Coastal Calm in Cooks Beach is a modern, family-friendly bach with beautiful estuary views and sea views, with space for up to 8 adults and 3 children. Designed for easy holidays and relaxed living, this welcoming home is the perfect place to unwind and slow down.
The home features three bedrooms and two bathrooms, including an en-suite off the main bedroom. The main bedroom features a queen bed and opens onto the main deck with peaceful views across the estuary.
Bedroom two has access to a covered deck with festoon lighting - a lovely spot to enjoy meals or an evening drink.
The third bedroom is a fantastic bunk room for kids, with two sets of bunk beds.
A separate garage has been thoughtfully set up as additional accommodation, complete with a queen bed, sofa bed, TV, kitchenette (fridge, microwave, toaster, kettle), and its own bathroom — ideal for extended family or older children wanting their own space.
The open-plan living area is bright and inviting, with comfortable seating and a flatscreen Smart TV. Large sliding doors create excellent indoor-outdoor flow to the deck, where you can relax on the outdoor couches and take in the estuary views. A large picture window features a cosy window seat — perfect for reading or an afternoon snooze. A heat pump keeps the home comfortable year-round.
The well-equipped kitchen has everything you need for your stay, including a full-size fridge and dishwasher. There’s seating at the island bench, plus a small table with chairs — great for keeping the cook company or enjoying casual meals.
Laundry facilities include a washing machine and an outdoor washing line.
Outside, enjoy a small lawn area and plenty of space to relax and enjoy the setting. The property is on water tanks, so guests are kindly asked to be mindful of water usage. There is car and boat parking available. There are also two kayaks with life jackets and two push bikes available for guests to use.
The bach is just a 2-minute walk to the estuary and playground, and around 7 minutes’ walk to the stunning sands of Cooks Beach.

Cooks Beach is a popular holiday spot not too far from Whitianga, with a stunning white sandy beach and sparkling blue water. It's perfect for a morning stroll and swimming. The beach is not patrolled by Surf Lifesavers, so always watch the conditions. With Shakespeare Cliff to the west and the sheltered Purangi Estuary to the east. Take a walk up Shakespeare Cliff; the views are some of the most beautiful you will see. You can also walk down to the beautiful Lonely Bay with its large limestone boulders and white sands; it's a photographer's dream. Cooks Beach itself is perfect for a morning stroll and swimming. You can launch the boat from the Estuary end of the beach, just watch the tides. Cooks Beach has a convenience store and some great eateries. And of course, on the way to Cooks Beach, there are 2 wineries to check out!
Not too far away is Ferry Landing, which has Australasia's oldest stone wall wharf built in 1837; from there, you can catch the passenger ferry to Whitianga.
You are also a short drive away from Hahei, where, when conditions allow, you can walk the track to the world-renowned Cathedral Cove. The walk takes about 40-45 minutes. If you're not up to the walk, you can catch the Water Taxi from Hahei Beach. Also not too far away is Hot Water Beach, where at low tide you can dig a hole and sit in your own little hot pool. Spades can be hired from the local shop.
