Book your stay at this cozy mountain cottage! The residence features an indoor fireplace, rustic wood surfaces, mid-century touches, and a layout allowing for privacy between the upstairs and downstairs sleeping areas with queen beds in each of the three bedrooms. Fully equipped kitchen with stainless steel appliances downstairs; flat screen TV upstairs in living room. Relax at the fire pit while roasting marshmallows after a day on the slopes of Appalachian Ski Mountain. Sip coffee on the porch listening to the sounds of the property’s babbling brook. If you need to work, there is high speed internet and a separate home office. Just minutes away from hiking, skiing, the Blue Ridge Parkway, and all that Boone/Blowing Rock has to offer. All wheel drive or chains needed when it snows due to a steeper driveway; 3 car max. If you have any questions about the house or area, feel free to ask!

What a great little cottage to stay at, and especially great for kids. The place was perfectly clean, and we love that there was not a lot of knickknacks and breakable things around. It is nicely decorated but no extra junk everywhere. Love that. It is very comfortable and cozy, seems like everything is brand new! There’s even a great little office that doubles as a playroom for kids and even with some toys, games, and books to share. Great little kitchen, with some of the best pots, pans, and knives we have ever had at a rental stay. If I had to find a negative, the only complaint is that the stairs are actually quite loud. Loved the stay, thanks so much.

Awesome Mountain Stay

The property was as perfect place for our quick trip to the mountains. Near Blowing Rock and App Ski Mountain. The house was clean and easy to access. We liked using the outdoor fire pit on the cold evening. We loved the house and will be back in the future.

We had a great time staying at the house. We loved how close it was to the various attractions in Boone. We were happy to find a baby gate and pack-n-play in the closet too.

Hideaway close to town

Fantastic location. Wonderful natural setting with a convenient fire pit with chairs surrounding made the hotdogs and s’mores great. Easy drive to Boone or blowing rock. Four-wheel-drive may be recommended during winter season, especially if any snow accumulation, but this summer it was easily accessible with our Honda CRV. Lastly, I slept extraordinarily well with the excellent bedding.

Mixed opinions

Property location was good. House was clean and recently updated. My only complaint is the mattresses need to be replaced. I slept in the downstairs bedroom and the mattress sagged in the middle and provided very little support. I notified the host and she said she would look into it after our stay.

Great location

We booked this house for our daughter’s first trip to Tweetsie and to see the mountains. She was in awe. The location between Boone and Blowing Rock is hard to beat. The house was very clean and had everything we needed and more. We plan to stay again soon!

Location is fantastic

This house was just a couple of minutes off the main highway in a quiet neighborhood. Very quick and easy access to Boone or Blowing Rock. This house was clean and just the right size for our family of four. Tamara was a very thoughtful and engaged host.

Perfect location, perfect host

The rental was in the perfect location for access to skiing, tubing, and Tweetsie Railroad- all activities that we planned for our young family. The real shining star of this rental is the host, Tamara! She was so incredibly attentive, responded quickly, and when we left a few valuable items behind in the haste of packing up three young kids, Tamara helped us recover the items- immediately easing our stress! Thank you Tamara!

Good location and comfortable stay

Well thought fixture and furniture which was the best part, host was respondent. Internet kept dropping off had to use my own hotspot most of the TV that we watched. We didn’t use the main bedroom because there was no bathroom in that room which was weird so we stayed on the 2nd floor. Toilets and showers were too tight and we didn’t even use the shower because I couldn’t barely fit in them.

Great time with Family

Tamara was easy to reach and communicate with. She promptly answered all our questions. House was very clean and well stocked. Location was great. It was close to multiple towns and attractions. Would stay here again!

In selecting a home for our family, we wanted to find place that was like entering a different word. Even though it is a short drive from nearby locations, the high elevation of the area gives Blowing Rock a totally different climate; we love being able to go someplace cool in the summer and to have snow adventures in the winter!
