Despite the fact that the renters claim to have cleaned for hours before leaving, the stove and the hood were covered in cooking grease (hood filter was dripping of grease). I also found tater tots on the floor. And I am not picky (I have been a landlord for years). Every kitchen cabinet door/drawer had drip marks of food and grease. I don't get my own kitchen THAT dirty in a year and they were there for only 45 days. The stove top had burned grease that could not even be removed by the cleaning person. I also had to throw away 2 pans that had burned grease that could not be cleaned. My fault was not to charge enough for cleaning in the first place (it is my second time renting my place and the first set of renters left the place in normal standard level of use - normal "dirt"). These renters also made a dent in our stainless steel fridge door that I have to look at every day because it could not be fixed. They also broke a clothes dry rack. That is not what I consider "at or above standard" of most VRBO homes. So, I would not rent to these renters again.
