This OFF-THE-GRID, hand-built log cabin overlooks our 3-acre lake on over 30 acres of mixed pine, hardwood and field. This is a great place to disconnect from technology and become one with nature, friends and family. The cabin contains the necessities for your stay including electricity (solar-panels with backup generator), running hot and cold water and LP gas. No central HVAC. There are several fans upstairs as well as a wood-burning stove and there is an A/C unit in the master bedroom. Sleeps up to 8 in two bedrooms plus two cozy sitting areas with fold-out couches. 2 full baths downstairs (one with shower only) and a half-bath upstairs. The kitchen includes a gas range but no oven or microwave. There is a small refrigerator but we recommend bringing your own cooler. There is a gas grill on the deck and a cinder-block smoker grill. There is also an additional out-building with 4 beds (no electricity or plumbing). This is a rustic getaway. There is NO INTERNET / WIFI, cell service is poor and there is limited electricity from the batteries (no hair dryers, irons, or other "heat-generating appliances" please!) We have an outside fire pit area to relax and a row boat on the property for fishing. This cabin has plenty of acres for hiking or camping outside.
