawn and Patrick, were not intrusive but very friendly and attentive. Will be staying again.

A true gem

My husband and I had an unforgettable 8 night stay at the carriage house. It is SO charming, clean and extremely liveable. Patrick and Dawn are excellent host and their yard/garden add to the magic.The location is the cherry on top, close to everything in Safety Harbor restaurants, shops and an amazing boardwalk/path along the bay to historic Phillipe park. I almost didn’t want to leave this stellar review so I could keep it all to myself lol, but places like this are what make Vrbo so special and superior to hotels or resorts.

Safety Harbor

This is a very nice getaway rental. Safety harbor is a lovely, peaceful community. The rental is within walking distance to the quaint downtown area. I highly recommend this property.
