Welcome to Hillside Hideaway! Newly renovated 3 bedroom 2 bath (with Bonus Room) located in the award winning, private gated, four season community, The Hideout in Lake Ariel in the Pocono mountains.

This home is a unique combination of modern amenities with rustic charm. It is the perfect getaway for families and friends to enjoy any time of the year. Escape the hustle and bustle of your everyday life without giving up the luxurious comforts of your home!

Upon arrival in our home you will begin to experience many of our upgraded amenities. Paved Driveway with Solar LED Lights, Contact- less LockBox entry. High-Speed WiFi. Chefs Grill. 2 gated decks - one in the front and one in the rear with outdoor furniture and solar deck lights. Screened Four-Season Porch room. Newly renovated gleaming hardwood floors throughout the space that amplify the intricate details and love put into this amazing space.

Living Room: The open-concept living area features high ceilings that invite you to take a seat and unwind in front of a propane fireplace. Brand New 50" Roku 5K SMART TV with 150+ included Live Streaming Channels ( Guest Enabled for use w/ your Netflix, Prime). Listen to music connecting to Bose Sound Dock and watch DVD's on Blue-Ray DVD .

The living area also features a cozy nook, where you can read or lounge anytime, day or night.

Bedrooms(3) each with its unique accent walls and designed aesthetically with new Queen furnishings, memory foam mattresses and comfortable pillows. 3rd bedroom has Bunk bed (Twin on top + Full on Bottom) sleeps 3.

Bonus Room (Lower Level) - 2 Twin Beds for additional Sleeping, Workstation/Monitor with chair , Second Flat Screen TV with Roku, Ping Pong table.

Loft Area - Enjoy the many board games , DVD’s or just lounge and read the many children and adult books, play with children's toys. Third flat screen TV with Apple TV enables kids to watch YouTube/Prime. Queen futon sleeps additional 2 adults and a 3-seater sofa

Chefs kitchen - Fully equipped with Oven/Dishwasher/Microwave, Stainless Steel pots and pans, nonstick cookware, Instant Pot, Keurig and Nespresso coffee maker (we provide few starter pods) , Filter, kettle, blender, toaster, spices, oil- just about anything you need to whip up a full sized meal. Counter bar with seating for four.

Four season screened Porch - Home-crafted wooden dining table for 8 and recliners. Enjoy the breathtaking views while having your morning coffee or a hearty family meal.

Great Pet Friendly Rental

Our family had a wonderful time at the Hillside Hideaway vacation home. Julie is a terrific host and the house is so pet friendly. We loved the two decks that had gates on them. The gated decks allowed our doggos to hang out with us outside of the house. The air conditioning was an added bonus because most of the Pocono rentals we have stayed at in the past didn’t have any air at all. We were nice and cool the whole time. The Hideout community has great amenities and the rental is also close to Lake Wallenpaupack where you can rent a boat or a jet ski.

Disaster

The property outside was overgrown and just one big mess. The inside of the house was a huge mess food left in the refrigerator, the freezer the cupboards, most of it expired by almost 2 years crumbs of food in the dining area on the table, high chair had dried food on the tray on the seat. The foot rest couldn’t tell if any of the towels were clean they were just thrown in the cabinets had to wash all the towels and bed linens before we use them just from the way everything was left really couldn’t tell if it was clean or somebody just put them in there. It was a three bedroom house with a living area a big dining area and there was three portable air conditioners in the house to say the least. It was hot ceiling fan in the living room, didn’t work, no pull chain on it to try and see if it worked. The only way I can describe the house being is it look like there was a really bad emergency and they just left the house as is I have stayed many places with Vrbo in the past, and this one was absolutely the worst , if we weren’t there for 10 days or so being on a holiday week I just would’ve canceled. It took the loss of my money and went and stayed someplace else that was cleaner but unfortunately with it being a holiday a lot of the places were booked feel free to contact me .

cozy, inviting, and dog friendly

we had a wonderful stay at the hideout. Julie was as helpful as could be. we had a few questions and she replied immediately and set us on our way. we were so excited we were able to bring our 2 dogs. her home was cozy and inviting. we have stayed at the hideout once before and after our stay again, we will be looking to go back. thank you Julie and vrbo for having a place that our family and dogs were able enjoy.

A Great House in an Awesome Community

Everything about working with Julie was a pleasure. She is a gem and willing to work with you on EVERYTHING. The home was clean and comfortable, with plenty of AC and fans to keep it cool even on really warm days. The rooms have excellent beds and mattresses were dressed with high-quality linens. (TBH, the futon in the loft was more comfortable than some hotel beds I’ve stayed in.) Bathrooms were generous in size, bright, and well-appointed. The four seasons dining room and multiple decks and porches provided my family with loads of spaces for chit-chat, game play, private reading, and so on. We also loved using the fire pit on cool nights. Weather is obviously never a guarantee, but there’s always something to do at or near The Hideout. We had three really warm days perfect for the beach and pools, three cooler days perfect for hiking, boating, mini-golf and visiting nearby Paws & Claws, and one day that we stayed in, played a ton of games, and enjoyed the majesty of the woods in a storm. I am already planning my return to this property. LOVE IT!!!!

Beautiful Hideaway

We had a wonderful stay at Julie's property in The HIdeout for a long weekend get away. Her home is beautifully decorated with designer touches and a well appointed kitchen. The memory foam bed in the main floor master was incredibly comfortable. We loved sitting on both the front and back decks to enjoy the solitude of nature. We had so much fun enjoying the amenities; especially the main pool and beach (with tiki bar!) that were a short walk from the house. Julie welcomed our rather large dogs which we really appreciated. One touch that was especially appreciated was the snack basket and lovely bottle of red wine that were waiting for us upon arrival. Julie was available to us throughout the weekend but we really didn't need to contact her because the information that she provided pre-arrival and the packet that was left for us at the house told us all we needed to know. I highly recommend staying at this home.
