Lakefront Bungalow, NEW BOAT DOCK, Hot Tub, Firepit

Bass Bungalow: Stay just steps from the water. Secluded by pine trees and embankment, sitting on the shoreline of Watauga Lake with private fire pit- ideal for those who plan on making their vacation all about the mountains and water.

This is a 500 sq. ft. one bedroom, factory made cottage with log siding. It has the ability to sleep up to four utilizing a futon sleeper sofa. Our Bungalow is heated and air-conditioned with a Hot Tub, spacious deck and Gas Grill. Outdoor Hot Tub is secluded in a beautiful gazebo overlooking the peaceful lake.

Sleeping arrangements include Queen Bed in the master bedroom, sleeper sofa in the living room. Perfect for couples looking for a romantic get-a-way but can also accommodate a small family or couple of lastminute guests you may invite. Large outdoor gas grill with plenty of grilling utensils makes cooking-out the ideal choice. Indoor kitchen has stove, refrigerator, pots and pans. Linens and towels are provided, as well as. In the bathroom you’ll even find a hair dryer. Satellite TV/DVD. Washer and Dryer are located within the Bungalow.

***New boat dock has been installed****

Pet Friendly: one small well-behaved, housebroken dog without fleas or ticks are welcome; clean up after your pet outside; dog must be leashed when outside and crated if left unattended in the cabin - reach out if you are desiring to add an additional small dog. There is a non-refundable pet fee for one dog. No other pets are permitted.

We are about 30-40 mins from Beech Mountain Ski Slope. Come enjoy the slopes or travel into Boone, NC for a fun getaway.

Absolutely terrible! Extremely disappointing, the road to the property was atrocious, there was only 2 ramps available for launching my boat, which by the way is a 19 foot ranger. Barely able to get it in and out of the cabin driveway. The boat launches were a 40 minute plus drive, over bad curves and potholes in blacktop. I will never make the trip again.

Lakeside getaway

We loved the Bass Bungalow! This place is a gem. Clean, cozy and the views are awesome! Such a peaceful, quiet neighborhood. We enjoyed sitting on the porch soaking in the beautiful mountains and Lake Watauga. Our dog enjoyed swimming and had easy access to enter the lake. It was a perfect getaway for us.

Peaceful retreat

Some of our favorite moments were sitting by the fire pit as the evening settled in and watching the geese and fish from the deck in the early morning. Quiet, simple, and just what we needed.

No kayaks as listed and other issues

We would have brought our kayaks but listing said they’re available in dock-nope, just an old canoe. We shared our kitchen with a mouse (somewhere). There were killed bugs on ceilings and walls. Pillows were next to nothing stuffing wise, sheets from Dollar Tree. Upside-beautiful views, safe cabin, everyone in all cabins were lovely and friendly. The cabin is ok if you don’t mind no frills. We will definitely go back to the area but will stay in a different VRBO.

Was not what we expected. Left one day early due to tub and shower being old and shower head real loose. Appliances need updated. Location is great, but wasn’t what I expected for a VRBO rental property.

Great getaway

The lake was beautiful. The location of the cabin was perfect. The dock was just a short hop from the cabin. The dock could use some up keep ie.. broken boards screws coming out. One small thing is the welcome book could use an update… there is not a dish washer in the cabin. The local store is not there anymore it is now the mercantile. All and all it was the perfect getaway

Lake view ❤️

My husband and I rented the place since we have family in the area and love this lake. This is our first stay at the cabin and this side of the lake. It was nothing short of gorgeous. The view it self is amazing and the cabin has everything we needed. We also loved that it had the dock and canoe as well. We will definitely be back!

Anniversary getaway

Could not be more pleased with our stay. I cannot express how beautiful the view was. Coffee and all of our meals were enjoyed right on the large porch. And our nights ended at the firepit. Cabin was fully stocked with everything you could need and the owner was very quick to respond to any questions we had. Highly recommended...especially at this time of the year when leaves were just turning. The perfect getaway for our Anniversary.
