Summary:
California indoor/outdoor living at it's finest! Step out of your tranquil, airy bedroom onto your private patio and enjoy your morning coffee. After a long day, this 1930's Spanish bungalow will be your oasis. Located at the back of my property, you'll have this 1-bedroom casita and fenced patio all to yourself. The bungalow is equipped with a full kitchen and bathroom, along with a gated parking space. Quiet and peaceful- perfect spot to work from home or staycation!

The Space:
Where you’ll stay:
An adorable 1-bedroom casita tucked away behind a gated Spanish house. The bungalow has a living room with a sofa bed, kitchen, bathroom and bedroom, along with a private patio overflowing with beautiful bougainvillea. The kitchen was recently updated with graphite gray cabinetry, tile floors and quartz countertops. The bed is incredibly comfortable and looks out to the patio, making for a great night's sleep and a peaceful morning.

One gated parking spot is provided right outside your front door. Free street parking is also available.

Laundry use is available for stays of two weeks or longer. For shorter stays, there are numerous laundromats nearby.

Well-behaved, potty-trained pets are more than welcome! We do collect a non-refundable $50 per pet, per stay pet fee prior to check in. Please message me before booking to let me know you will be staying with a pet.

Comfortable Spot in Glendale

Was in LA for work and this spot was quiet and comfortable. Host was very communicative and accommodating. The outside private area was a nice setting to drink a morning coffee (or two).

A lovely stay!

We had a wonderful experience at Stephen's Bohemian Bungalow. It was the perfect size for the two of us with a really comfortable bed and a lovely private patio off the bedroom. Our stay was almost three weeks and we loved the location. We were able to walk a lot and it was sweet having an off- street parking spot right next to the bungalow. Stephen was very easy to communicate with and we look forward to staying here next year.

Easy, convenient, delightful stay

We had stayed in another spot at this location and knew that it would be perfect for our visit with our grown daughter who lives in an apartment nearby. It was delightful to be her neighbor in a very walkable neighborhood. The patio space made for a great place to hang out one afternoon between biking, the Descanso Gardens, a visit to San Pedro for tide pools and all of the delights to be found at The Americana and Galleria nearby. Check in was easy and the visit was no-fuss on our end of the stay We would stay again if it were available at the time.

Bare Bones

We had a totally adequate stay at this VRBO property, though it was very bare bones. No trash bag in the garbage can, very basic all around. Communication was great and check in/out was very easy too.

Wonderful, secluded little cottage

We had a great stay! Bed was really comfortable! Location was great. Only issues were very minor. Kettle to boil water was broken, tub was difficult to stand in, not enough tp/paper towels and trash bags. Owner response was prompt when asked. Would highly recommend

Super cute one bedroom cottage with huge patio! Parking spot included! Kitchen was big, bright, and clean. Bathroom was pretty snug. Toilet and sink at very close together, if you are a bigger than average person. Bedroom opened to the large patio with lights and table/benches. Overall, quiet neighborhood, easy to get in and out, good communication from the owner on how to access the property.

Nice quiet place conveniently located

We were in town for the Rose Parade. The home was very conveniently located less than 10 miles from Pasadena, Burbank and Warner Brothers Studio tours, Hollywood, Griffith Park and 45 minutes from the beach and Santa Monica Pier. We had a great time. Only challenge was the small parking space for our full size Ram 1500 truck. On street parking was available and neighborhood is safe...just a little inconvenient in the rain. Would definitely stay again.

Granny unit close to Glendale commercial district

This granny unit at the back of the property is fairly basic (bedroom, sitting area, no frills kitchen) and works well for a couple. We also had our dog and the private patio was awesome for her. The unit was clean and comfortable with lots of natural light. Two downsides depending on your needs: 1) the bathroom is tiny and would be uncomfortable for a large person, 2) the on-site parking is tight, even with our econo-box we struggled to park when the spot next to ours was occupied. On the plus side, they have an electric vehicle charger!

Adorable Glendale Bungalow

We rented this property for Thanksgiving week to visit our daughter. We were able to cook Thanksgiving dinner and eat on the private patio in the amazing SoCal weather. Heaven! Great location; close to everything we needed or wanted to do. Very eclectically decorated and quite cozy. We will definitely consider this property the next time we are in town.

Tranquil spot, close to everything

We spent two weeks in this guesthouse and it was so pleasant. The private courtyard became our oasis. We were able to have privacy and get everywhere in minutes. Excellent clean accommodation. Stephen was easy to work with and prompt in his responses. Would stay there again! Laura

Lovely little patio

Stephen was very helpful and a great host. The little patio was great for us to sit with our doggies. The bungalow was just the right size for the two of us. Fully functioning kitchen and the bed was good on our backs. The bathroom was clean, but a little tight. We’d recommend it.

Great Location

I rented this property for myself, my daughter and her friend. It was our first trip to California, so googled safest location in LA, as we were three women traveling alone. I was very pleased with this property. It is minutes away from the Americana Mall, Griffith Park and the Observatory. I loved the gated driveway and the outside seating area. Stephen was always available if I had any questions and was wonderful when I messed up our reservation times. I would definitely stay here again!

Wonderful visit in great location

This is a cozy property with a wonderful location in Glendale. Everything was clean and well taken care of. Stephen was very easy to communicate with, and responded very quickly to messages. All of the instructions were clear. I would definitely stay here again!

Great Stay!

My husband (and our pup) had a wonderful stay! It was the right size for the three of us, very clean, the bed was comfy and the backyard for this unit was extremely convenient and helped make the entire stay feel private despite it being a guesthouse on a larger property. The location was conveniently located, close to Griffith Park and downtown Glendale with tons of restaurants and supermarkets. Stephen was very proactive and communicative about addressing the wifi issues we had, and in general was a great host. Would definitely stay here again if we're back in LA.
