Newly Renovated 5 Bedroom Home on Bald Head Island House in Harbour Village

**Newly Renovated 2024** The Recovery Room is a five bedroom house on beautiful Bald Head Island. Our home is in Harbour Village at the marina with beautiful views of marsh and river from front and back porches and upstairs balcony. Wonderful spaces for relaxation! Easy walk to the fun happenings around the harbor--restaurants, marina, ferry, light house, and gorgeous sunsets over the Cape Fear River! Close proximity to the beach--easy walk to Beach Access 1 and 2. Rental includes 2 four passenger golf carts.

Kitchen, dining room, living room and small twin bedroom and full bath on first floor, 3 bedrooms (King, Twin over Double bunk, and Queen) and sitting area on 2nd floor, and 5th bedroom (2nd master with king bed and day bed) with private bathroom on 3rd floor. Kitchen is fully stocked with appliances and tools for cooking at home, but home is also in close proximity to many of the island restaurants! Three bedrooms have a smart TV along with large TV in living area. Well stocked for fun—sand toys, beach chairs, and boogie boards for beach fun, along with board games, puzzles, DVDs and video games are provided for rainy days.

So much to enjoy on the island: surfing, fishing, swimming (ocean and pool), golf, tennis, nature exploration, kayaking, SUP boarding, trivia nights, nature hikes, and relaxing on any of the beautiful beaches surrounding this wonderful island.

Temporary membership to Bald Head Island Club is offered for purchase for dining, pools, golfing, tennis, croquet and fitness center.

2024 Renovations--include adding a small twin bedroom on the first floor, updating kitchen, living room, and updating master bath.

Three night minimum in the off season and SEVEN day minimum rentals (FRIDAY changeover day) in the peak summer rental season.

Vacation

We loved sharing this beautiful home with 2 families including teenagers. The owner was very responsive and the location was superb! The house had ongoing renovation which she notified us about ahead of time. The main missing was not information to pack laundry soap, dish soaps and other basic needs. We would love to go back!

The Recovery Room

We had a great experience at the Recovery Room. The house was clean, well decorated and well stocked-the rainy day bucket in the closet for the kids was very thoughtful addition. The owner was very quick to respond to our correspondences which was refreshing and appreciated. In short, I would rent here again.

More than 5 stars!

I wish we could give Recovery Room more than 5 stars. It was our second stay here and we enjoyed every minute! The house, location, abundance of amenities, etc. make it easy to love. We appreciated the beach chairs, beach towels, bikes, games and puzzles, stocked kitchen, and "rainy day" and "in case you forgot" buckets of supplies, which we thankfully did not need to use. This is, by far, our favorite place we have rented on the island and we hope to be back next summer!

Wonderful week

We had a wonderful time at The Recovery Room . It was a time of rest and relaxation for our family . The house has everything you need for a comfortable stay and Sarah was so helpful in answering all our questions and meeting our needs .

Well Stocked Home

Lovely home in BHI that comes with everything you need for a delightful vacation. We will definitely visit BHI again. The home is very clean, comfortable and well stocked for cooking all meals. My only two complaints are that the furnishings are showing some wear, and the second golf cart is almost too slow to drive. Otherwise, the house and location is great!

Fantastic House

We loved the house. 5 women were there for a girls weekend. We loved the location and the house is well equipped and lovely. Would definitely recommend and would love to rent it again.

Fantastic 4-bedroom home

We loved our stay at the Recovery Room. The home was spacious, clean, charming, and had everything we needed. We loved the front and back porch as well as the screened-in porch that protected us from mosquitoes. This was our first trip to Bald Head Island and we didn’t realize how far we were from South and East beach. But, the golf carts were charged and convenient. The kids loved the bikes. We would definitely stay at the Recovery Room again!

Perfect for a family

This was our 8th trip to BHI and this a perfect house for our family of 6. The house is in a great location by the harbour and has a nice back porch overlooking the marsh. The owners are well organized and pay attention to detail - a very well apportioned house that had everything that we needed! We had a great stay at the Recovery Room and will look to book it again on our next trip.

The Perfect Retreat

I planned an Art & Yoga Creative Retreat on the island knowing that Bald Head Island was the perfect location. Choosing a house that would be so accomodating proved to be a bit harder. I made a fantastic choice with this house. The owner was very responsive, it was well stocked, and the extras like the kayaks, brand new bikes, beach chairs, towels, etc., and crabbing equipment made it even more appealing. Everyone raved about it all! The convenience of the location also made everyone feel comfortable to explore on their own. We'll definitely consider renting this place again for future retreats!

Fantastic home in a beautiful location

We had a fantastic experience staying at this home on Bald Head Island. The house was exactly as advertised, beautifully decorated, wonderful layout of the bedrooms and bathrooms and plenty of space! Great views on a quiet street so close to shops and restaurants in Harbor village but also easy access to lots of beach locations. Communication with Sarah was so easy and she was so quick to respond to any questions I had. She also gave lots of tips and information about the island like what to bring and how to bring it across on the ferry, how to get from the ferry to the house and back and information on shops and restaurants. From start to finish Sarah made everything very easy and her home was everything she advertised and more. I would definitely love to stay at this location again.

Great Get Away!

Golf cart batteries on Blue cart need replaced. Ran out of juice twice while gauge read still had power. Had a dumpster across the street impeeding view. Upstairs was very warm at night. Great house overall.

Long Weekend at BHI

Our family stayed a long weekend at the property and enjoyed it immensely. The location is great. It is walkable from Jules and Delphina and some of the beach access spots. The two golf carts worked very well. The house was clean and well-appointed. Attention to detail was also excellent. For example, there was a "rainy day" closet with some coloring books and activities for kids, beach towels were stocked, thorough instructions for all TVs, clear check-out instructions, etc. We would highly recommend this property.

Our family has been vacationing on Bald Head Island for more than 10 years. We all say Bald Head is "our happy place". We enjoy fishing, surfing, and playing in the ocean! Climbing the Old Baldy lighthouse is an annual tradition.

Por qué escogió este alojamiento

Bald Head is such a special place--"Turtle Time" allows for much relaxation and fun. We especially enjoy the location in Harbour Village, as we can walk to West Beach (we love to fish!), the restaurants, beach access to watch the sunset over the river (and our boys love to bike over to the ice cream shop)!
