The house is lovely! The beds are on the smaller side but comfortable. I thought the well water was fine, and happily drank from the Brita pitcher in the fridge. Others in my group brought bottled water and preferred that. Private beach access was fun, especially for the kids! We had a lovely stay.

With Eve’s permission, we had a relaxed micro-wedding here with our closest family and friends. It was a beautiful location- right on the water with steps leading down to the beach! Eve was so accommodating and helpful at every step of the process. We appreciated her prompt communication and willingness to allows us to host the event. We loved getting to stay at her home for the extended weekend. The rooms were beautiful and clean, with a rich history and gorgeous antique aesthetic, not far from great restaurants and coffee shops. Our guests were impressed with the house and location. Thank you Eve for being an incredible host! We feel so fortunate to have found this location, and the day turned out perfect. 10/10 would love to stay here again in the future!

A very grand historical home that sits overlooking Lake Michigan. The screened in back porch is a perfect spot to sit and listen to the lske and the birds with a cup of coffee. And the owner was so very helpful with ideas/suggestions of restaurants etc in the area to try. Can’t wait to return.

best family vacation

Beautiful setting in a classic old cottage. Close to Saugutuck/Douglas for dining and shopping. Best time at the beach, swimming and rock hunting.

The Orchard House is incredible. The private beach is what vacation dreams are made of. Our kids loved to swim while others in our group preferred to enjoy the natural beauty from the upstairs deck with the posted spectacular view. Drinking coffee on the screened porch and a glass of wine while enjoying the sunset are just a few awesome moments of our trip. The Orchard House is the best place to relax and enjoy quality time with your loved ones.Thank you, Eve! We are already looking forward to coming back!

Amazing Girls' Weekend!

We celebrated a bachelorette party over memorial day weekend at the adorable Orchard House. The heating system kept up well during chilly evenings and Eve had the house stocked with all the necessities, and more! The property is so peaceful and the private beach is excellent. We loved the charm of this house and the fact it has been in the owner's family since it was built. The beds were SO comfortable as well. I would love to come stay again!

Lucky to call this place home for a few days while in Michigan

Unique, memorable and fun spot to call home for a few days while in Michigan for a wedding. Was able to host extended family for a beach day while there. Communication from property owner was great, enough space to sleep 9 comfortably. A great find!

Family week on Lake Michigan

The location of Orchard House can't be beat. Right on Lake Michigan, with private stsirs to the beach. The home is a lovely and historic house with plenty of common spaces, both indoors and out. Would definitely come back!

Charming Historical Home

My family enjoyed staying in this delightful historical home. It has so much character and has been well maintained by the owners. A real gem on the Lake MI shoreline. The host was very responsive to our questions and the welcome gift was a nice surprise!

Lake views!

We had a wonderful vacation. The home was beautiful and the location was amazing. Communication with Eve was easy and fast. The house has everything you need to have a beautiful stay right on the beach.

Charming Old House

Wonderful views of Lake Michigan right off the back porch and very nice beach with built in shade trees. Great rock hunting! House is full of charm and history. Loved sharing this place with family and then friends.
