The perfect family vacation destination

The Space:
This wonderful family-friendly vacation home has amenities for everyone!
Conveniently located a block from the beach/park and three blocks from shops, food and marina.

Bedroom 1: King Bed
Bedroom 2: Queen Bed
Bedroom 3: Queen Bed and twin bunk beds
Bedroom 4: Twin bunk beds

House sleeps 10 in beds

All linens and towels provided

There is a fully equipped kitchen open to the rest of the living space because somehow everyone always ends up in the kitchen, right? Plenty of dinnerware, pots and pans, cooking utensils, toaster, instapot, coffee maker (including complimentary coffee, filters and creamer!)

Gas Grill with propane tank is provided. We do not refill the tank, so when it goes empty, please feel free to exchange the tank at a local gas station for around $20.

Dining: Kitchen Counter with 2 stools. Dining room table that seats 6.

Front Porch: Small table, chairs and umbrella for breakfast outdoors.

Backyard: Picnic table seats four. Fire pit and wood for use.

Games: Cards, Board Games

Washer and Dryer

Tons of Amenities Included:
Toilet paper, paper towels, dish soap, dishwasher detergent, salt & pepper and soap provided!

Beach Equipment: sand chairs, large beach mat, cooler bag, sand toys and beach cart provided

Fishing Rods and a basic tackle box is provided for fishing the many fishing spots in the area.

Bikes** are available for use. Basketball, tennis racquets for use at the park.

** Bikes are repaired annually by a local bike shop. We do not inspect the bikes after every stay, so we cannot guarantee their safety and availability. We offer them as a courtesy to our guests. If people are reckless with them, it will limit use for future guests, so please be respectful. If something gets damaged, please let us know.

Great location

It was great to come back at night and sit on the patio with the fire pit and relax with the views. Everything was clean and upkept.

Perfect Location for Family of Playground Age

We stayed at this home with another family (4 adults, 4 kids ages 3-4 total) It was a perfect location within walking distance to a large park with a playground and a small beach. A short drive into town. And walking distance to get coffee each morning. The bunk beds and twin beds worked out well for the kiddos as well. Although I’m not sure if I missed the description in the original listing, but the master bedroom doesn’t have a door for privacy, so beware But overall the house more than met our needs with a nice kitchen for cooking small meals at night, a washer and dryer for small loads of laundry after beach days, and the communication with the host was 10/10! I would stay here again in the future

Great place but...

Would have appreciated a clear description of stairs. On arrival discovered that one relative could not handle stairs easily. Then sleeping arrangements became a challenge because there was only one bedroom on first floor that would work. The room had extra beds that could not be used.

Pink Mold, dirty floors. Have pics but no way to post them here.

Aside from the rude lying house keeper, that refused our kind gentle cleaning suggestions such as using bleach,& soft scrub stating “the house was this dirty when we bought it” I honestly cannot understand why that would be an acceptible excuse for the filthy floors & pink mold, it is an old cute house, owners jumping to conclusions after speaking with their house cleaning relative, daughter, niece, ( not sure which) was appalling, not even asking us what the issues were, I have 4 rentals & have never ill treated my guests as we were.

RENT TO JOANN AT YOUR OWN RISK. Our home has been a rental for over a year & we have never had a problem with a guest, or an issue with the cleanliness of our property. I can only assume that Joann had unrealistic expectations of a home rental, as this was her first VRBO experience. ABUSIVE BEHAVIOR & PROFANITY IS NEVER ACCEPTABLE; WE HAVE ZERO TOLERANCE FOR IT. If Joann or her guests had an issue with the house; it’s safety or cleanliness, they should have contacted us immediately, which they did not. Four TV remotes from the bedrooms went missing upon their departure.

Golfing Weekend

Your house was perfectly located for the golf courses we played. It was also nice that after a long day of golf we could walk to get dinner. The house itself was very nice and clean. Thanks for allowing us to enjoy your home.

Big sized home and perfect for a family vacation. Beautiful area within walking distance to a park with a beach. Enjoyed running around to local farms. I’d stay at this property again and recommend it to others!

