I didn’t receive the initial check in email with door code but once I reached out (around 9pm) they were very helpful and sent me the information. The little house was perfect. Great location to visit friends in Keene and enjoyed the public beach on the lake. I felt very safe as a female traveling alone and the area was very quiet. Will definitely stay again if I’m back in the area!

Relaxing Lake Side Retreat

Really enjoyed my getaway here! The place was clean and had everything I needed. Fishing near the docks and beach was a cool experience as well! Easy commute to visit friends in Keene. Reasonable pricing. I’ll be back!

Nice small cottage that was very clean with a nice lake view from the porch.The shared dock and lake access is a nice short walk but the water access is limited. OK for kayaks, not boats.However, two negatives: the bathroom sink has two taps (hot and separate cold) that is awkward and the pull out couch in the living room is very limited (ok for small kids?).

So glad you enjoyed the clean cottage and that lake view from the porch! We appreciate you pointing out the sink taps - we'll take a look at options to make that easier to use. You're right about the pull-out sofa too; we already realized it should be larger and more comfortable, and we're looking at upgrades to have ready for next summer. As for water access, there isn't room for boats at the dock, but kayaks are available for use, and there are a couple of spots nearby where you can launch a boat if you stay with us again.

The apartment is lovely, all the amenities are there...great cutlery, granite countertops, smart TV. The bed in the bedroom was comfy. The sleeper couch...not so much. If you have kids over 12, don't expect them to be able to sleep well on that couch. When we arrived, we were supposed to be able to get in using a lock box. The property manager sent me an email about a month before my trip with the check-in information--they sent the wrong code for the lock box and the wrong number of the person I was supposed to reach out if I couldn't get in (luckily the phone number was for a former employee who was still able to help me). The lake access was not awesome but we went to the public beach, which is very nearby, and that was fine. Also, there are tons of birds there so anyone who is a birder would like the screened in porch. I saw wrens, catbirds, a chipping sparrow, a yellow throat, red-winged blackbird, hermit thrush, red-eyed vireo, cowbird and blue headed-vireo, just to name a few!

Thank you for your feedback! Really glad you enjoyed some of the amenities and the nearby lake! Very sorry you guys had to deal with the trouble getting in. We believe what happened was that the code was changed as well as the contact number right before your stay, and it wasn’t updated in the email. (It’s our first summer and still ironing out the kinks.) We did get that fixed in the meantime, and thank you for bringing that to our attention! We hope overall you enjoyed your stay and would love to have you all back someday!
