Your comfy second-story condo has an extra, parlor-like lounging area between living room and bedroom. And you’re on the top floor, so no heavy footsteps to be heard overhead. Kitchen trappings include full-sized fridge, 4-burner range with oven, small microwave, air fryer, coffee maker, toaster, blender, sandwich maker, and all the cookware and tableware you will need. Hallway entrance to bathroom with full tub/shower and large marble vanity. Hair dryer, iron/ironing board, vacuum and linens provided. Beach chairs, beach umbrellas and beach towels also available for your use. Down by the secluded beach area, there is an inviting new boardwalk and accompanying pavilion – complete with deck chairs – for getting into the Jekyll Island state of mind. Also, this oceanfront condo complex boasts the accommodations closest to legendary Driftwood Beach, which is a short walk (just a few hundred yards) up the shoreline. Adorned with ancient, petrified trees, Driftwood Beach is as picturesque as it gets and not to be missed. The complex itself has a big outdoor pool – open 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Memorial Day through Labor Day – with an adjoining kiddie pool, picnic area and fire pit. The property also features a basketball half-court, volleyball court, free fitness facility, playground, barbeque grills (with even more picnic tables), coin laundromat, ice and vending machines, bicycle racks, charging stations for electric vehicles (including golf carts), and wireless Internet service.The welcome center at the complex is home to the popular Driftwood Bistro restaurant (open evenings Tuesday through Saturday) plus a 24/7 Village Shoppe for anytime sundries, snacks, reheatable entrees, apparel, souvenirs and other items.
