WE ARE BACK! NEWER HEATED POOL/SPA WITH OUTDOOR TV! TOTALLY UPDATED duplex - Unit #1 -Sleeps up to 6 - featuring 2 bedrooms/1 bath, with sofa sleeper in living room - less than a block to the beach and near dining! The 1 bedroom Unit #2 is not rented and just used by the owners for visiting family occasionally with NO pool/Spa use - so private pool and spa for guests! Home features New white shaker kitchen with granite counters, HUGE new island with wine fridge, Coffee/Drink bar with beverage cooler, updated bathroom, All new stainless appliances - including dishwasher, refrigerator with ice makers/filtered water and large capacity stainless stackable washer and dryer! Unit has a dual KEURIG coffee maker (10 cup OR pods), Comcast high-speed wireless internet, ROKU Smart TV, all dishes, glassware, pots/pans, Ninja blender, electric juicer, beach towels and linens, 4 beach chairs, wagon and umbrella. Master bedroom has a King sized bed, a 50" ROKU TV, queen sized bed in the 2nd bedroom w/ 42" ROKU TV, a spacious open floor plan with kitchen island seating for 6, and a great room with a bar area, a new 65" 4K TV, lazy boy, NEW queen-sized sofa sleeper. There is a Weber grill in the fenced backyard with poolside deck/seating/area with 50" ROKU TV (table seating and chaise loungers) as well as a Hook game on a palm tree. Location is great in a quiet residential area with about a 4 minute walk to the beach - with beach access right on Flamingo Street!

We loved the beach house, it was very nice, clean, had everything we needed. Pool and hot tub were great. Very short walk to the beach, less than 5 minutes. They also provided all the necessary things for the beach , wagon, chairs, umbrella, toys. Definitely will come back.

Such a serene calm and very clean ( no sand on floors, sofa!) place to stay at. Has everything you need for home cooked meals, beach essentials ( even a foldable wagon). Will recommend and stay at again when in Fort Myers. Hosts very accommodating and quick to reply. Thank you for sharing your home with us.

Laurie is a wonderful hostess! The can opener was missing so one arrived the next day!! The home is clean and well laid out! Short walk to beach. The pool and hot tub are a step out the door! The kitchen is stocked with everything you need. We would stay here again 5 stars

Back to paradise

First stay after Ian. This is a fully renovated, fully equipped wonderful house . Have everything you need , owners are very friendly and helpful! We stayed with 3 kids all 10 and under , they loved the pool and hot tub . Close to the beach , I would definitely stay again .

Flamingo Nest

This property is perfect for a family or small group. It is incredibly clean and has virtually everything you would need to enjoy your stay. The kitchen is well supplied, the pool/spa has many toys, and the wagon/chairs/umbrella are perfect for the nearby beach. Laurie and Russ were great hosts and answered every question promptly and shared information about things to do in the area. We will absolutely return.

Spring Break family vacation

I can’t say enough positive things about our stay! Laurie and Russ have done such an amazing job even after the devastating hurricane on their place to make anyone feel comfortable and at home. They thought of everything to make your stay easier! From the island music playing on the bar when you first walk in, to the extra wireless charging docs, the cleanliness, the extra baggies for making beach lunches, to the little shampoos and conditioners in the shower. They even purchased new pool toys for your kids to use in their pool. They were incredibly sweet and very accommodating. If you get a chance to spend your vacation at their home you have to take advantage of it! We would definitely come back next year!

Our family loved it

Everything was exactly what you want, communication was great to start with. They have everything for you to enjoy a beach vacation. They have a beach wagon, chairs and umbrella to use on your two block walk to beach. If you want to get away from the beach, you can enjoy the day in a beautiful pool and hot tub, and nice patio with a tv. We cooked out nightly on a very nice genesis grill provided. Literally everything you need is provided in the house. Pots, pans, utensils a great kitchen and a coffee bar. Our family loved it and I imagine yours would as well. The house is very nicely decorated and redone from Hurricane Ian. Russ and Laurie are fantastic hosts, thank you for a wonderful vacation we loved it.

We are from the Chicago suburbs, but have owned vacation rentals in Florida since 2004 and do NOT like the Chicago winters! lol Hurricane Ian forced us to rebuild the Flamingo Nest, but it is back and better than ever! We love the NEWER HEATED POOL AND SPA and that the beach is just a few minute walk and dining on the Island near the old Pier/downtown (about 3 miles) for the day as well! We also enjoy kayaking in Lovers Key or just grabbing coffee or ice cream down the road! Our family just likes being outdoors, relaxing in the backyard overlooking the canal or grilling out. We love cooking and try to include everything that we use for the convenience of our guests.

We love the South Island location on the canal where you can Kayak or boat from your backyard - a short ride to the Gulf and Lovers Key to swim or relax, or just take a 3-5 minute walk to the beach and relax or swim! If you need more to do, take a short drive or rent bikes to visit the many restaurants, bars and souvenir shops nearby.

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

We love the ranch home that is 1 level and no stairs. Plus, it has all the comforts of home, including a fully stocked kitchen - refrigerator with ice maker and filtered water, dishwasher, coffee/drink bar with beverage fridge and separate wine cooler, full-size stackable washer and dryer, a NEWER HEATED POOL AND SPA - with an outdoor TV and fenced yard. It is also located on a canal and just take a short walk to the beach for sunsets. Everything has been updated due to Hurricane Ian as well - built in 1950's, so still standing strong!
