Cabin amongst the trees

1 bedroom secluded cozy cabin in the trees. Perfect for a romantic getaway, a chance to get away on your own and unwind, or an office away from home!

Enjoy a drink on one of the cozy rockers in your private screened in porch. You may get lucky and spot the herd of deer, the flock of geese or the array of local birds and other wild animals.

The cabin is well situated on our property with its own private drive. You will definitely feel secluded and within your own space. Relax on the queen size bed and enjoy a selection of streaming on the smart TV.

10 mins from adorable downtown Waxhaw. Enjoy a nice stroll around the local shops or grab a bite at one of our many local restaurants. Just to name a few:

Blue Door Diner- great for sandwiches or excellent pre-packaged meals, Marcella is one of the owners and very friendly!

Provisions- great local, eclectic diner known for their Reuben sandwich and selection of local tea and coffee. You can also explore the aisles of unique grocery store items.

The Tap house- excellent bar with nice outdoor seating and occasionally live music during the weekends. Also enjoy the delish food truck in the outdoor patio, awesome burgers, fish and chips!

What a beautiful place to visit! We love the cabin, amazing views with wildlife that come to eat right in front of the picture windows. Walking trails along a stream that are peaceful and quiet. Very accommodating hosts and we were grateful to be able to stay at Christmas. The welcoming staff (Midge the dog and friends) made us feel loved the minute we arrived. This is our new favorite place to stay in the area! Thanks again

This is such a cozy, private place to stay. We enjoy the location based on proximity to family we visit here. It is roomy enough for the two of us, has everything we need, and perfect for the amount of time we spend in the cabin in the evenings and morning.

Excellent! This cabin was just what we needed for our wedding anniversary weekend. The cutest cabin! Very clean and everything we needed. We loved the wooded area and the deer roaming in the mornings. Not far off the road but enough to where it was very private. The town of Waxhaw was great! We enjoyed walking around and having dinner there each night. We spent the day in Charlotte and visited The Billy Graham Library and shopping. We were greeted by Midge the owner’s dog. The sweetest! Great stay!

The cabin is very peaceful. The host has an awesome information sheet with things about the cabin and suggestions for places to visit. My husband and I appreciated the suggestions and information about the cabin. We would 100% stay here again.

Practically Perfect in Every Way!

Beautiful, Love the views, simplicity and special touches.I'd read other reviews and wasn't surprised by neighborhood school's playground and baseball field noises, or the main house being fairly close (although I never saw the residents or any other houses for that matter). The dog stopping by was a lot of joy, as was sitting on the porch listening to song-birds and watching fireflies at night. Very much nestled in the woods of a very nice neighborhood. I'd love to reserve a long weekend at least 3-4x a year if I actually lived in any of the nearby cities! It's a perfect retreat from chaos.

Visiting my dad

Came to this lovely getaway while visiting from the Pac NW. The 10/10 stars are warranted. Space is delightful, surrounding property peaceful, host super responsive, and access to downtown Waxhaw just a short 10 minutes drive. Covered, screened in porch perfect for listening to birds & crickets. Blackout shades mean no waking before you’re ready. Would gladly stay again.

Excellent stay

My wife and I loved it. Hosts were great! Perfect area. We like to hike and enjoyed several trails nearby. We also love to eat and enjoyed restaurants 10 minutes away.

Short stay while visiting family

We booked this little cabin because we were visiting family nearby. We arrived and returned in the dark each night. The cabin is lit up nicely, the host’s recommendation to pull in rather than back in was much appreciated and followed.We didn’t spend much time there during the day, so never explored the wooded lot. We did enjoy the view from the couch area and screened porch while having coffee in the morning.The cabin is well built and is tucked behind a home in a neighborhood. While the cabin is in sight of the home, shades are provided for all windows on that side for privacy. Based on the write-up from the host, we thought we would see their pets outside, but never did. We did get to watch squirrels and birds each morning.We always bring our own ground coffee when we travel, but this place didn’t have a coffee pot for brewing. It did have a Nespresso machine and they provided 5 pods, which only gave us enough for 1 day. We are not familiar with the Nespresso and did purchase some at the grocery, but they didn’t work in the machine because they were the wrong size/type. So be prepared for that.The cabin is near a school, so also be prepared to hear the loud noise of the game announcers. We didn’t mind because it reminded us of being home, but if you expect quiet in the early evening, hope there isn’t a game!We will book here again the next time we visit our family. It is in a great location for us and we really enjoyed the cabin.

A picturesque cabin in the woods

We enjoyed our short stay in this cabin. It was such a beautiful cabin! The porch overlooked a grassy bottom field with a creek running thru that you could hear and where we seen deer come through to the neighboring property. We stayed here for the Nascar race in Charlotte, but wanted to feel like we were home and so we want to thank the Van Galens for opening their cabin up to us to stay in. You have a beautiful place and we highly recommend anyone to stay here.! Sincerely, Sean and Melissa Van Wie

Amazing Getaway

This Property is amazing I went for some peace and quiet time and it was absolutely that and then some. The owners were very hospitable and just genuinely good people who really care about their guests and it shows from the time you enter the property. Cabin amongst the trees is a must have experience.

A great property. A little too suburban for us. The noise from the school and surrounding neighborhood was quite loud during the day and well into the evening.
