Our host was very welcoming, and available if we had any questions or concerns. Thankfully we had neither. Access was simple, check-in/check-out instructions were clear, and a handbook on the amenities was available.The property is very spacious with a great view. You can tell the host takes pride in their property both inside and out. Our favorite part was spending time outside on the deck to take in views of the lake. As an added bonus, the property is tucked away from nearby neighbors. Making it a great “staycation” destination.

Overall nice property, check-in instructions were somewhat difficult to follow. Some lights on the property did not work and all dishes in the kitchen were unwashed and had the previous tenants food caked on them. Showers had wads of the previous tenants hair stuck to the walls. Wine fridge was not working either.

Wonderful property - sadly our timing was not the best. Everything was very comfortable, location was ideal and the views spectacular. We hope to return under better circumstances. I would recommend this property- the only reason I only gave 4 stars was because we didn’t fully get to explore all the outdoor spaces as it was flooding and non stop raining while we were there.

Christmas in Austin 2025

Due to changing circumstances, we had to make last minute reservations to spend Christmas in Austin to be with family.Thankfully, this rental accepted us despite making reservations the day before arrival.We enjoyed our stay on top of the mountain. Amazing views of the lake down below. Yes, the road up is steep, but doable. I would stay here again.

Peaceful stay with family in a beautiful lakehouse

Absolutely beautiful property!

I stayed here for a surprise getaway weekend for my wife's birthday. the home is as beautiful if not more beautiful than what is actually shown online. Views are absolutely breathtaking and definitely worth a stay. It was very relaxing and communication was amazing with the owner of the house was wonderful. Couldn't have asked for a better stay. Thank you and we will be back again!

The tvs inside didn’t work so we had to use all the covers inside to stay warm and be able to watch movies on Halloween. It was freezing out. Before checkout the owner sat outside the place waiting for us to leave and texting us when it wasn’t checkout time yet. We slid the outside screen door open and it completely came off the hinge. Most of our time was spent outside in the cold since that’s where the entertainment was at. The deer there were beautiful though and nice view.

This renter trashed our house. Spilt red wine on various large spots staining our carpet upstairs, stained towels, cigarette burns in outside rug, ripped our outdoor screen off. We had to file a claim due to the amount of damages. There are 3 tvs in the house, the only one not on cable at the time was the living room tv, all others worked. tv has since been fixed. The person waiting outside on the road was the cleaning lady because it was time for them to check out. I would not rent to this person again!

Magical Stay!

We had such a lovely time at this property. The owner was very responsive when I needed to get in touch. The place was spotless. The location wonderful. Went down to the boat dock for a swim. Relaxed on the patio. Kids used the hot tubs. Grown-ups made smores. Just idyllic! Next time we'll stay for much longer. We are definitely going back!

Beautiful property!

Everything was as advertised. Perfect way to celebrate my daughter's birthday. Amazing back porch and upper patio views of Lake Travis and the surrounding area. Deer came to visit us a few times each day. Fire pit was great at night, and hot tub with all the lights was the icing on the cake. Only complaint was the lack of a real freezer (kitchen only has an ice maker).

Great out of the way, private home!

This home is very much like a tree house! Very nice views! It was only my husband and I so we only speak to the master bedroom bed- queen size and comfortable! We really enjoyed the deck off the master for its views and the outdoor TV. There is another bedroom with queen and its own bath and closet with very good washer and dryer. The downstairs has a bed room with 2 bunk beds and a full bath. Nice sized kitchen and comfy living room. We used the hot tub only once- mostly because it rained most of our stay. The hot tub was nice, though we couldn’t figure out how to get the temperature up above 98. I think the only- minor- downside was the location. It’s about 45-50 minutes to downtown Austin and about 25-30 minutes to the HEB grocery store. Also be careful on the roads closest to the house- very narrow. However, if you like the privacy and good views, which we did, it’s worth the drive!

We rented this property with some family friends for a long spring break weekend. Overall, we enjoyed ourselves very much. There were some things that could use a good scrubbing like the oven, bathrooms behind the doors, switch to the fireplace, and the hot tub was full of tree droppings but we didn’t let that get in the way of us getting in. All the white towels had brownish stains on them so my husband used a dog towel for his showers. Couldn’t find a broom otherwise we would have swept some. No oven mitts and no kettle in the kitchen which was a bummer since I enjoy making tea. Also, lake access code didn’t work. But my biggest complaint was the master bathroom windows which DID have a gorgeous view of the lake but everyone outside also had a wonderful view of my naked body! Really really really should consider putting a mirror tint on the windows for some privacy. There were no blinds and no where for me to even try to hang a cover unless I bought duct tape. Communication with the owner was mixed. I messaged prior to the trip but never received a response. During our stay, we came back to the house to find a large downed tree limb across the driveway. I took pictures and messaged the owner but didn’t hear back for a solid 24 hours. Thankfully my husband and I were able to get it moved just off the drive, otherwise we would have had to call the fire department to help. Again, overall stay was enjoyable, but there are some things lacking that could be improved.

Great spot for a low key ladies retreat

Charming place in the hills with a great view of the lake. The quiet neighborhood was just what we needed for our ladies retreat to unwind and relax. Our book worm of the group mentioned the literature available is a great selection of reads giving a 5 star rating. There were plenty deer sightings on the property and the hot tub was a nice amenity to use after a day at the lake or hiking.

Perfect amount of space for 5 adult women. We prepared some meals at the house and they had all the standard supplies we needed. Grill was great, too! We made friends with some deer and enjoyed evenings on the deck. Super comfortable and easy. Would book again!

Peaceful and pretty, great location

We very much enjoyed our stay. The proximity to Pace Bend park (~15 min) was a plus for mountain biking and cliff jumping. The property was quiet and frequented with deer and pleasant bird song. Clean and comfy on the inside, but I could have easily enjoyed another day alone sitting in the hammock on the back porch. Fire pit was a great way to wind down the evening. Would not mind a return visit here!

Great place for a great time!

Had some friends get together to catch up and enjoy a little get away and this place is perfect. Plenty of things to do and it was nice to have a place like this to escape. The kitchen was great and there was plenty of room for everyone to hangout and sleep!
