You'll thank your lucky stars that you found this beautiful home in Corolla Light. With a stellar location close to the Corolla Light Indoor sports center, you'll enjoy an active vacation with access to an indoor pool, tennis, racquetball, weight room, and exercise room. Or, catch the community jitney to access the oceanfront pools, pristine beach, or one of the plethora of activities offered by the Corolla Light activities director. But, you can always laze the day away in your optionally-heated private pool and hot tub right at your door. The beautiful kitchen is a cook's dream, and there are lots of comfy spaces to curl up with a good book or just relax in this beautifully appointed home. The kids will love the game room with its pool table, and the whole family can catch a flick in the theater room. There's even a private office if anyone needs to check their emails and get some work done on vacation.

This lovely home offers the best in seaside living for the discriminating vacationer.

You'll be within one mile of beach access. The HOA offers trolley service from Memorial Day to Labor Day.

Things to Know
Fireplaces are available from November 1st through April 1st.
The private pool is open from May 1st through October 15th. Pool Heat is available upon request at $85 per day. You can contact guest services and add the pool heat to your reservation. Please provide at least 72 hours advance notice. Pool heat is not available in July and August.
You will be required to sign an additional lease agreement upon making a booking which will be sent to your email. You will not be able to check in until we have received your signature electronically. Please contact us directly if you do not receive this agreement.
This property is managed by Vacasa North Carolina LLC.

Parking notes: There is free parking available for 4 vehicles.

Security camera details: Active surveillance cameras are located outside of the home and will be turned off during your stay.

Great Spring Break!

You won't go wrong staying here. Property manager was helpful and very responsive. The house had plenty of space for us to spread out. Great amenities. We'd definitely stay again.

Large, beautiful well maintained home on the water with large porches/decks from which I watched some of the most beautiful sunsets I have ever seen! I highly recommend this home for your OBX vacation!

The house itself was fantastic- we loved that every room had its own bathroom, as well as the perk of having a pool table and private pool. We only wished the patio/patio furniture had been cleaned up prior to our arrival. For the price we paid, we felt it should’ve been cleaner. Other than that, we would stay here again.

Cockroaches, spiders, and buffering

The house itself isn't all that bad. It's the upkeep and the management company that are the problem. Yes, we lost count of the cockroaches, and the house is covered in spiderwebs, but that could be fixed with an extermination contract. The house is dated, but not inadequate. When we checked in on a Friday, the house was dirty, the elevator was out of order, there was no electricity in one of the bedrooms, and there were no sheets on the bunk beds (and none provided so that we could make them). I reached out to Vacasa within an hour of checking in to make them aware. After several follow up calls, they sent someone out... on Thursday afternoon! This is the third rental company weve used in OBX, and, in my opinion, Vacasa is a disntant third place. The internet wasn't fast enough to stream videos. We gave up on trying to use the house internet to watch a movie and just tethered off of our phones. We were given no notification that the elevator wasn't working. It so happened that we ended up traveling without anyone that required its use. I feel like this is important information to share with people in advance. Overall, the house is okay. It's needs a thorough cleaning, including the mountains of filth under the furniture, an exterminator that comes out regularly, and a better management company.

Perfect Place

We loved our stay at Calypso! The decks had the best sunset views. Great fishing and wildlife on the Sound! Lots of games, books, and movies at the house. Well-stocked kitchen. It was the perfect place for our time in the Outer Banks!

September stay

We absolutely had the best time during the week we stayed. The home inside was great. Has everything you need with lots of room. Love that everyone had their own bathroom. The view is amazing!! All really enjoyed the pool and hot tub. Only complaint is the outside decks and front porch could use a good power washing and bug treatment . The decks and furniture were covered in spiderwebs with lots of spiders and bugs.

The elevator was out of order.

We had two handicapped family members who had a very hard time. One had to stay in the basement the whole time and one on the 3rd floor. It ruined it for all of us. We also had plumbing issues: 2 toilets backed up. And 3 sinks running slowly. Last year (2021) was wonderful and that is why we rented it this year.(2022)

Tons of space

This property is huge! Every bedroom has its own bathroom! We enjoyed the pool table and hot tub! Please note the elevator does not work and there are tons of stairs. We were VERY disappointed in the cleanliness of this property. The outside decks-3 of them-were nasty! So much dust, spider webs, spiders, we had to clean it before we could sit out there comfortably. I don’t think an exterminator has been there in years! we also noticed ants/bugs in the house too. A few things inside needed to be addressed too with cleanliness when we arrived and Vacasa took care of them. Communication was easy with them, check in was easy but we wouldn’t stay here again!

Wonderful Home

The house had every amenity we could ask for (and everyone had their own bathroom!). Lots of space to spread out and easily accommodate multiple generations. Loved the nature trail that runs along the sound.

The property description does not do it justice

The pictures of this home were lacking some of the great views. This home sits right on an inlet with a great view of the sound. Each night we had beautiful sunset views on the water. There were ospreys in a nest right outside the dining room window. We watched them fixing their nest and fishing. Contract said no pets but when we arrived there was signage saying that pets were welcome. A few minor items were that they did not have kitchen towels, hot pads, or trash bags and it needed a spring cleaning like windows, lights and hot tub. The elevator was a huge plus! Overall we loved staying here.

Disappointed

This home is a perfect location and the view of the sound was spectacular. It is so sad that the home is not being maintained and the cleaning staff did such a poor job cleaning. Sinks were clogged, furniture broken, carpets stained and dirty, tubs not cleaned! We had to call maintenance to come and clean the outside and do repairs on the beginning of our stay. Thankfully maintenance came and helped get some of the issued resolved, but it cut into our stay and the home still wasn’t cleaned. The pictures of the inside are misleading. This is a beautiful home in desperate need of updating.

Our stay at Calypso

Every bedroom has its own bathroom. Special touches in each bedroom as well. The sunsets on the sound are breathtaking. The kitchen has every appliance that is needed. Very peaceful.
