Georgetown condo

The condo was fine for what we needed it for. 3 bedrooms. But the floor was sandy, the blinds were off the track. The bathroom light bulbs needed to be replaced (nobody came so I took lights out of lamps and did it myself). The location was very close to the elevator and nice to not walk far. The garage spot was great. Overall a nice unit, just need to work on the cleanliness.

Beach Vacation

This is a very nice property. Great location and very comfortable. Sea Colony is some place we'd returned to again. The reason for the low score on cleanliness is the unit was not totally clean when we arrived. There was a pile of wet towels on a sofa that had to be dryed. There was a pile of sheets on the sofa as well & we had to make the beds. Some of the carpets were sandy. We were able to dry the towels ourselves and make our own beds. But for the cost of add cleanliness due to Covid, the cleaning was inadequate. I understand that employees are hard to get, however, better planning needs to take place.

Great location, desperately needs deep cleaning

First the good - the location is fantastic! It was an easy walk to the main boardwalk (~15-20min), quick 5 minutes to the pool, tennis or beach and Sea Colony does an excellent job with the resort amenities. Our kids really enjoyed the beach bonfire and DJ, and my husband and I loved the views from our balcony and the easy umbrella/chair rental right outside our building. We loved the swings on the beach - my girls were there daily! Check in & out was easy and communication with the Vacasa team was adequate (although easy to identify that their text system is just AI). Now the bad - the condo is very outdated but the pictures show that. Also, there are a ton of beachy Knick knacks throughout that just accumulate dust or something to break. We were really grossed out by the level of soap scum on the glass shower doors and walls, layers of dust accumulated in every corner or cabinet and overall grimy-ness of the bedding/couches/etc. Vacasa asked for our review of cleanliness when we arrived and I voiced these concerns with no resolve. My husband tried to make tea one morning and the teapot exploded from the bottom spraying him with hot water and ceramic pieces. Again reported but with no offer to resolve or even to ask if we were badly injured. Overall, we’d stay at sea colony again in a heartbeat but would need to see that the cleaning level has been addressed before staying here again.

Nice, but needs work

We stayed at this property for two weeks. Overall we enjoyed our stay at Sea Colony. The view of the ocean, and amount of space in the condo were wonderful. The unit was close to the elevator and easy access to the pool and beach. The appliances seemed newer, and the kitchen was well appointed (althouh no Keurig as shown on the virtual tour). There was no full size kitchen trash can, just a small office sized one, which seems silly to complain about, but running the trash out constantly was inconvenient. Not pictured in the photos are the nik naks that are covering every empty space in the unit. I'm there for vacation, and do not pay much mind to the decor of the rental, but we have small children, and it was a pain to be constantly telling them to put stuff down. The cabinets and closets were also filled with stuff, so there was no place to stow things away. It also cut down on room for our own things. The air conditioner in the unit worked, but never got the unit as cool as we would have liked. It hovered around 75 degrees. We called maintenance, and they checked and said it was working, but just not cooling very well. They gave us a fan to use for the two weeks. Each room had a ceiling fan, but the one in the room with the full size bed was shaking, and we were afraid to turn it above low. The queen in the spare room was very hard, and there was no TV in that room. The unit was nice, but could use to change a few things.

Good location, clean property

We enjoyed our stay in Bethany Beach. The property was a short walk to the beach. It was also clean and well stocked. The check in/out process was a bit confusing, but that was really the only issue.

Perfect quick Bethany getaway

We decided pretty late to book a quick getaway and found this perfect Sea Colony oceanfront condo. Entire process for booking to check-out was super smooth. With four people in our party, keyless entry made it easy to come and go. Nice being on the 3rd floor to avoid elevators, but still got the benefits of a nice view. Would definitely book again!
