Ocean Walk is a picturesque condominium community within biking distance of the Village Pier, numerous shops and restaurants, as well as the beach.

Century old oaks shade the various buildings, while palm trees and colorful foliage landscape the two large swimming pools. Other community amenities include a sizeable duck pond with fountain, a fitness center, tennis courts, and a playground. You're going to love this renovated, second level condo at Ocean Walk. Extensive work and upgrades in this unit have opened up the standard floor plan to make the master suite more spacious. Located close to the pool and the lake, this would make the perfect short or extended stay vacation.

Great spot!

We loved the condo and the complex. It was within walking distance to the pier and offered a lot of amenities.

Much better in person than in pictures!

We loved this property! It's much better in person than in the pictures.. Cleanliness is always my main concern and this property was spotless. We didn't cook while there, but the kitchen did have all the utensils and cookware if we had. There are 2 coffee makers, your standard coffee maker and a Keurig. This is within walking distance to local shops and restaurants. We would stay here again!

Wonderful location with great potential

Wonderful location on St. Simons. Centrally located, 2 pools, fishing pond, guest club with games, etc. We stay at Ocean Walk each time we visit the island and love the community! Unfortunately, this is our least favorite condo we’ve stayed at so far. There was no coffee machine available. We found 2 coffee machines in cabinets that had clearly not been used in a VERY long time. We had to deep clean each before using the first morning. There were only 2 plates available, one of which was plastic. We had to purchase 4 dinner plates in order to eat at the condo. There were not enough extra towels on hand. The kitchen counters were filthy, and the entire condo needed a deep clean. We honestly believe the property was not lived in and cared for in quite some time. There were no basic spices or cooking essentials on hand, as you find with most condos available for long-term stays. The condo was nicely decorated but needs an overall deep clean and sprucing up. Certainly great potential for this condo but not up to par with the condos we are used to staying at in Ocean Walk.

Basic But Good

We love Ocean Walk. This condo was overall clean, but a bit underwhelming. First, it didn’t smell fresh when we checked in. (Slight cigarette smoke odor.) Second, the kitchen was equipped very basically for us, but we do a lot of cooking. We made do. Also, the refrigerator was left on too cold a setting and we didn’t realize it until most of our food froze, so we lost lots of fresh produce. Our fault, but still disappointing. Blackout curtains should be in the bedrooms. These are sheer and don’t block lights from cars at night or the sunrise. Also, the curtains were hung backwards in one bedroom—a detail I can’t help pointing out coming from the hotel business. :) Last, but most importantly, we left a souvenir bracelet in the bedroom and called before we were even off the island with very specific instructions on its location—hoping it could be mailed to us. Despite a quick return call promising to mail it if found, we never received follow up, even after leaving another message. I know sometimes guests are wrong when they think they’ve left something behind, but we knew its precise location in the bedroom. Communication between Hodnett Cooper and the cleaning service and back to us was completely lacking. We liked that there were plenty of towels and enjoyed playing St. Simonopoly! Overall, we would return and be better prepared with kitchen supplies.
