This was one of the best places we’ve stayed using Vrbo. We enjoyed the serene morning and evening views/kayaking on Hutchins Lake. Short drive to Lake Michigan beaches, Saugatuck and Douglas. You can see the peach orchard from the patio. The house was fully stocked with everything you need; kitchen, board games, kids books, movies etc. All around great place to stay. S’mores around the fire pit were a bonus each night.

Relaxing cottage on Lake Hutchins.Plenty of entertainment on the water.Bonfire with smores at night. Neat, clean, and comfy accommodations.Plenty of hikes nearby and swimming in Lake Michigan while at the beach. Surrounded by wineries and u-pick farms for fresh produce.

Everything we could have hoped for and more! Great fishing and clear, clean water for swimming. Loved the kayaks, canoe, and stand-up paddle board. Beautiful and cozy home with everything we needed to be happy and comfortable. Loved the nearby winery and bakery. We could not have been happier!

Comfortable, clean and quiet getaway. From checkin to checkout each detail was thoughtfully planned and communicated. The cottage was clean with comfortable beds, a well appointed kitchen, relaxing living room, and a beautiful view of the lake. This was the perfect place to relax and unwind and we enjoyed coffee on the deck as well as sitting in the Adirondack chairs on the dock and kayaking in the lake. Fun antique malls nearby, as well as U pick farms, wineries, a donut and pie bakery and the quaint town of Fennville. Saugatuck, Holland and Lake Michigan were an easy 15-18 minute drive from the cottage which gave us a variety of things to do and places to eat out. Such a lovely stay!

Cozy lake cottage w great views!

Enjoyed our stay in Oct. Was a little disappointed that the dock had already been taken up bc we planned to kayak and fish. It would have been nice to know before booking. The cottage is adorable and has everything you need. Beautiful views of lake. Steep steps to lake were a problem for me but I made it!! Close to Crane Orchards, nice quiet area. Ate dinner at a great restaurant there in Fennville, Salt of the Earth. Took a private Coastal tour of the local wineries which was great. House was very comfortable and relaxing. Laundry is in basemen and coin operated. Kitchen stocked w everything and a nice Weber grill on deck. Would definitely recommend.

Michigan Lake Life!

First time stay in the Brower Cottage and what a relaxing week it was. Family of 6 with 4 boys ages 11-15 and two poodles. Accommodations were fabulous and well appointed. We enjoyed running around Hutchins Lake, canoeing, kayaking, paddle boarding, swimming and fishing from the dock. Played lots of euchre, watched the Olympics and movies, and grilled out. Purchased groceries in Fennville and Douglas. Enjoyed meals in Saugatuck, Douglas, Fennville, and Holland. Rented a boat in Saugatuck. Hiked up Mt Baldhead and down to Oval beach, took our poodles to Saugatuck Dunes State Park, ran an interval workout at Fennville High School, picked peaches at Cranes, and shopped in Saugtuck and Holland. We felt closer as a family and restored after the relaxing week.

Fall Getaway

My wife and I stayed at Brower Cottage for a week. The cottage is spotless and very updated. The wall of windows looking out on the lake is beautiful. Loved that were were able to bring our dog. Great location - easy to explore nearby Saugatuck/Douglas and Macatawa/Holland. Communication with hosts was great. Would highly recommend!

Relaxing

We have stayed at Brower Cottage seven times. It's our dream get away. We also bring our dog, who loves swimming in the lake. Good food is near by and of course, Crane's pies. The owner is very easy to work with and very dependable. We will be back!

Our One and Only for a Great Michigan Getaway

Our third of fourth visit to Brower Cottage., everything about Joe and Jamie's cozy butt extremely well furnished and equipped. Home is first-rate. And any time a question or a problem occasionally surfaces, or hosts couldn't have been more prompt and helpful in responding.

Very special place!

Brower cottage did not disappoint! The views from the living room are picture perfect, especially when sitting in the comfy chair and ottoman. All the furnishings were attractive and comfortable, including the beds. We enjoyed watching our favorite shows on TV and listening to my Pandora stations. The kitchen had all the cookware, utensils and dishes I needed to fix meals. The cottage was also well stocked with paper goods and cleaning supplies. I didn't have to buy anything! My grandsons came for a visit for a few days. They loved the bunk beds, playing on the dock and swimming. We did do some exploring in the area. . . the Outdoor Discovery Center, shopping in Holland and Saugatuck and visiting Windmill Island Gardens. The flowers everywhere were beautiful. Of course, being close to Crane's Restaurant and Pie Pantry, and their U-pick orchards was a real bonus. They have 30,000 trees! Anytime I had a question or concern the owner was quick to answer my messages and offer his help. I will definitely stay at Brower cottage again.

Brower Cottage - an excellent week

Brower Cottage on Hutchins Lake was perfect for our extended family we had three couples, 2 infants and 2 dogs for the week. The property was well maintained and beautiful. The house was very clean with a lot of updates. The kitchen was stocked with pots, pans, spices, oils - making our stay welcome and very comfortable. The hosts, Joe and Jamie, were easy to communicate with - the whole week was just a great family memory..

Another wonderful visit

This was our second time staying at Brower Cottage. We were happy to have perfect weather and be able to use the canoe and kayaks…perfect for our kids to learn and practice some independence on the water in a safe space. It was great! The cottage itself is so nice and cozy. The area is charming. We hope to return in the future!

We love Brower Cottage

Brower Cottage is a great place to stay in the area. Very peaceful, lakefront with a pier. We caught some big fish, including a pike, right off the pier. The home is very well cared for and clean. The hosts are the best. Have come here 4 times now and will keep coming back. Just perfect for a get away, very close to many things but still removed from the Saugatuck crowds.

What a sweet little cottage! The view of the lake is breathtaking.

Always a wonderful stay!

I have been a frequent visitor to Brower Cottage over the last 7 or 8 years. The area and the Cottage never disappoint. Hutchins Lake is beautiful no matter what the weather, and there is much to do, see, and explore in the charming towns of Saugatuck, Douglas and Fennville. The Cottage provides a delightful and comfortable base. A great place for adults and children alike!

Perfect Stay

We had such a great trip coming up here to stay. Perfect location close to downtown and wineries. Deck, fire pit, and dock are all you need for a weekend away. Owners are truly the kindest people. House well stocked with everything you would need. We definitely hope to come back for another girl's trip!

Third year of wonderful!

Another wonderful time even if quite chilly. It didn’t stop the children from going swimming, kayaking and paddle boarding. The cottage was clean and comfortable as usual. Unfortunately, the grill was not clean. But, with some elbow grease we were able to grill. Thanks again, Joe. We look forward to next year.
