Entirely renovated this year back to the original walls, this 6 bedroom contemporary home on Lake Placid is walking distance to everything on Main Street. New roof, siding, propane in floor radiant heating system, kitchen, 6 new bedrooms and 4 full bathrooms all have excellent views up the lake to Whiteface Mountain. Newly furnished, don't miss the opportunity to enjoy the enormous deck off the main level to sun and view the mountains and lake. The open floor plan and windows fill the rooms with sun and light with a modern chefs kitchen, all Bosch appliances , two dishwashers, which is ideal to entertain. No expense has been spared in this in-town location with all the benefits of lake living and easy access to the restaurants and shops. All spray foam insulated & new windows throughout 2 sets of washers & dryers.

Beautiful property, not well air conditioned as expected which made first few days tough in unseasonable heat. Check in check out easy. For safety of future guest would suggest safer/sturdier porch/steps railing.

I had messaged our host about multiple things wrong, something’s were very dangerous. The house was falling apart, cabinets falling apart or not able to be closed. Knobs falling off the stove where the flame couldn’t be regulated, multiple chairs cracked (one broke while I was sitting on it w my baby- I am not a big woman) - the exhaust fan shakes the cabinets so badly & the shelving isn’t level - we had 4 glasses come crashing down (my 72 year old mother got hit with glass) thank god none of the babies were under that area. The dishwasher had things all hanging out from under it. They didn’t plow or shovel and we got multiple inches of snow. I was told maintenance was coming from the very first day on, and no one ever came….

Spacious and prefect for a larger group. Location is great for relaxing at the house or walking into town. Would highly recommend!

This place had an awesome view! Tons of space for family and friends, and the host was very responsive. Great kitchen to cook in, with lots of seating.

Beautiful home in a great location

The house was perfect and exactly as expected. Clean, completely updated and lovely. The location is ideal with it being so close to town but also right on the lake so it’s extremely quiet. I would love to stay here again with friends or family during any season!

Great location to everything to do in Lake Placid

Booked this location for a family (12 adults and a 6 month old) for a weekend vacation. Comfortably fit everyone, had enough bathrooms they no one was waiting, and great amenities. My family enjoyed cooking dinners in the large kitchen and dining room, loved taking the kayaks out on the lake, and taking a quick drive to Mirror Lake to walk around. Would recommend this place.

We enjoyed our experience! The house was clean and the transitions were straight forward and easy. We will definitely go back for a week in the summer... it is right on the lake with many summer amenities.

Magical Christmas Holiday

Exceptional home. Online pictures do not do the home justice or the view. The beds are very comfortable, sheets and towels were great(a big thing that most VRBO owners over look) The owner even had some holiday decor up, which was a lovely touch.

Great house!

This house was a great find! The main level is extremely spacious and well suited to a large group. The house was very clean and convenient to everything in town. We stayed in the winter so we did not have the opportunity to use the waterfront. It was about 15 minutes to ski mountain. Overall it’s a great property, very comfortable and beautiful.

Perfect Winter Escape

The house is a perfect base to explore Lake Placid in the winter. Walk to downtown and ice skating, dinning, coffee and shops. 20 minute drive to white face. Lots of space to hang around the fire and play board games. Our two families loved are short get away and would love to come back in the Warner weather! Only negative - house is very loud- sound travels in every room.

Good place for family- needs a bit of upkeep

Beautiful location- hot tub, lake and nice space indoors with lots of windows. Kitchen with 2(!) dishwashers is great for large groups. Sadly, the nearly-new cabinets are falling apart (doors falling off). It took some time to get help when we had no hot water- tho once we got ahold of them they were quick and fixed the issue. Overall a great place for teens and family!

Lake placid family vacation

Overall nice property. Plenty of space and nice big kitchen and dining area. Enjoyed the large deck and close proximity to town. Messaged the host with a question I had two days before the trip and he never responded. Also, would love to see a screen on slider to the deck could keep door open due to bugs coming in. All bedrooms had fans but only one had air conditioning would be more comfortable on a hot summer night to have air conditioning.

Vrbo’s software needs an overhaul The house was as advertised and worked out well for us. Instructions are needed for appliances and entertainment center. A code is needed for the hot tub speakers. A vegetable peeler would be nice to have. The entry keypad did not work easily. Overall we had a nice stay.

Beautiful and beyond expectations

Every detail was carefully thought of in this magnificent home. Large families will fit comfortably here! The property was perfectly situated on Lake Placid Bay and had a magnificent view of Whiteface mountain from bedrooms, downstairs and the backyard. Kevin was excellent and available for any questions! There is so much natural light in the home! Very close to downtown Lake Placid and a short walk to some local restaurants and trails nearby! The heated 3 car garage was also a huge bonus in winter months! It really is the perfect location and allows guests to Spread out or spend time together! Beds were extremely comfortable, bathrooms were all beautifully designed! Water heated very quickly to hot and had great pressure! We would definitely return here in a heartbeat!! 5 stars all around!

Overall

The property itself was beautiful and the view of the lake and mountains was gorgeous. One of the washing machines did not work. There was standing water in it and it would not drain. There was no remote for one of the upstairs tv’s and another was missing batteries. From a child safety standpoint the outside deck rails were a little wobbly and small children can easily fall under the rail. The stairs to the basement have an open area where small children could easily fall. The slider facing the road has no blinds and the people living in the apartments across the road can sit and look straight into the house. Blinds would be nice. The owner did not respond to questions prior to our arrival which would have been helpful to us but was very responsive when we were there when contacted on various things. Overall this home was quite beautiful.
