Located in the beautiful Gulf Coast town of Venice, Laurel Bungalow is nestled in the quiet neighborhood known as the Historic Edgewood District, just off the Island of Venice. Enjoy all the luxuries of Florida right under your roof or hop on your bicycle and ride 1/2 mile to the Legacy Trail, 1 mile to downtown Venice or 2 miles to Venice Beach or Casperson's Beach (the Sharks Tooth Capital of the World). Laurel Bungalow boasts a private heated saltwater pool, outdoor kitchen w/ Green Egg and gas grill, covered seating area with television, fire table, outdoor shower and detached "pool house" with a queen bed and home theater with 86" TV. The home also has a cozy screened porch with separate fenced in side yard. The main house has a comfortable living room, dining table that easily seats 8, kitchen, laundry room/bath, 2 bedrooms (one king bed and one queen bed) plus office with high speed WiFi. 3rd bedroom (with queen bed) is located in detached pool house. Our neighborhood has a playground/park, baseball fields, tennis & pickle ball courts. Conveniently located to all Venice has to offer~ beach, shopping, restaurants, theater, golf, bike trails, you name it! ~ and everything else you'll find right under your own roof! Laurel Bungalow is a dog friendly, non-smoking property. This is a private residence, with a private pool, and not shared by other rental homes.

Property was AMAZING!! Exactly as advertised. Very welcoming and so cozy. WELL appointed and great location...the property lacked nothing! Already booked for next year. Greg was a great host, so quick to reply to any questions we may have had. We will be dreaming of that back yard for many weeks! Cannot wait to return!

This was truly an awesome experience. The house is clean and has any and everything you could ever need!! The host always got back to me in minutes! Perfect check in notes and a detailed book of all the instructions for the house. The pool was perfect and the pool house was a private oasis from the main house. The outside shower is delightful and the fenced yard brought comfort in letting the dogs run. The screened patio was enjoyable and the lanai was such a beautiful space to just hang out and unwind with friends. We appreciate having the dogs with us on vacation! We would definitely recommend and hope to return to enjoy this wonderfully decorated, eclectic house!

Our 3 weeks exceeded our expectations. We had prompt communications with the hosts. The landscaping was beautiful and well kept, allowing for complete privacy on the grounds.The pool was sparkling. Inside, the home and pool house provided comfortable and interesting furnishings. There was great attention to every detail throughout to provide for a memorable stay.

We stayed here for 4 weeks and we really enjoyed our vacation. The backyard is amazing and that's where we spent most of our time. Very secluded that you don't even feel your in town. The house itself is an older home with vintage decor. There was a funky smell when we first got there, but it seemed to improve after a few days or maybe we just got used to it. (Not sure which one) The main bathroom is pretty small but my husband loved the outdoor shower so I pretty much had the bathroom to myself. We walk an hour every morning and the Legecy Park (with the bike trail) was only a 3 minute drive. Publix was two stoplights down on Venice Blvd and downtown shopping was just over the bridge, so quick access to many things. Greg & Edie were great hosts and responded to any issues we were having.

Great location to beaches! Many great restaurants with 30 minute radius. Close to downtown Venice! My husband and kids had a blast fishing on the beach and combing the beaches for shark teeth. The pool and outdoor patio setup was outstanding! We loved the outdoor shower, great touch after a long day at the beach. We also enjoyed a trip to legoland for the day!

Wonderful Venice Florida home!

We enjoyed everything about this home! Convenient location! Our dogs loved chasing the lizards! The pool was perfect! Great covered outdoor space. Great porch with comfortable swing chairs. We were very comfortable for our 2 week stay!

Such a unique home in so many ways. Design, outdoor space and decor. Each interior room stylistically seemed different from the rest. Fun knickknacks had me smiling and lingering in some rooms. Highly recommend!

Amazing outdoor space!

Beautiful and inspiring home

Our family had a fantastic stay at Laurel cottage. From the moment you enter until the back yard with the pool this property is a dream. Very comfy beds, great outdoor area for meals. Lots of room to rest and play.

We checked in 5/30/25 and checked out 6/6/25. We had an amazing time with our 4 granddaughters and dog. We have stayed in this area many times before, however this is now our most favorite rental. That is saying a lot as we have been renting vacation properties for 50 years. As good as the pictures are, the property is even better in person. We will defiantly be staying here again. It is close to all the things we love to do in Florida and the home exceeded our expectations.

WONDERFUL!!!!!

Love Laurel Bungalow. It is adorable, comfortable, and loved our stay. The furniture is not only cute, it is very comfortable. Our beds were so comfortable, and the room was roomy. Everyone who came to visit loved it. I loved having coffee on the screen porch, swimming in the pool, and the outdoor shower!! The Hosts were wonderful!

Wonderful stay

What a wonderful home with everything considered and thought out so well! We were rained in for a couple of days and kept busy with games, puzzles, and great porch swings for reading nooks and storm watching. Thank you!

We both grew up in Venice, know the area extremely well and spent a considerable amount of time choosing the perfect "fixer upper" to scratch our itch for remodeling homes. In 2014, when we found Laurel Bungalow it was a no brainer, with its 1950's charm, ideal location and space for expansion, this was a perfect fit for us. Our vision was to create a home space where we would never have to leave or go on vacation because home FELT like vacation. The home has been completely remodeled and updated with all the creature comforts while preserving its simple, original charm. The backyard has been designed with care; ideal for morning coffee, pool gatherings, outdoor dinners with friends, football watching from the pool, sipping wine while the sun sets and just about every scenario you could envision. We added the pool, covered patio with outdoor kitchen and t.v., detached garage and pool house (personally used for guests w/ a luxury Murphy bed) and our very own home theater with reclining seats and 86" TV!
