Sixth time at the Sea Colony

This unit was great! We have stayed at the Sea Colony now for 6 summers. We will probably look into this unit again. The home was more up to date than what pictures provided. It was spacious and everything we needed was there including clean towels and sheets. It was our first time being on an end unit and I enjoyed it more than I thought I would. It was quiet and parking was never issue due to being there early in the season. The homeowners even left a note for things to do on a rainy day! Thank you.

Nice place but needs updating

The overall feel is that updating. Kitchen was sparely stocked and we had to go get a blender. Tile is old and feels like it never rally gets clean. Beds were nice. Cable service is painfully slow and internet is ok speed but I was waiting for it sometimes. Several little things need attention (e.g. bedroom doors rub on the carpet and are hard to open and close).

Just what we were looking for

This condo was a great fit for two adults and three teens. It was clean, and the check-in /checkout process was painless. We sent a note to the property management company about a few small things that could use attention; Simple fixes like a light that doesn’t work, and the dishwasher top rack insists on rolling out constantly. The kitchen is well stocked with utensils, cookware and dishes. The only coffee pot is a Keurig, so future guests might take note to bring pods with them. Having laundry in the unit was a must for us, and it worked well. The ocean view is wonderful, and we loved falling asleep to the sound of the waves. We made good use of the weight room in the central condo tower, and the free tram around Sea Colony is nice to have. Also, it’s quite a short walk to the beach!We would definitely rent this place again!

Bethany Beach condo

We loved the location of this condo, with great views of the ocean. Also, the king bed was confortable, which is very important to us. There are some small issues with the cleanliness of the apartment, but we will definitely consider renting it again.

Great vacation location.

We are more then pleased with our stay. Location was fantastic. The condo was fantastic. The beach was perfect. View from the balcony was perfect.. We had 6 people who fit here comfortably. Very short walk to the beach. Close to restaurants that are walking distance. Check in was simple. Ample room for our 2nd vehicle to park in overflow. We would definitely stay here again and we have already told friends about this place.

Our 4th year ! Love it !!

This is our 4th year in a row at this condo . It is so cozy and the view can’t be beat ! We stay on the beach all day and listen to the surf all night . Everything you need is in the condo and if you forgot something CVS is across the street. The owners have thought of everything you will need . This year we had the fun of watching tons of dolphins everyday . The lifeguards at Sea Colony are the best . We can’t wait for year #5 at 402 Island House.

Nice condo and visit to sea colony!

The condo was updated, well equipped, and comfortable. The location on the southern end of the Island building was less crowded and had a nicer view then condos in other buildings. The checking and checkout process went very smoothly. We would highly recommend 402 Island!

Great view if you only look outward

The location is awesome, convenient to the beach and local restaurants. My only real complaints are about the cleanliness (given the expensive cleaning fee) and the number of additional fees levied (the cost is fine I just prefer to know the price and not have to deal with additional resort fees). The cleanliness issue is frustrating becuase the previous guest complained about specific things like the think layer of dust on the fan, which then wasn’t addressed before our stay. What are we paying the cleaning for? Because we needed the fan, my wife cleaned the fan in one of the bedrooms. I’d still stay here again but would strongly urge the owner to ditch the management company and get a real cleaner to address this continuing problem. I’m hoping someone makes it right and refunds our cleaning fee.

Sea Colony - 402 Island House

Very comfortable and convenient. Generally quiet on the balcony while we were there. It was the end of the season and some items were getting a little tired. For instance, the overhead light in the living room did not work and the associated fan blades could use a good cleaning, and there was a very ratty blue blanket in the closet in the den that needs to be tossed. Those were minor issues. All-in-all, it is a nice, comfortable unit and we would stay there again.

Pleased in Island

Loved this Island rental, very comfortable. A little further walk into town, only 1 designated parking spot; unassigned parking rarely available. Issue with AC upon arrival-fixed within 24 hrs.-led to great stay. Sea Colony as always meets our needs-water aerobics, yoga on beach, Freeman fitness center-awesome.

Perfect location with amazing view

Being on the fourth floor means having an amazing view of the beach and ocean, but without being too high up. We watched the sun rise over the water multiple mornings. It's an easy elevator ride and 10 second walk to the beach. The AC struggled to cool the place down below 73 degrees. 73 actually feels cool during the day, but we prefer 70 degrees at night for sleeping. The layout is a great open concept kitchen, dining, and living room area. We loved our visit and would stay here again.

Experience was good overall. Locking mechanism on entrance door failed. Maintenance responded but did not fix door. Toaster needed to be replaced. One of the spare blankets was in very bad shape. Despite these few complaints we were very pleased with the property. Pools and amenities were in great shape. Beach was beautiful. Would definitely stay at Sea Colony again. Thanks for a wonderful vacation!

Lovely View

The check-in process went smoothly. Checked-in at the Marketplace office to get badges and parking permits at 2:00p.m. There are restaurants in the Marketplace. The badges and permits allow you to get on the property and walk around the complex (or beach). We were told the key code would work at 4:00p.m., which it did. The unit has a great location in the Island building (last building in the complex). We were there during the week and noticed there were plenty of unassigned spots if getting more than one badge. Took us a bit to find parking spot under building. Spots are not marked in any type of sequence. The unit has an oceanfront view. There were 3 chairs and a table on the balcony which was just lovely The unit is spacious, bright and airy. Did notice a couple of things. In the first bedroom with louver/folding doors, one of the panels was off the track and was up against a wall. Called and they fixed first thing the next day. Kitchen itself was very clean and well equipped. Unit has a Keurig vs. regular drip pot and nowhere did we see that mentioned. Maybe note that in description of unit. We had to buy pods at the Wawa. Not a biggie but would have been nice to know ahead of time to bring with us. The rugs definitely need an update. They were vacuumed but rather worn and stained. Bathrooms were mostly clean. Soap and small shampoo/conditioner were provided. Linens and towels for unit are provided. They all were fresh and clean looking. There is a washer/dryer, which we did not use. In bedroom with two twin beds and the master bedroom, we looked in closet for extra blankets and they looked quite worn and dirty. Did not use. The living room was comfortable with large sectional sofa. We did not need to use as pullout. All in all I think this unit had many positives and think it would be a good choice to rent. Rental of beach chairs and umbrellas were available just down walkway to beach. One last comment: be aware VRBO is charging a lot of extra charges these days it seems.

Great getaway!

We had a wonderful time during our brief stay at 402 Island House. The location can't be beat - close to everything! And even though we didn't have the best weather during our stay (cloudy, windy and a little chilly), having the view of the ocean and hearing the sound of the waves made it all worth it. The condo had everything we needed including a kitchen stocked with every cooking appliance/wear needed.
