They immediately responded to my request. Craig sent a detailed text with pictures before we arrived. His directions were super easy to follow. There were a lot of supplies there. I even did laundry. The backyard is a tranquil setting! So relaxing!

We really enjoyed our stay in Glendale. The kitchen and bathroom of the apartment are small but totally workable, for just the two of us. The living room and bedroom are light and airy, and it felt very cozy. The patio gardens are EVERYTHING!! From coffee in the morning to a glass of wine at night, Craig's sanctuary was the perfect space to hang and relax.

Sweet spot for long restful weekend

We spent 3 peaceful days in Craig’s cozy, well equipped casita. The gardens are outstanding as are the outdoor seating areas. Our family also enjoyed two restful afternoons with us.

Excellent home

The property was excellent. The location was super close to everything we wanted to do, and a nice safe neighborhood . Craig the owner was excellent to deal with communicating with us ahead of time to make sure we found the place OK and to let us know if we had any questions to contact him.The patio is truly amazing, great place to relax and have coffee and breakfast in the morning and dinner in the evening. After attending a concert one evening we came home and the patio was almost magical with the lighting, water flowing and the plants. We will definitely stay here again if in the area!

Rejuvenating Stay

We thoroughly enjoyed getting to stay at Craig and Barbra’s cozy cottage space! It was so thoughtfully curated inside and out. The bed was comfortable, the living room was nice, kitchen well appointed, and we really appreciated that the space was extremely clean and breezy with the windows open. The unit faces the garden backyard which is utterly spectacular and complete with cool views of surrounding city areas and mountains in the distance. Communicating with the hosts was easy and helpful and we hope to get to stay with them again since we had such a great time.

Tranquil Retreat

This was the most relaxing space. The yard water feature and yard is gorgeous and you feel completely transported out of the hustle and bustle of the city. Craig was so helpful and nice it felt like staying with an old friend. Can’t wait to come back!

Perfect Oasis!

We were in town visiting with our son and stayed for 4 nights at this cute, peaceful and serene, cottage! The back patio was so beautiful with all the plants and flowers and creek, waterfall, and ponds, and don't want to forget the beautiful view of Glendale and surrounding mountains. At night, the entire back patio comes alive with amazing subtle lighting effects ... almost like a cozy little dream world! The bed was very comfortable, and the kitchen had everything we needed. As other reviews had mentioned, the bathroom is very small, but adequate. It didn't bother us at all as it just reminded us of our camping days back in the day. We will definitely return to this VRBO when in town again. Highly recommend! - Pam and Steve

Return to Paradise

Xmas visit

Property was small but the backyard was beautiful. It was just us so small was OK. We wished it was warmer weather to enjoy the property. Some items need to be updated and ceiling fans need to be cleaned. Be careful if you use a walker or whatever. Stairs to back entrance can be a problem. The bathroom is very small so if you are a larger person or need a walker, etc. it might be an issue. The owner is very pleasant to work with!

Fantastic Outdoor Space

We traveled to Glendale to attend the 2025 Rose Parade. We picked this place for its beautiful outdoor space as we were hoping to enjoy a more temperate climate while we escaped the upper midwest winter for a few days. The outdoor space was lovely with all kinds of garden art scattered about. It provided a wonderful view of the mountains off in the distance. The indoor space was clean and comfortable, with everything we needed for our home base for the parade and other outdoor activities we enjoyed during our stay. As other commenters have noted, the bathroom is rather tiny. But still it had everything we needed. There is easy access to the freeway system and a Ralph's grocery store about a mile or so from the house. We will visit again if we find ourselves in the neighborhood.

Idyllic spot

We were so happy that we chose this place for our 4 day visit in the LA area. Cozy inside and beautiful outside, it was a relaxing and enjoyable spot to return to after days of sightseeing. We especially enjoyed eating some meals outside while watching the birds in the backyard. The interior was clean and well-equipped, and our host Craig was friendly and communicative. An easy recommendation!

Great Place

The apartment was great we had everything we needed and the garden area was absolutely beautiful with a pound and view of the city. Craig was very accommodating allowing us to drop off our luggage early so we didn’t have to carry around in the car. It was close to everything we wanted and having off street parking was great.
