Fall Foliage Getaway

We had a lovely stay . Joelle’s home was the perfect place on the lake to get away from it all. We sailed, canoed, feasted and relaxed. Deer Leap hike was awesome. Due to Covid , we had cancelled 2 previous trips to California and were so ready to vacation. This was a perfect choice , hours from our home. Lake Rescue is a gem.

Memorable Trip

What a week we had! So close to Okemo that you feel spoiled. We all had a blast watching the family of bald eagles while eating breakfast getting ready for our day. We will definitely be coming back! Maybe summer next time?!

Our family of 5 had a great time. The view of the lake is so peaceful and we made good use of the kayaks, nearby golf course, and a hike to the fire tower on Okemo. Communication with the owner was excellent and they were readily available to help troubleshoot two issues that arose. A great spot to slow down and unwind!

Wonderful stay

My family and I had a great stay at the house. It was perfect for us. Close to skiing at Okemo and a very picturesque setting on the lake. Joelle is very responsive to questions. Great house would highly recommend.

Excellent Rental!

Our stay was wonderful. The rooms were great size and 3 full baths were perfect for our group! Kitchen is remodeled, has plenty of utensils, pots/pans, etc...and very cozy. The living room with fireplace was fantastic. The place came with a ton of firewood too! Our stay was in the winter and our plan was to hit Okemo each day. The drive to Okemo was about 10 minutes so the location was great. Had we stayed in the summer, OMG, the location right on the water would've been incredible. We highly recommend this place for any family or slightly larger group for a stay in the summer or winter.

Family Ski Trip

Great stay; a lovely location and well-stocked kitchen. A few small things could have made it better - shampoo, conditioner, body wash and tissues were not provided; upstairs bathrooms could use some updating and a deep cleaning (some mold on caulk, missing trim on some doorways). Be aware that 4WD is needed to get out to the main road after fresh snow.

Cozy lakefront getaway

The house exceeded our expectations! We were 7 adults and there was more than enough room for all. The kitchen is well supplied with wares. The location and view is wonderful.

Okemo Ski Vacation

Beautiful house right on the lake- we had a great time (2 families, 8 people) the house comfortably accommodated us, and our host was excellent. Great location, very nice kitchen features. Overall we were very pleased with our stay- no problems whatsoever.

Excellent stay

What a wonderful stay. The home was so comfortable and clean with lovely views. Kitchen, bathrooms, sleeping, and living spaces were all very nice. Communication with the owner was excellent and instructions were very clear. We hope to return soon to experience another season at their lovely home!

Beautiful place

We enjoyed our stay here. The place was beautiful I got some great pictures of the Eagle and we caught lots of fish. Some big bass catfish and more! We took the kayaks out each day and only had one rain day which was still peaceful staying in. The inside was clean and very comfortable would definitely recommend

Perfect Ski House

Perfect ski house for our family of 3 couples and two young kids. Convenient to Okemo, especially Jackson Gore Base. Nice mix of rustic cabin charm with modern, well equipped kitchen. Lake views are amazing with a bald eagle and merganser ducks to watch. On a sunny, warm afternoon we enjoyed sitting outside on the spacious deck for après-ski. The property specs, pictures and reviews are accurate. We offer our recommendation and will plan to return again.

Ski weekend

We stayed over NYE weekend, 2 families skiing at Okemo. The house fit our needs perfectly. Has everything we needed and instructions from the owner were helpful and accurate.

More Than a Cabin

The cabin is a perfect mix of rustic and upgrades. The view is beautiful and there's a huge wall of windows which allows you to appreciate it inside or out. Comfortable beds and furniture. I HIGHLY recommend this place.

A beautiful spot for a much needed respite

The house was clean, lovely and well equipped. It had all the comforts we needed to stay in and cook, watch movies or have game night - but mostly we just stared out at the lake and mountains (with a nice local beer and some Plymouth cheese). Early morning tea on the deck with the gorgeous views up the lake was my favorite time of day - and we were usually joined by the resident bald eagle, perched in the tallest tree on the nearby island. There were also mallards and wood ducks around most of the time. We even managed to catch some fish right from the deck! We didn’t get a chance to use them, but there were kayaks and a canoe and a nice fire pit. We look forward to a return trip where hopefully we can get out on the water. Joelle was terrific - quick to answer any questions- but we didn’t have many as the instructions for arrival and departure were very clear. We’ve tried several other places and are so happy we have finally found a place we hope to return to.
