Located on highly desirable Central Park Avenue in Old Orchard Beach, this historic, quaint two bedroom cottage is located exactly where you want to be. In less than a 5 minute walk you will be on the beautiful sandy beach relaxing in the sun. About a 10 minute walk down First street and West Grand Avenue is the town’s downtown area. It is the home of Palace Playland, Maine’s only beach front amusement park. From there you will have access to the famous Old Orchard Beach Pier, restaurants, shopping and entertainment. You will have no shortage of summer time fun. Spend your days playing in the sun and surf! Come home and relax on the front porch before heading out for a round of mini-golf and dinner. The cottage has AC, WiFi, flatscreen cable TV and a sleep sofa. You and your guests will relax in comfort while being surrounded by the best that Old Orchard Beach has to offer. We’ll supply the linens, and you supply the fun. Small pets are welcomed.

We had a great stay in the perfect little house. My wife and I have vacationed in OOB for 20 years. This year we traveled with our new puppy. We were thrilled when we found this property was dog friendly. The location was close to the beach and the many small markets and restaurants. The owner of the house was great to work with.

Location is close to the beach! Only a few mins walk to the sand. We walked to bars, restaurants, the Playland and Pier easily. It was just that right size for my boyfriend, myself and our dog. If we had invited another couple for the whole week it might have been a tight fit, but fine to have an overnight guest. The owner’s communication was timely and informative. Great host!

Great week in OOB.

My husband and I had a great week. Walk to the beach with ease with my dog everyday. Walk to mini golf and restaurants. Check in was easy. Kitchen and bathroom are nice. Would love it if there was washer and dryer. The train going by is like My Cousin Vinny.

Perfect summer cottage

We truly enjoyed our stay at Evangelea’s cottage. It is very cozy and comfortable, and had everything we needed to enjoy our long 4th of July weekend in OOB. We appreciated the (brand new) beach chairs and umbrella, and the beach wagon to help transport all the beach paraphernalia! Evangelea and her husband went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect, and we truly appreciate how responsive, and communicative they were with us. Highly recommend!

Quaint Cottage is a great stay

We had a great stay at the quaint cottage. It was a last minute reservation when our original rental was cancelled a day before we were to arrive. The owners were very accommodating and helpful. The location is great especially if you are there for the beach & boardwalk activities.

Great place close to the beach

I stayed here with my 1 month old brother and 4.5 year old niece. It was small but perfect for us. It was extremely close to the beach but also walking distance from the pier and rides. The host was extremely communicative and accommodating. I would definitely stay here again!

This property was perfect for out stay. Close to everything including the beach and Pier. It was wonderful that we could bring our dog too! The property owner was great and so nice to deal with.

This place was so cute. With recent renovations there no was washer/dryer- however it worked out just fine for the two of us staying. Everything was within walking distance which was wonderful. It sat on a nice little side street.

Charming place perfect for a small family

This charming beach cottage was in a great location, just two blocks from the beach and within walking distance to the restaurants, amusement park, and pier at Old Orchard Beach. It was perfect for our small family of three plus our dog. The host was great to work with, very attentive and we loved the welcome basket with treats and a bottle of wine. The only downside was the washing machine that wasn’t hooked up, so we couldn’t use it and took up extra room in a smaller space. We also couldn’t find any wine glasses.

Absolutely amazing and quaint little cottage, exactly as described

This was the cutest little cottage and so cozy!! It was so clean and beautifully decorated, and it was the perfect size for my two toddler boys and me!! Evangelea was absolutely amazing and so sweet and helpful with any questions I had and even stopped by to check to see if I needed anything!! I was able to walk to the beach in just a few minutes and to the pier in around 10 minutes!! I had such an amazing experience, and I can’t wait to rent it again next year!! I would highly recommend this rental, I could give this 100 stars I would!!!

Lovely home for small family – Location is perfect!

We had an incredible experience with Evangelea’s cottage rental that started even before we got to the cottage. As our date approached, she sent a detailed list of included items in the home and recommendations on what to bring! Extremely helpful for anyone like me packing for a family which helped me save time and space! We were greeted with a welcome basket from the owners and a nicely decorated cottage that was clean and full of natural light. The beach is a 5-minute walk which allowed us to make quick trips back to the cottage for lunch, bathroom breaks, and attend to our fur baby. Speaking of our fur baby, this dog friendly property, is also a less than 5-minute walk to a beautifully maintained park which has an enclosed area for dogs to play. The only downsize is the train which runs through OOB, but if you want to be close to the beach the train is part of the package. Walking distance to the pier and beach were priority for us and this location was perfect! Evangelea, thank you for your hospitality and sharing your cottage with us.

Short walk to the beach!

My husband and I had a great time. The cottage is small so it's comfortable for one or two couples or for parents with 1 or 2 kids. We loved how close it was to the beach and the Pier! We walked everywhere and we loved sitting out on the front porch! It was also great that we were able to bring our puppy. She loved it too! The owners are wonderful and will answer any questions you have and accommodate you in anyway they can. It's also great that they provide sheets and towels so that you don't have to bring your own. They also provided beach chairs and umbrellas for our use which also was great so we didn't have to bring our own. The AC works wonderful and keeps the house nice and cool. We would definitely stay here again😊.

Minimalistic

Great location! The cottage is extremely small, lacks relaxation starting with the 10p do/don'ts welcome binder, seats 2 on couch/4 at table with no other room, it may sleep 6 but doesn't accommodate 6. Weekly rate/cleaning rates are over priced. Didn't anticipate minimal utensils/serving dishes, etc. The bathroom is the only room that has a mirror, the shower is a mere outdoor shower with 3 walls, shower head 6 " tall w/no rotation, no outlet for washer machine. Storage is a shared hot water tank closet with not entertaining needs, old dirty clothes, lack of entertaining supplies or cleaning products. Very, very disappointing, considering we spent a mortage payment on it for the week. Felt like we lived in filth for 7 days.

Great beach access

So, this is hard considering the host and her mother were great, however future renters should know that this cottage is very close to active train tracks with whistles blazing as trains leave the OOB station approach a nearby intersection. But, this is what you should expect if you are going to Old Orchard Beach yet this will rattle you no matter how much you love trains. Otherwise, this property does the job for a beach goers who are looking for a “summer shack” to hang out in. The insulation and air conditioning is excellent. New doors and window help with the train noise but if beach location is what you want, then this works. Enjoy the beach. We had a great time.

In town for a wedding.

Hard to tell from the listing and photos but not super accessable: high short stairs and awkward landing, bathroom on first floor. Two bedrooms are connected by wall with no ceiling so are better suited for family or parents and children. Very loud trains pass during the night. Owner had the place serviced when we told her the shower was not running and was very nice. Kitchen was suitable to cook and make coffee. Ac works - cottage gets lots of light. Great location.

Great getaway

The proximity to the beach is amazing! So close, but far enough from the hustle and bustle. The house had everything we needed for the week. It was perfect for just the two of us.

Great Beach Cottage!

House was clean and well furnished. Owners are super friendly. Location was great. Less than five minute walk to the beach and about ten minutes to the pier, shoos and amusement park.
