This bright and spacious 1,300 sq. ft. upper-level main suite features high ceilings, skylights, a cozy living area, two full bathrooms, and a fully equipped kitchen. With a king bed, double/single bunk, and a fun bonus game room, there are flexible sleeping options for families, couples and small groups. The upper suite is accessible by stairs.

Enjoy free parking, Wi-Fi, and Netflix, with a convenient location just minutes drive from Vancouver Island University (VIU), the aquatic centre, ice rink, bowling alley, and downtown Nanaimo.

Adult occupancy: The suite can accommodate up to 4 adults (19+) plus children. We are unable to approve bookings exceeding 4 adults, in accordance with City of Nanaimo bylaws. Children under 19 are welcome and are not included in the adult count.

Pets: Sorry, no pets due to allergies.

Location & Westwood Lake
The suite is located in a suburban residential neighbourhood near Westwood Lake and its surrounding trails. This is a near-lake property, not a lakefront property. The suite is not located directly on Westwood Lake and does not have lake views.
Westwood Lake is approximately a 15-minute walk from the suite, depending on the access point and route, or about a 6-minute drive.

The property has a private feel while still being part of a residential neighbourhood. It is owner-occupied in accordance with current City of Nanaimo bylaws, which is common for many vacation rentals.

The Space

Summer Comfort
Window A/C units are provided in the living room and master bedroom during the summer months, helping keep the main living spaces and master bedroom comfortable on warmer days and nights.

Access & Outdoor Space
The suite is an upper-level main unit and is accessed by stairs. Once inside, there is level access to the backyard from the kitchen, making it easy to step outside and enjoy the outdoor space.

Living Room
Relax in the bright, welcoming living room with a large comfortable sofa and lounge chair—perfect for family movie nights or unwinding after a day of exploring.

Kitchen
The fully equipped kitchen includes a full-size fridge, stove, oven, microwave, coffee maker, Instant Pot, double air fryer, cookware, dishes, and utensils. A highchair is available upon request.

Sleeping Arrangements
Please review the sleeping arrangements carefully to make sure they are a good fit for your group. The suite is best suited for families and small groups and includes a king bed in the primary bedroom, a double/single bunk in the bunk room, and two foldable sleeper chairs in the game room.

Master Bedroom
Enjoy a king bed with a dual-sided mattress (firm/medium), a private ensuite bathroom, and a Smart TV.

Bunk Room
The bunk bed features a double bed on the bottom and a single bed on top. The lower double bed is designed to sleep two adults; however, comfort is subjective and may vary from person to person. The upper single bed sleeps one child or teen.

These sleeping arrangements were designed with two families travelling together in mind, while making the most of the space available. While it may not be the ideal arrangement for every group, it can provide a more affordable alternative to booking separate hotel rooms and allows everyone to stay together under one roof.

Extra blankets, sheets, and pillows are available upon request. Please let us know in advance if you would like any additional bedding prepared for your stay.

Game Room
A bright and playful space with a Smart TV, toys, puzzles, and a kid-sized craft table. The room also includes two foldable floor sleeper chairs with bedding for flexible sleeping options for kids.

Bathrooms
Two full bathrooms are stocked with towels, a hairdryer, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash.

Laundry
In-suite washer and dryer—perfect for longer stays.

Outdoor Space
Enjoy the private backyard with a dining area and charming bench swing, backing onto the peaceful Westwood Ravine. Please note that the yard is not fenced. We also ask guests to be wildlife aware.
