Fun for the whole family, a romantic get-a-way or girls weekend. We have it all

PICK ME! PICK ME! Chip Loves company. This cute little cottage is nestled in between St. Joseph (9 miles south) and South Haven(12 miles north) along the Lake Michigan shoreline. It is one mile south of Roadside park and one mile north of Hagar Park. These public beaches are surprisingly secluded and wooded in what guests have described as a diamond in the rough. There is plenty to do in both directions. Chip's Place is a cozy Family friendly cottage. We are NOT large enough for parties inside or outside. We have taken great pride and care to create an experience for our guests that will create happy memories of the cottage by the big Lake.
Chip's has one central air conditioner in the main room that keeps the entire cottage cool and both bedrooms have ceiling fans.
Guests' enjoy activities in the surrounding communities for year long adventures.
We have received high marks for decor, activities, amenities and cleanliness!
There is one camera in front as added security for the parking area.

Very cute, clean and comfortable! All the extras were present and needed. The outside could use tiny touches of refreshing but this was one of our favorite places we’ve stayed. We like how it’s close to St. Joseph, Coloma and South Haven.

Check in and out was easy peasy. This was a home away from home with all the amenities you need. Very peaceful and accommodating. The photos are true. This cabin is beautiful. I will definitely share Chip's Place with friends. We enjoyed Hagar Park beach just down the road and DiMaggio's pizza nearby as well. It's a quick drive to St. Joseph. Highly recommend. Thanks Dawn!

A nice quiet place to stay if visiting nearby St. Joseph. We also had close by access to some smaller, less crowded beaches that were nice. Overall, it was a great stay.

Quiet, cozy, clean, well-equipped cottage. Close to activities we had planned. Communication was promptly answered on a couple things that came up. Would definitely stay here again if in the area. Love the bear carving on the deck! Chip’s Place is the place to stay.

Cute Cottage centrally located

Small little cottage was perfect for our family of 4 (two kids under 10). Dawn was an excellent host with a few surprises that my kids thoroughly enjoyed. Thank your for the smore's and breakfast treats! She was very quick with communication when we had questions and the check-in and check-out process was a breeze. The cottage is in a small, quiet community that is not far from a quiet roadside beach park and a 15 minute drive from St. Joseph or South Haven beaches. Perfect place to stay at if you are wanting to explore the area and beaches.

Quick girl’s get away

Chip’s place was very clean, comfortable and welcoming. It is appointed simply yet had everything we needed. The coffee pods were great and we left the s’mores supplies for the next young guests. It is close enough to St. Joe’s for us to attend our events there, but off the beaten path with many hidden gems nearby. Quiet neighborhood with lush vegetation. Very relaxing. I hope to return.

Beach getaway

This is an awesome place to stay if you are going to South Haven and St.Joe/Silver Beach. Kitchen had everything together on one shelf to make my coffee cake and all the dinnerware needed to serve it along with a nice size dining room table. Stocked with coffee and creamer for every morning which was amazing!! Dishwasher with soap provided. Also has a washer and dryer with detergent. The first thing my teens did though upon entering was to find the games and set up twister! Our highlight though was the s’mores in the backyard with everything provided. Dawn was very quick to get back to me when I asked questions and was ok with one of my son’s who was passing through the area to spend one of the nights with us. The window a/c in the living room really does keep the whole place cool at night, and we even had our door shut with the overhead fan on. Would go back in a heartbeat!

Nice clean little property just down the road from Hagar park beach. Dawn was responsive and had the house stocked with all the necessities. Overall, 9/10. Only downside was the attached neighbors shooting fireworks at the house.

Perfect little cottage close to beach

We had a wonderful stay at Dawn’s cottage! Everything was clean and it was perfect location between St. Joe and South Haven. Would definitely stay again!

Chip’s Place was immaculate and had so many thoughtful touches from snacks and toiletries to books and games. The nearby pizza place is yummy, but otherwise it was a bit of a drive to other activities. Everything was an easy drive, though. We didn’t try to walk to Hagar Beach as it would entail crossing and walking along the highway.

Perfect Getaway Cottage!

Dawn's property was just right for our family of three, perfectly sized, thoughtful details, and a well stocked kitchen and laundry area. Dawn was very responsive to every message I sent. Coloma is an adorable area, off the beaten path of St Joe and Benton Harbor - we enjoyed every meal we had at various restaurants and Hagar Beach was perfectly sized for us. Thank you, Dawn!

Perfect getaway weekend

My sister and I stayed here for a relaxing weekend. The house was perfect and had literally everything we needed. The location was great as well. The smores were the perfect touch to end our evenings by the fire.

We enjoyed our stay - the place was super clean. We enjoyed all the extras - donuts etc. I wish that there would have been ice in the frig. and a mirror in the bedroom so more that one person can get ready for an outing at a time. Thanks for a great stay.
