The Space:

Compass Cove 953 at Big Fish Rentals

Up to four people can be accommodated in our oceanfront condominium with a king bed, Murphy bed, and sleeper sofa. Full-sized appliances and a private bathroom are included. Savor the sight of the breaking dawn from your own balcony overlooking the ocean. The resort has great features like indoor and outdoor pools, hot tubs, lazy rivers, and kiddie pools. It's an amazing apartment in a fantastic resort.



The Neighborhood:

Enjoy a wealth of facilities at this resort on the sea. There are mesmerizing oceanfront pools, indoor and outdoor whirlpools, a lazy river, a large pool deck, and social areas that are warm and inviting. Check out the kid-friendly interactive splash area and indoor pool. Located a short distance from Broadway at the Beach, Market Common, Ripley's Aquarium, and a variety of well-liked restaurants, shops, golf courses, and amusement parks. It is also conveniently close to Family Kingdom Amusement Park.



The best perk of all is free wifi.



Getting Around:

The airport is easily accessible, and there are many of practical transit choices available, including Uber, taxis, and rental cars.



Other Things to Note:

Please be advised that this is a privately owned, non-smoking area that is not to be confused with a hotel room. Please treat this accomodation with the same consideration and decency that you would your own house. Although we try our best to respond to any issues as soon as possible, please be aware that we are not always on-site.

Excellent condo!

The stay was excellent and perfect. We stayed 6 nights. It was quiet, amazing view, super clean, everything in the condo worked perfectly! We loved being right on the beach and really enjoyed the starbucks, the bar and grill, pool, hot tubs, and lazy river. The stay was perfect! I would definitely book here again if the dates are available to do so when we take our family trip to myrtle beach once a year.

My family enjoyed their stay at this location and would absolutely return. There were a couple of cosmetic issues within the rental that I felt could have been taken care of to make the place look better. I did message Julie about these so that we would not be charged for damage and she was very responsive and helpful.

Mother daughter week get away

My mom and I wanted to quiet place to get away from Maryland for a few days! We have never been to Myrtle Beach and was up for a little adventure. The house was perfect for us two, and the balcony view was amazing. Had a lot of fun relaxing and enjoying the ocean and time with my mom. Thank you!

Very nice, but needs maintenance!

Condo was modern and super clean. There was no toaster, no blender, no door security latch. Microwave handle was torn off, toilet was running nonstop, refrigerator light bulb burned out, bathroom sink stopper sticks shut. Only one chair on deck. . Very nice fireplace.

Good Family Vacation

The place was very nice. It was clean. The building was clean and well managed. It seemed to be mostly families staying there. My only issues were all the extra fees you find out about after booking. In the renter agreement, there are fees for every little thing. For example, not washing and putting away your dishes before leaving. Another thing was, whenever I called the office, no one picked up and then I would get a text that they were busy with other tenants. The last issue, was there were no pots and pans even though the condo has a kitchen. We went to Walmart to buy some and left them for future guests. Other than those things we really enjoyed staying here. The only reason I would not book again is because there is no washer and dryer in the unit.

Property was nice and well maintained. Only one chair on the balcony was a bit disappointing considering 2 of us stayed in the room. Check in instruction email was lengthy and confusing. Parking deck at hotel is not easily identified. Room was clean. Fan in bathroom does not work, 2nd door in bathroom had a huge piece falling off, microwave door is all cracked and broken. Couch cushions sunk all the way in to the frame. Because of all the ‘rules’ I was concerned I would be blamed for all the broken items, so I did take time stamped photos. Beautiful view and overall a nice weekend, but I wouldn’t stay again.

Summer Vacation

We loved this condo! It was perfect for our family vacation. The room was very clean and the resort is excellent. It looks just like the pictures and was very nice. The only small issue we had was with the linens. The fitted sheet on the king mattress did not fit well and came off every night. I did email about it ,but no one ever responded. They were great to respond to every other message, so I'm sure that was probably an accidental oversight. There also was not a makeup removal towel or white and blue towels for kitchen use nor an oven mitt. Other than those small things, it was an excellent stay. We would definitely come again!

We have stayed at this condominium complex in the past and previously enjoyed a much higher standard of service, including room cleaning and more responsive support from management. Unfortunately, our most recent experience was quite different and disappointing.For a 5-day stay with 2 guests, we were provided only half a roll of toilet paper and four washcloths total. There was no washer or dryer in the unit, so we had no way to clean the washcloths during our stay. When we contacted management to request additional toilet paper and washcloths, we were told flatly that only the initial supplies provided at check-in were included, and no exceptions would be made.We found this policy to be very inconvenient and unlike what we have experienced in the past at this same complex. Furthermore, the response from management was unprofessional and dismissive, which added to our frustration.We ultimately had to purchase our own supplies just to meet basic needs, which was unexpected and disappointing for a stay of this duration and cost.We’re sharing this feedback in hopes that future guests will be better informed, and that management will consider revisiting how they support guests during their stay.

Horrible stay

To start with we were cheated with wrong description during booking. They didn’t mention one of the beds was a Murphy bed! Upon Enquiry they changed the description. When we checked in Friday night we saw there were dirty linens, dirty quilts, and I had pictures for everything and then the kitchen drawer was full of nasty food particles. The shower never stopped leaking. The AC’s never worked. We had to turn on the fans in spite of the room, being so damp and humid. The plug point in the kitchen was almost behind the stove top which made it so difficult for us to plug in the toaster. I repeatedly asked before the travel what kind of coffee machine we would and they confirmed we would get Keurig machine and hence I took K cup. Since we were given a normal traditional coffee machine, so I had no coffee. The Murphy bed was broken and had nasty trash behind the bed. The carpet in the bathroom was dirty.The chairs on the balcony were ripped off and they were old. I’ve never had experience like this with any other VRBO stay, so this is absolutely not acceptable from Vrbo and this is absolutely not something that we expect from Vrbo. This was a disgusting stay.

Disappointed.

Upon arrival (after buying $100 worth of groceries) we found a note on the refrigerator saying they were waiting on a part and that it wasn’t working but the freezer worked. Super frustrating! The “king” size sheet for the bed came off the corners every single night. There is a Murphy bed but it is broken and doesn’t fold up so since we couldn’t put it away my kids wanted to play on it which was extremely dangerous. We did let our child sleep in the Murphy bed but had to cover the headboard with blanket and pillows in an effort to make sure he didn’t stick an arm in the broken headboard near the rusty shelf nails. I would say this is probably not the best option for a family with small children. The coffee pot was halfway melted. Thank goodness we brought our French press. Fire hazard I do believe. As far as cleanliness I would say this is definitely not super clean. Surface level type of cleaning. Shower curtain is stained at the bottom (I guess expected because of sand and dirt). Murphy bed comforter was stained. When we walked in we were greeted by an absolutely overwhelming wall scent plug in but before walking in the room at all it smelled like someone had urinated in the hallway. Oh and let’s not forget the marijuana smell several times when sitting on the patio. Overall I wouldn’t stay again.

Not at all what we expected; too noisy all the time. Unit was described as King Bed and Queen. We had a King and Double Bed. Also the amenities list said a regular coffee maker and Keurig; we only had Keurig; we had planned for our coffee not Keurig. Very difficult to locate exactly which complex was which and where to park. No one we asked in the halls could seem to help us. Overall cleanliness was not good. Sheets did not fit the King Bed; would not stay on the mattress. Not up to resort ratings. Will not stay again.
