Cozy, quiet and beautifully cared for cottage. Felt like a true home away from home, except with nicer kitchenware and a gorgeous covered back deck overlooking the woods. We had so much fun at nearby Hagar beach (also cozy and well cared for) and then returning to the cottage to roast marshmallows under the starry sky.

Wooded retreat

We loved our stay. It was clean and had all needed amenities. Drove to Rocky Gap Beach because it’s easier to access with a cement ramp. Great place!!!!

Quiet quaint cottage near Hagar Beach. Well appointed , nice quality furniture/mattresses and stocked kitchen. This is our second stay and we loved having the board games and the space for our kids.

A cute and charming cottage. A little small for my liking but it was clean and comfortable for our short stay. The back porch looking out to the woods is peaceful and relaxing. I will say the bedroom on the main floor gets incredibly hot during the night. All in all it was a nice visit. Thank you for your hospitality!

This is the most adorable little cottage! We spent a couple hours out on the back deck almost every day. So serene and the weather couldn’t have been any better. Everything you could need for your stay was provided in this immaculate cottage. Kitchen was well supplied with all your needs, including coffee. Also the bed was very comfortable. Such nice attention to detail in decor and finishes. First time staying in this area of Michigan and so happy we did. Would stay again in a heartbeat! Thanks for sharing your little slice of heaven.

Beautiful property, convenient to wineries, breweries, and restaurants, yet far enough away to be peaceful and quiet. Great park/beach within walking distance for amazing sunsets. Clean and well stocked with amenities. Wish we could’ve stayed a couple of additional days!!

Adorable Cottage

My daughters and I stayed for our annual girl’s week trip. The cottage was clean and comfortable. The location was great for visiting beaches, restaurants, and shopping in St Joseph, Benton Harbor, and South Haven. We had a nice relaxing stay!

Cozy cottage

Very nice little cottage. Laid out nicelyn on the smaller solide but laid out where you don't feel cramped even with a family of 4. Perfect getaway spot very close to Lake Michigan. We had an awesome time!

Beautiful home and property, check in was easy, area was great. 2 min to the beach. My teens had a great time. The outdoor shower and watching the owls at night were an added bonus!

What an adorable and comfortable little house! Everything was setup wonderfully and we were made to feel very welcome. We loved how close it was to Hagar Beach which was incredible. And it was an easy trip into town to get food and explore. We will definitely be back next year.

Beautiful and Cozy Coastal Cottage

We really enjoyed our stay at the cottage. We were so pleased to find all of the amenities of home, plenty of space for us our two children and my in-laws to stay comfortably. The cottage is beautifully decorated in beach and lake decor and the owners are very friendly and accommodating. The cottage is close to South Haven and Saint Joseph - many beaches close by. We would definitely come back and recommend to our friends and family!

Amazing

This house is perfect for a family of five and even if you have small children. This was our first family vacation and I wouldn’t have changed anything. Our kids are 5,3,2 and totally safe and didn’t have to worry about them getting into anything or hurting themselves.

Great stay!

Attention to detail was outstanding! Owner clearly takes a lot of pride in good work and thinking of your every need. Great location between St. Joseph and South Haven. We found St Joe to be more easily accessible btw the two. The beach is right at the top of the street and really nice. If you like quiet, secluded, out of the mix but close to it... this is a fit for you. Highly recommend.

Fantastic!

The owners are very communicative and detailed. We had everything we needed for our stay plus some which made our stay simple and comfortable. The home is gorgeous and completely updated. It is very small but in a cozy way because things are laid out very nicely. We debated getting a hotel for our stay but are so glad we found this rental home instead. Thank you for a wonderful experience!

WOW!! Relaxing getaway

Love!! This little place was a perfect getaway for our family of 5. We took a long weekend getaway with our 3 kids (7, 5, & 20 month old) and had a great time. This little cottage was perfect, and so roomy for our family. It was a home away from home- but only much much nicer!! Can't wait to go back to see all the different seasons. Will tell all my friends and family and so will you. You will LOVE this place. Thank you.

Well appointed cottage

This cottage was renovated well, very comfortable and had everything you might need (except maybe bug spray!) We enjoyed our stay - sat in the chairs to visit when we arrived, visited the fruit stand, the beach and St. Joes, all near by. Our only concern was that the 2nd bed is not a bed. The owners have moved one of the pull out couches to the downstairs space. The living room is lovely for hanging out and visiting. We really enjoyed everything else about the house. However, if we had known there was no 2nd bed we would have picked a different place. The owners were very responsive to questions and the house is super clean. (There was even plastic wrap for our leftovers!)

Cozy, clean and quiet

This cottage has everything we wanted. It is exactly as pictured: clean, new, cozy and well appointed. Todd was extremely responsive and helpful and made sure we had everything we needed to have an enjoyable stay. The walk to the lake was easy and a nice option to have. The fire pit was great as well. They even had some wood on hand they said we could use. Very nice. I would definitely stay again, especially in the summer to enjoy the lovely back deck and to try to see what kind of wildlife can be seen in the back wooded area. While at the cottage we enjoyed playing board games, making tea and simple meals, though one could make anything with the well stocked kitchen, and just reading and relaxing. They do have Netflix but we never tired of all the other relaxing ways to enjoy our time to need it. This is a great place and I hope to be back soon!

Perfect Getaway for Families

Everything about this little cottage was so well done, from the convenient, thoughtful little touches like USB charging ports on all the lamps and built in baby gate at the top of the stairs, to the tasteful original artwork and decor. We stayed with our two boys ages 3 & 5. They absolutely loved their little private bedroom downstairs. It was nice to have a comfortable living room area for playing games and watching movies. We took walks and bike rides on the secluded wooded roads around the house. Hagar Park Beach is only 2 minutes from the house and was the perfect spot for our kids to play on a nice clean sandy beach that also has an impressive playground area. We visited Sarett Nature Preserve as well, only about 10 minutes away. And it's a short drive into the main St Joe downtown area. This was just the perfect little vacation spot for us. I'm not sure it would be suitable for more than a family of 4-5 and we definitely wouldn't have wanted to bring younger children due to the space, but for us it was great. The owners had excellent communication and we will definitely be back!

Comfortable small cottage

Cute little cottage, updated, clean. Very easy walk or super short drive to Hagar Beach, which we love, it's never packed with people, great sandy, clean beach! The house had some nice amenities for the kitchen, sugar, spices, coffee and Keurig that were super appreciated - the little things you forget or don't want to buy for a week or long weekend away. Loved that we had use of the washing machine and dryer! And awesome outdoor shower so you don't bring the beach into the house. The neighborhood is tucked away, very quiet on a gravel road. Wish Coloma itself had more to do but it's not a bad drive to St. Joseph or South Haven. We loved the house, only minor complaint we had was that the downstairs area that my thirteen year old loved having to herself was freezing cold, there was no way to regulate the air conditioning so that we were comfortable upstairs and she didn't freeze downstairs. But not a deal breaker. Owners were very kind and made our check in super easy. Thank you!
