Jekyll Island Family Vacay

The property was wonderful. Very spacious with everything I needed. The location was great for the beach, shopping,etc. We had fantastic weather and definitely will come back to Jekyll again

Tabby Cottage

Our stay was very good. It was clean and updated. It was in a nice location too. Our only concern was we needed another pot and a bigger dish drainer. I cook so that was a bit limiting. It was chilly and more blankets would have been appreciated.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The property was the perfect size and a great value. I would recommend it and would stay there again. The biggest downside is that it was pretty dirty. We had to wear shoes inside all the time. There was stuff on the walls in the bathroom and on the back of the door in the guest bedroom. I had read past reviews that also mentioned that. It was. Ot enough to keep us from staying there again. And the rating reflects the location and value.

A lot of the blinds that were broken. The house was open with keys on the table but they had the wrong number on it. The house had 3b on outside but keys and envelope had 3a. We called the emergency number and said it was a mistake but he didnt seem to know. Tvs were confusingand we were.unable to find any regular things we normally watched.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: After a stressful stay in Atlanta, we really enjoyed our stay on Jekyll Island. We could take a short half mile walk to the beach. Watching the sunrise on the ocean in the morning with a cup of coffee just can't be beat.

We only eat steak and would have really used an outside grill. Cooked once inside but exhaust fan wasn’t adequate to clear smoke. Probably need to spray for roaches- again... found droppings and big ones in kitchen.

It had all we needed, and we enjoyed our stay.Pros:-Location; loved the neighborhood. Walkable to beach.-Tile floor extremely clean! My feet had no dirt marks when walking barefoot in my pjs.-The kitchen was the best-stocked of 3 rentals we've used on Jekyll. -The updated tile in bathroom was pretty and durable-Tub was clean (we noted others' remarks about it being slippery and bought a plastic tub mat at Dollar Tree as we do at every Jekyll rental because they all have slippery tubs). -Beds comfortable enough but not as comfortable as other JI rentals.-Yard was pleasant though we didn't spend much time in it.-Light tunnel skylight was helpful not use lights in daytime, and reminded us to conserve energy.-Loquat tree in front yard was interesting.Cons:-Showerhead is like a sandblaster. I was in searing pain! Awful!-Sofa felt so dirty I didn't want to sit on it. It was stiff, pitched forward on the seat, just miserable. Also too small for today's sofa seat sizing.-Not enough seating. It was super stark in the living room. One smaller sofa and one chair. Both with dirty upholstery to the point where I cringed to sit there.-No dresser in twin bedroom. Shelves installed inside closet would do the trick.

Just a few suggestions: There was a stain on one of the covers on the twin bed. There was a broken coaster on the night stand in the Master bedroom.The closet door on the hallway closet is off track.The shower curtain had mold on it and needs to be replaced.There were no steak nor sharp knives at all in the house!The duplex was clean and had great updates and renovation, but the yard was a disaster.
