We couldn't have found a better location for our SW Coast exploring! Our mornings and evenings were just so sublime out on the comfortable deck watching the wildlife in the water and the many varieties of birds.The kitchen was spacious and stocked well enough for us to prepare and eat most of our meals. The furnishings worked well for us. The bedrooms and bathrooms were fine too. The washer and dryer were useful.Thank you Shelley for being so prompt with us for the few questions and needs we had during our stay, and for sharing your beautiful place with us!

Wonderful days in Sooke

We‘ve had a wonderful stay in this nice and comfortable place !!! We loved the evenings on the patio with a glass of wine and watching the sea !!!!! Hope we‘ll coming back sometimes….. Catrin and Frank

Rustic cottage

The floors are uneven, there is no soundproofing between the cottage upstairs, the pathway to the beach with the canoe is not manageable and unsafe, there are no screens on the doors, bamboo blinds that don’t block out the light, wood fireplace which we didn’t use as the fire extinguisher is dated 2002 and no carbon monoxide detector.

A great location .

A perfect set up for a group of 4 travelling . Location is great , view was lovely . Couple of housekeeping items were not looked after before we arrived but owners tried to get the issue’s fixed up quickly.

Clean, cozy, and great amenities!

Great property with all the amenities. Loved having use of the canoe, firepit, etc. Trail to the beach with a sitting area is a huge bonus and we enjoyed it daily. Could be a bit tricky with young kids or with mobility challenges. Seals in the bay and deer in the yard...we had a lovely stay and everything was clean and comfortable. Highly recommend.

Easy checkin. Spacious. Great view to the water. Nice bbq and well stocked kitchen. Nothing to fault although light blocking curtains rather than bamboo blinds in the bedrooms would have been nice.

Perfect stay

Spacious, clean, well appointed. Great location close to restaurants and grocery, we were there hoping to do some crabbing, and location to public dock and the aluminum row boat on site made that happen! Would have loved to extend our stay!

Calm & Relaxing

Thanks so much to Shelley for creating a lovely and relaxing space in Sooke. I had a wonderful weekend relaxing on the porch, cooking in the fully equipped kitchen and exploring the area. The rental was incredibly clean and I needed for nothing while I was there.

Nice quiet location with amazing view

We stayed 3 nights in Shelley's suite in Sooke. The unit was very clean, bright, and has an amazing view out into the Sooke bay. We didn't take advantage of the available canoe because we were out exploring all day, but it's a nice amenity to have. Next time I'm going to have to come back with my fishing gear as salmon were spotted jumping all over in the bay. Peter & Anna

Sooke retreat

A very nice well appointed 2 bedroom unit very close to all amenities. We really enjoyed the covered porch and propane fire bowl- such a great place to start and finish the day with a cup of coffee - watching the birds and seals in Sooke basin

Nice location

This house was in a great location with a lovely view. We enjoyed taking out the canoe and saw a whale spouting while we were eating breakfast one day! The place is a very good size, clean, comfortable and well set up.

Beautiful waterfront property

Beautiful home with lots to offer, including a canoe, fire pit and BBQ. We had a great time here and the host was very accomodating!
