Taos Chalet in Taos Ski Valley is an incredible home waiting to welcome your family for a fun and relaxation close to everything this area has to offer. For those seeking winter lodging, this is so close to the base area. Expert/fit skiers and boarders will have no problem hiking and skiing to ski lifts from this location and back at the end of the day, while families will want to park in the public lots and grab the free shuttle to the lift 1 base. In Summer this is super close to many hiking trails, including Wheeler Peak, Williams Lake and so many other gems. Taos Ski Valley is about 20 minute drive to the Village of Arroyo Seco, 30 minutes to gas and great dining in El Prado, and about 35 minutes to the town of Taos.

Great stay for skiing

On the mountain in Taos Ski Valley. Great house near the slopes. Perfect set up for two families and a bunch of kids in the loft. Need four wheel drive to reach as roads are not paved around the mountain and the house is on a hill. Not quite ski in-ski out. A little walk to the slopes which can be tough after a long day of skiing, but plenty of parking at the base. Kitchen is one of the best stocked and could not have asked for more from the location.

Taos Ski Valley Chalet

This was a great property for a family. Lots of amenities and easy to get to ski lift and town. We would stay here again.

Beautiful place with amazing views

Wonderful property - great layout, spacious, beautifully furnished and the most amazing views. Private and cozy and great location with easy access to the ski slopes.

the chalet was amazing! proximity was so convenient and chalet itself was prestine! kitchen is well stocked and every detail was well thought out from the decor to extra supplies guests may need for a comfortable stay!

Great mountain home!

What a beautiful home, and the owners were very acommodating to our family. This was a great place to stay and very close to the ski resort. The house is immaculate and the view is perfect! You can ski in and out from the house, but we found it easier to drive to the base because of the location of the kids ski school. We will be returning soon.

Wonderful Stay at the Chalet!

We had a great time at the chalet in the ski valley over the Christmas holiday. The location made for a convenient trek to the ski lift as well as great hiking trails close by. The house was extremely clean, and we had all of the amenities and essentials needed for our 6 night stay. We definitely appreciated the nice welcome gift to kick start our vacation. Molly followed through after we arrived to assure that we didn't have any questions. We would definitely stay at the chalet again!

Great Family Retreat

We just returned from a summer stay and had an amazing time. Beautiful home in a great location. Duncan and Molly were gracious and accommodating. If you can get away with no internet access, do it. We needed internet and purchased an AT&T hot spot before we departed in hopes it would help. It worked great.

Great home for a group of people

A very comfortable home for a gathering of friends/family. We were there during a huge snow storm and could not get out of the very steep driveway by car until it was plowed, which was not until the evening. Luckily the home is close enough the the ski area that we could walk.

2 family ski trip

Excellent for 2 families. Plenty of bathrooms. Hot water wasn’t an issue even when everybody showering after ski. Clean. Very comfortable with well equipped kitchen. 30 min walk to lift 1 base. 4wd IS NEEDED to access the driveway with snow

Great ski home

Enjoyed this property very much. Some of us wished there was cable and/or internet, but owners let me know ahead of time there was no internet. However, from now on, our rentals will have to have internet and cable, so I don't think we would rent from these owners again. Owners were SUPER nice and easy to deal with.

Only good things to say

This well-designed home was a perfect fit for our family of seven. The layout could not have been better, everything was in fine working order and the kitchen was well stocked with condiments, cleaning supplies etc. The slopes are just a short walk away, and town is within walking distance as well. Our AT&T wireless signal was strong. We hope to come back soon.

Beautiful property with great views

The owners have a wonderful property and they have thought of so many things to make it a wonderful stay. The kitchen had everything we needed to prep meals. The cabin was very cozy feeling and beautifully appointed. We did not miss TV but did watch a family movie one night. Since we had kids that were new skiers, we did not try to hike over to Pioneer for more of a ski in/ ski out experience. We were very close to everything we needed. We loved our stay and would definitely plan to come back again!

Taos Ski Valley

Laid Back Chalet was a beautiful place. I was impressed with the quality of cookware, flatware, linens, water, just everything. We have been to places where I was afraid to cook in the kitchen because of the flimsyness of everything. It was like walking in to my own kitchen. The beds were comfortable and there was room for everything we brought. The view was magnificent and the slopes were close enough that my skiers didn't mind the walk to the lift.

Taos Perfection!

For two families we found this cabin to be just right! From the location to the layout of the home we just loved our stay. Each family had two children so four all together staying upstairs in the loft. They had a vacation of their own as the sleeping arrangements and loft space proved to be everything you'd hope for. The bunkbeds, center bed with trundle and the little nook with a bed gave each child their choice of comfort. The two bedrooms for adults held the same comfort level. The kitchen was extremely well stock allowing for wonderful nights cooking in. I'm the parent who stays in enjoying all the cabin offers while the rest are on the mountain all day. The location was directly above town allowing me to drive in very easily for lunch or to meeting the rest of the crew. Same for lessons, the kids all enjoyed both ski and snowboarding lessons daily. We couldn't get them off the mountain. Highly recommend Taos and this chalet!!

Perfect Family Escape!

We loved staying in this chalet! Our family included adults and college-age kids and there was plenty of room for everyone. Easy to ski on/off and walk to/from the village once you know the layout of the location to the base. We recommend an SUV and we easily made it up the road and driveway. This chalet has high-end appointments and the owners have left necessities for a comfortable stay - tea, zip-loc bags, jar of candy, spices and cooking supplies - we made fabulous meals in the large kitchen. I hesitate to tell everyone how great it was in case it is booked the next time we come to Taos!

3 Minute walk to ski run, luxurious chalet, gorgeous view

My husband and I stayed for a week of skiing. We found the walk to the ski run (short walk uphill and across the road) very convenient. The chalet is very nicely appointed. It is both comfortable and luxurious. The kitchen met the requirements of my husband, who has high expectations. We hope to return to this chalet next year. We could potentially invite two other couples and still have plenty of privacy, but then again, it was great to have the whole space to ourselves! Lastly, the owners are very organized, making the reservation process smooth.