Great location!

This property did ultimately work out for us however it may be better suited for a family with elementary age children. With a group of equals one party will be sleeping in a king size bed with an adjoining bathroom, while another guest is sleeping in a twin. This was in the description, so it is on us if we had any unhappy campers. The various levels on the floors should be highlighted more in case someone in the group is using a walker or has a crawling baby. We had to contact the owner to figure out how to use the coffee maker. I would suggest either having a simple, typical type or leaving directions readily available near the unit. There is no good reading lights in the living room. The location was wonderful for walking and we enjoyed the pizza from Sonny's. Overall we had a great weekend. Thank you!

Images accurate /Location is outstanding!

We were harried, rushed and just generally exhausted by laying my father to rest. The house was a sanctuary where we could just have time to decompress. The rooms were cozy, and hosts provided three styles of fans for the white-noise connoisseur in me. We hope to fish, use sports equipment and enjoy our next visit. Thank you.

Cozy Vacation Cottage

This house was a perfect vacation cottage, cozy yet roomy for my adult children and spouses to have their own rooms with privacy. The cottage is nicely remodeled with modern furnishings while maintaining and older cottage feel. The location is perfectly situated for a short 5-minute want to the water, coffee shops, shopping and restaurants. The host was very gracious making us feel like we were guests in there vacation home while the same time providing the same responsive service one would expect at a resort. They are very conscious of their guest experience and were responsive to an issue that arose during our stay. Strongly consider staying at the Sturgeon Bay cottage and enjoy your day trips up the peninsula.

Had a group of work friends together for a fishing outing in the area. House had ample space and bedrooms. Nice kitchen and living room to relax. Would highly recommend!

Wonderful location. Excellent house.

There were six of us: my wife and I, our daughter and her husband, and two grandkids ages 5 and 3. The house was just as described - very clean and much more fully equipped than other VRBO properties we've rented. All appliances and systems worked as they should, including plenty of hot water. The location is super convenient, especially the very short walk to a great playground (Otumba Park) and adjoining beach. The kids loved it! Comfortable walk, too, to nearby restaurants, and downtown shops. The weather was sunny and warm, probably the nicest 3 consecutive days we've had all year. One cautionary note: the stairs to the 2nd floor are quite steep and partially open on one side, so make sure children navigate them with care. I don't give out 5 star ratings whimsically. This property earned it!

Girls trip

We had a great stay! There was plenty of room for the 5 of us! Our hostess was awesome and answered any questions we had very quickly. Beach chairs, towels, bikes, tennis racquets, and anything else you could need was there! We appreciated the coffee and basic seasonings available for us! I highly recommend this home!

Great home and location

The house was perfect for our group, very clean and had everything we needed plus a few extras like bikes and beach chairs/umbrella. The location was great, a swimming beach and shore fishing a short walk away. Unfortunately we only got to use the beach once as it was closed the rest of the week for new sand work. But we had a great time fishing on the shore and even did some yoga by the lake. A great experience and we will be back!

Best location for kids !!

We loved our stay!! Everything we needed was at the home and more. This location was so perfect for our family, the beach and park is a short walk away. Just a short drive to all of our favorite things to do in door county, The Farm is a must for all ages.

Cute house with enough room for everyone.

Cute house, clean and decently stocked. One bedroom on main floor, 3 up. Kind of a steep staircase - probably not great for an elderly person. Enough room to spread out & sleep 8-10. Plenty of linens. Small living room area not pictured, with a couch and recliner. There is no door on the master bedroom. Could definitely use some room darkening blinds/curtains, a door on the master. Overall, we enjoyed our stay. Great "home base.". The upstairs rooms do get a little warm. Fans are provided.

Fun fall getaway

We had 2 families staying here. We all had our own rooms that worked out perfectly. Clean, plenty of blankets, kitchen amenities, washing machine. Home was in a great area, close to downtown. Walkable to the water and shops. We enjoyed our stay. Saw some great fall leaves! Thank you!
