Great stay close to beach

Location was a short walk to the beach. Amenities, discounts on services accompanying the booking is a plus. The unit was clean, full-size clothes washer/dryer, and plentiful hot water. A/C unit cooled the lower level best, struggled to cool the upper level. Assigned parking and no safety/security issues during our stay. Overall, definitely would recommend and stay this location again!

The house itself was very nice. Some of the lights did not work and the bathtub/shower needed replacing. The location was perfect and provided all the amenities needed.

Nice stay & great price

Despite the townhouse not being as clean as expected and not know omg what to do with the trash, our family enjoyed the stay. It was a quick trip, so the amenities were great. A major disappointment was that the listing photos showed the balcony overlooking the pool, but that was not accurate. Therefore, we never used the pool and only stayed at the beach.

Very Nice Condo

We would definitely come back to Woodlands Shores. Very clean, had to make a maintance call and they were there less than 24 hours. Very close to the beach and very quite and peaceful while sitting on the balcony. Only thing negative was there was no trash bags left for us but of course there are several near by stores to get things as you need them. ❤

Family vacay

Property is very cute and inviting. The air conditioning did not work in one bedroom upstairs, but someone did come and fix it. It began working the night before we left. Also, the sofa bed was broken which left us with one less place for someone to sleep, but we managed.

Nice two level townhouse

The property is in a quiet location about 2 blocks from the beach. It has a lot of space compared to a typical 2 BR rental. There are two full baths associated with the upstairs bedrooms and a half bath off of the downstairs living room-kitchen area. The tubs and shower would benefit from grab bars for safety. Otherwise, everything is in good working order..

Overall it was decent, but when we first arrived, the floors still had sand throughout, on both levels. That’s main reason only giving 3 stars.

Loved the place! But we were suppose to check in at 4 and didn’t till 6 due to short staff for cleaning. I understand but when we arrived i could see they rushed and didn’t completely clean it right. Was still fun tho!

Great vacay.

We enjoyed our time in Destin. The place we stayed had everything we could have needed /wanted and more! The only 2 improvements / changes would be updating the restroom. The downstairs toilet kept clogging and we weren’t able to use it much of the trip. The other thing which really couldn’t be changed would be easier access to the beach! There is a busy highway you have to cross to get to the beach which makes traveling with children even more of a challenge. Other than that tho, great time!

Beach visit

We had a wonderful stay at your property. Everything in the house was pretty much just as it looks in the pictures. Very comfy beds! Plenty of room in the townhouse to spread out. Walk to beach was a bit further than we expected, but probably was good for us to get that walk in each day. Not sure I’d want to make that walk with little ones - might want to rent a golf cart. Also I asked if there was any beach chairs/equipment and was told no. We brought our own chairs/umbrellas, but discovered there actually were chairs and some other beach toys in the closet under the stairs. Not sure what all there was as we had our own. Overall loved our stay in this house!

Great place!

We enjoyed our stay at the townhouse - Woodland Shores #38. The home was exactly as described on VRBO. There are two parking spaces for the home, which was nice because we were able to have a parking spot for the gas golf cart that we rented. The location was great, it is a couple of blocks away from the public beach. Two bikes and a lock were provided in the shed outside. The home is not in view of the pool, but it is only a short walk there. It is nice that there are bathrooms at the pool. My only wish was that there would have been chairs to sit on the upstairs balcony and that the furniture on the back porch was a little more than just a plastic table and chairs. We enjoyed dining at Pompano Joes, it was an hour and a half wait for a table and a bit pricy, but well worth it! All in all....great place, great location, great vacation!

Great location to the beach

Overall, we had a great experience. The a/c doesn’t work well upstairs and the bathrooms need a refresh upstairs, they aren’t outdated you can just tell that they’ve patched up from wear and tear. The check in process wasn’t bad, there just wasn’t enough communication. For instance the directions to our unit indicated it was on Ellis st but in fact it was on Payne st. There wasn’t any information directly about where to throw trash or where the pool was- little things. It would have been nice to have some outdoor furniture on the balcony but other than these small things it was great!

Disappointed

I don’t usually leave anything but positive reviews, but I want to offer a realistic overview to help future guests. The unit met our basic needs, but the experience was more frustrating than expected. The layout of the complex is confusing, with sidewalks that don’t lead anywhere and hard-to-find unit numbers. Trash had to be taken across grass to another lot. We weren’t given clear directions for the pool or beach access, not that either were inviting when we found them nor were we told tents weren’t allowed and the beach was very crowded. The home wasn’t as close to the beach or as clean as expected. There was no place to walk safely to the beach with family. A nail was sticking out of a step that goes to the bedrooms, chewed-up blinds, ripped screens, and a broken dishwasher. Overall it did the job but I left feeling misled and disappointed.

Don’t waste your money

Let me begin with the positive aspects of this trip. My family and I got to see our oldest son who is stationed at Eglin AFB for the week. We were so excited to spend a week in the supposed upscale Destin area. This location is far from upscale. The listing photos are very misleading. There is mention of a dining area gulf view. This is an absolute lie. There is no window in the dining area. Upon arrival there was a distinct smell of smoke. The condo did not smell clean much less look clean. I had to take a trip to the store to purchase my own cleaning supplies before I put my things on any of the surfaces. After driving a seven and a half hour trip this is to say the least the last thing I wanted to do. I cleaned enough to unpack and was going to overlook some things because we were “at the beach “ but when we tried to pull the sofa out for our son, it would not pull out. We finally got it out of the couch and the whole head of the mattress fell to the ground. It was impossible to sleep on. It was then that I started making a list of the things that were unacceptable. *Sand on floor and furniture *Toilet paper roll holder fell in floor when used(it was propped into place) *duct tape over hole in air mattress( which did not allow the mattress to stay inflated) * Master bathtub is chipping paint because it was painted with what looked like flat house paint * Rug was so stained it made our socks black on the bottom *Fridge had to be manually shut to keep food cold

It's really a home away from home place, closed to the beach, restaurants.

The property maybe needs a small upgrade specially the bathrooms. Overall it was perfect for all you need on vacation. I will definitely stay here again.

nice, clean place

it was close enough to walk a little ways to the beach. not as close as i thought it was, but close enough. the pool wasnt close to our property like the pictures. everything else was great!

The place is very nice and kept up. We had a really great time! The property manager responded back with in minutes the two times I reached out.

Looking for a nice get away for next year

We loved the location especially how quite area and patio is perfect to enjoy family time.

Great Place!

Very nice and comfortable accommodations that make a perfect home away from home. Great location within walking distance to the beach or a very short drive to public beach access parking lot if you have a lot of beach gear. Location is also close to shopping, food and family fun & adventures. We would definitely stay here again if we visit the Destin area in the future.

Not what I expected, dirty

I don’t normally right reviews unless I’m super disappointed. There were so many issues with this place to me. 1. It was not clean- there was a bucket on the front porch with cigarette juice in it and a broken broom stick; the back porch had a bunch of left over beach junk, cigarettes laying around, and it smelled funny; the floors in the house turned you feet black. 2. So many lights in the house didn’t work. 3. The garbage disposal didn’t work. 4. The plumbing was terrible- the sinks would just hold water. 5. The kitchen sink nozzle was basically broken. 6. Way too far of a walk to the beach- and the parking lots to drive there were always full if you want to go anytime after lunch. I will say this, there were a few positives - the street was quiet and the pools were nice. I won’t be booking here again.

Comfortable

This property was clean and the property manager was responsive. The pools were our favorite, as well as the huge TV. We had a great experience. That being said, I felt the price was too high considering the unit did not have beach access.
