Great Stay in Bethany

Overall great place to stay. Sea colony amenities are very nice. Having the pools to jump into after the beach is great. Beds were comfortable and the 3rd room double sized bunk beds are perfect for 2-3 guests. Nice amenities in the unit like a coffee table with a built in bench. Kitchen is somewhat lacking and having a small vacuum available for guests would be helpful.

We enjoyed our stay

This condo is nicely decorated. The sectional sofa and master bed are very comfy. We enjoyed the ocean view from the deck in the morning. The unit was clean when we arrived. There are a few nooks and crannies in the master bathroom and kitchen that need some elbow grease to clean, but it’s the end of the season so probably to be expected. There weren’t any kitchen hand towels so be sure to bring your own. We would stay again.

We love Sea Colony and all of the amenities! It is perfect for families of all ages.

The property was amazing! The beds were very comfortable, it was recently redone and the updates made it feel very new and fresh. The ice maker was broken and they did not want to fix it while we were there so that was an inconvenience, especially since it was impossible to call resort quest and get through on the phone. I had to drive over there three times to speak with them. Also, the kitchen needs more plates and bowls and the cooking pans were not good. These things did not impact our stay but would be things to consider when booking again, especially for two weeks.

Harbour House Stay

This was our second time staying in this condo at Harbour House. We like the location and amenities. We used the passes to go to the pool when we first arrived since it was raining and check-in wasn't until 4pm. The condo has a washer and dryer, dishwasher, and a large flat-screen tv. No issues with getting the wifi to work. We did notice that it wasn't as clean as the last time we stayed there. The sofa needs to be professionally cleaned. Some of the duvets were also not clean. The bunk bed was missing sheets so we had to scramble to find some and put them on that first night for my kiddo to sleep. That wasn't ideal. Otherwise, we had a great stay and would visit again. I do recommend you bring your own beach towels and laundry detergent. I will make sure to remember to pack those next time. We were able to walk across the street to CVS and buy what we needed, and that was very convenient.

Don't use Vacasa

We found Vacasa's service to be very poor. We called in at 3:52pm to see if the unit was ready. The Vacasa rep, "Lee" rudely stated that we are not entitled to get into the unit until 4pm. Then, the conversations was abruptly over. The cleaning was not completed until after 4:30 and we did not receive a message that it was ready until after 6:30 pm. However, the cleaning was minimal. We found popcorn on the floor, greasy trays under the oven; black mold on the bottom of the shower doors and sand on areas of the floors. We don't blame the cleaning service as they are asked to clean 20 units/day. Therefore, it would be difficult to spend more than 20 minutes cleaning a unit. Then, in the guest book, a person had written in 2020 that the pots and pans had most of the Teflon off of them, making it unsafe for cooking purposes. Unfortunately, no one must have read the comment, because the pans were still in the same condition, not replaced. The kitchen wasn't very well stocked with supplies; we made a salad and could only find a small bowl to make it in. All that being said, the decor of the unit was nice. And the view is wonderful.

Nice view

Nice view very comfortable. Disappointed about the pots and pans as we were prepared with groceries to cook several meals at home. Odds are peeling the Teflon and somewhat rusted so we did not do any cooking at all we ordered parts from Amazon and they never arrived. Great view from the living room of the beach. We were pleased being on the second floor as we had teenagers that like to get on the beach early! I had an enjoyable week except for not being able to cook one meal! David and Nancy Petersen

Nice condo but could be cleaner

This was a comfortable condo in a community that is very well maintained and also very family friendly. The double bunk beds were great for the grandkids. The cleaning company didn’t do a very good job, however, pre-arrival. There were hair clumps on the floor near the MBR bed and it looked like the door/windows to the patio were only washed with a dirty rag, and then only the lower half. We would have vacuumed but there was no vacuum to use.

Beautiful place!

We really enjoyed our stay. Can’t wait to go back when it is summer so we can really enjoy the beach experience. It was clean and inviting and perfect for our family. My only suggestion is that I would appreciate an upgrade in the cookware department - there was only one pot and one pan and both had a lot of wear.

It’s cute, it was just okay.

The decor is cute! The balcony furniture is awful. By the end of season it was filthy and rusted. There is also no vacuum in the unit so the balcony doesn’t get cleaned. It was full of sand, food crumbs and gnats. It also had green algae/slime in places. Needs power washed and we had to bug bomb it to make it somewhat usable. Even then you couldn’t go out without shoes on. There are fruit flies everywhere. We had to buy pots and pans and deep clean what was there in order to cook in the kitchen. Rusted pots, no bowls, lipstick on the rim of most glasses. The cabinet doors were falling off, you had to figure out the trick to closing each one fully. The cleaning crew didn’t check must past eye level either.. any time my toddler dropped something I dreaded looking under a table, couch or bed. There were empty water bottles, dust bunnies, lost toys, used face masks, etc. Not all the beds were made, we had to email multiple times to get the correct size sheets and make them ourselves. I’m sure some of the issues were end of season related. It worked, but I wouldn’t seek the unit out again.
