Beautiful sun rises and sunsets over the river and city. This flat is a nice place for a couple to come and stay for a weekend. We enjoyed being close to the beaches and restaurants (waking distance for everything). Just to note…there are no early check ins, not even one minute early. You have pay extra for early check in. There is no parking lot, only 15 minute unloading parking and then you have to park on the street or their extra parking lot down the road. It is also very very loud from the cars going by and the night life. We just so happened to be there the night of a concert which was fine until 11am but the bar across the river has loud music until 2am so you’re up with the music. Maybe it isn’t like that every weekend. Great place for the night life people! We had a baby so it was a bit more challenging.

Was absolutely a great experience. The residence was an excellent QUIET corner unt. Centrally located with river view, watching boats go by, and draw bridge. Great walks along the piers with easy walk to both beachesResidence with excellent appointments. Best VRBO get away to date I would return to this town and stay in the same unit!

Great location

This was our first trip visiting South Haven. This condo was in such a great location, walking distance to everything! The building is in the process of having some much upgrades done to the outside- the inside space of the condo was fully updated. The views are nice from the windows however, if you want to sit on the deck, you have to go back to the main floor and outside.. ( in other words, you can’t get directly to the outside from your room unfortunately. The condo was adequately stacked, but we found it slightly annoying to not have staples like salt and pepper, back up roll of toilet paper, backup rolls of paper towels, not enough shampoo- etc.The shower function took a minute, unfortunately we found the instructions. It wasn’t intuitive though.- may I suggest have the instructions titled to turn the shower on in the bathroom? Having the instructions in the bathroom, avoid the uncomfortable towel wrapped body making a public appearance. :)

the description says it is equipped with a washer and dryer. it does not have one.

Over all it was not bad. The unit has some nice upgrades. The futon that serves as a couch needs to be thrown into a dumpster. Very thin, hard and sagged a couple of inches in the middle. maybe a hide -a-bed would have been better. Also was not very clean .The whole condo was not very clean. the toilet was not flushed ,lots of hair etc .around the floor etc.

Harbor View at the Colonial

My husband and I had a wonderful stay at the Harbor View at the Colonial and visit to South Haven! Our condo was charming, clean, and had what we needed. It was in a good location and had a lovely view of the water. We would stay in this location again as well as recommend it to our friends.

Beautiful location

The room is very nice and decorated so cute. It has all the necessary amenities including a full kitchen. The only complaint, the glass sliding doors to the closet do not work well at all. Other than that, you can’t beat the location or the beautiful views down the river.

Adorable place but NOISY location

The place is compact but has everything you need. Really nicely decorated. Has a great view of the river and centrally located so you walk to everything. But the condo building is old and the windows might as well just be screens as you hear all the noise of the bridge, the boats and the people. The second to last night there was an event outside near Capn Lou’s and it was loud, thumping music until 2am! We called the non emergency line and was told they were within legal noise range but we could feel the base in our unit! Also we never had a working TV. We communicated with the manager about it- she was sweet but in the 3 days we were there, they never got the TV to work. My husband was not happy as it was the start of college football. I want to like this place but for the noise and lack of TV, we won’t be back.

Love South Haven

Our stay at the Colonial Condo couldn’t have been better (well, the weather could have been) . Perfect location with a great view of the river. We walked everybody place we wanted to see. I would recommend this unit any couple, and we would stay again.

Great Place - Gorgeous view

We absolutely loved our stay! The unit was great and bed was so comfortable. The best part was the amazing view. We loved watching the boats go through the draw bridge from our window. Would love to return!

Great Getaway

Had a wonderful time. Location was great, the deck was great to get to listen to music from the neighboring bar, the space itself was just as advertised, the property manager was extremely helpful for the couple issues we had with small things. Definitely would recommend others to stay here!

Short little getaway

We wanted something that was walking distance to downtown and the lake. This property gave both. We were able to walk to different parts of the lake from this property and easy walking to the main downtown/ Martine Museum. There is a full kitchen with most supplies. The layout of the place was nice as well. The bridge that goes over the Black River is right outside and it didn’t affect our sleeping. I even brought ear plugs just incase and never used them. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay. We want to come back during the summer.

Charming Condo; Noise Level was Horrible

We loved the condo! The interior was beautifully decorated. The bed was very comfy. The location was great as we did not have to drive anywhere. There were several negatives, however. We arrived late at night. There was no clear, visible signage directing us to the main entrance. When we accessed the condo there was supposed to be parking passes in the room. The parking passes were not there. Luckily, there was ample street parking. Lastly, the windows in the unit are horrible! We actually thought the windows were open because the noise from the street, the draw bridge whistles, from people talking below, was so loud and clear. We slept horribly Friday night. A fan in the unit might have helped to drown out the noise.

Perfect condo for weekend getaway

Great location between downtown, the north side beaches, park, and the harbor. Nice condo with big windows and updated finishes. The patio with a view of the harbor is spectacular. Perfect for morning coffe or drinks in the evening. We definitely are going to try to book this property again.
