My husband Teokotai and I built Araiki Oasis during COVID lockdown and it’s been our oasis amidst life’s trials - with its absolute beachfront, nestled in the hills of the village of Matavera. We’re both born and raised in Rarotonga with extensive local knowledge and thoroughly enjoy hosting guests. We take pride in delivering the best experience for our guests and look forward to sharing our island haven with you.

Host Tepaeru is local to Matavera with family and community connections for guests best holiday advice. Matavera is conveniently located half way between the capital Avarua township (7mins drive North from the property) and the tourism hub of Muri Beach (5 mins drive south from the property). The local general store KAPS, 1 minute drive towards Muri beach has everything from fresh bread daily, to wines n beers, petrol, meat, milk and everything you need to make a home cooked meal. In the KAPs complex is renown Vilis Burger Joint with the best burgers on the island as well as fried chicken and pizza. We also have the best coffee shops with Love Cafe a minute drive north towards Avarua and Cook Islands Coffee opposite KAPs which serve the best croissants south of the equator at VMV Bakery.
Araiki Oasis feature the most amazing kaleidoscope of sunrises most mornings and the year round trade winds keep the property cool. Absolute beachfront afford beach strolls and while the lagoon in front of the property is not good for swimming - Muri Beach with snorkelling and various water activities are only 5 minutes away.
Araiki Oasis is located in the heart of Matavera village - with a choice of churches for Sunday morning interaction with locals and the property is only a minute drive from the hills of Matavera for the keen hiker or nature walk.
