Acerca de este alojamiento
3-bedroom house with sunny deck & gardens close to beach, city centre & hospital
Only 5 mins walk to Nelson Hospital, this sunny, fully fenced home is just a few mins drive to the Nelson airport, Tahuna Beach and Nelson’s vibrant city centre. Perfect for families, groups, or business travellers, it offers a warm living area opening to a sun-filled deck for barbecues or relaxing. Secure fencing makes it safe for kids and pets. Some traffic noise at peak times due to the corner location, but the spacious layout and inviting feel make it easy to unwind—an ideal base for holidays or work trips.

The area
Nelson offers a range of thrilling mountain biking trails for all levels. The Nelson Mountain Bike Park (The Codgers) provides a mix of downhill and flowy trails. The challenging Rameka Track delivers epic downhill views. For scenic, easy rides, the Great Taste Trail and Queen Elizabeth Park are perfect. Advanced riders will love the Wairoa Gorge and Rocks and Ruts tracks. Tāhunanui Beach, Nelson
Nestled on the stunning Tasman Bay, Tāhunanui Beach offers a relaxed, family-friendly destination perfect for swimming, picnicking, and beach sports. The long, sandy stretch is ideal for children to play, and its shallow, calm waters make it a safe option for families. The beach is well-served with nearby amenities, including cafes, public restrooms, and playgrounds, ensuring convenience for visitors.
Safety Aspects for Families
Tāhunanui Beach is known for its safe swimming conditions, with lifeguards on patrol during peak summer months. The gradual slope of the beach and calm waters make it an excellent choice for young children and less experienced swimmers. The area also has clear signage regarding water safety and beach conditions. Nearby, families can enjoy well-maintained parks, bike paths, and walking tracks, making it an all-around safe and enjoyable destination for all ages. What I love most about the Nelson region is how effortlessly it blends natural beauty, adventure, and tranquility. It's home to three stunning national parks, each offering a unique experience. Abel Tasman National Park is a personal favourite for its golden beaches, turquoise waters, and relaxed coastal walks—or a kayak if you're feeling adventurous. Then there’s Kahurangi National Park, a vast and remote wilderness perfect for hiking and immersing yourself in nature, especially along the iconic Heaphy Track. For something different again, Nelson Lakes National Park offers an alpine escape with peaceful forests, dramatic mountains, and crystal-clear glacial lakes. Whether you’re after a leisurely lakeside stroll or a multi-day tramp, there's something here for everyone. That variety is what keeps me inspired by this place every day. Golden Bay is another place we love to visit, with stunning scenery and beaches.

Hi, I’m Rebecca! I’m love the outdoors—whether it’s caravanning, hiking, fishing, or just soaking up the sun at the beach. I’ve got two kids, aged 11 and 7, so family-friendly adventures are always on the cards. I’m also a big fan of badminton and enjoy exploring new places. Por qué escogió este alojamiento
What I love most about the Nelson region is how effortlessly it blends natural beauty, adventure, and tranquillity. With three national parks right on the doorstep, each offers its own unique experience. Abel Tasman National Park is a personal favourite—especially Kaiteriteri—with its golden beaches, turquoise waters, and relaxed coastal walks (or a kayak if you’re feeling adventurous). Kahurangi National Park is a vast, remote wilderness, ideal for hiking and immersing yourself in nature, particularly along the iconic Heaphy Track. Nelson Lakes National Park provides something different again, with alpine forests, dramatic mountains, and crystal-clear glacial lakes—perfect for anything from a gentle lakeside stroll to a multi-day tramp.
Golden Bay is another favourite spot, home to Pohara, Takaka, Collingwood, Farewell Spit and more. With its stunning beaches, diverse landscapes, and relaxed atmosphere, it always feels like a special escape.
It’s this variety—coastal, alpine, wilderness, and everything in between—that makes the Nelson region so inspiring every day.
