Drift Away - A beautiful River front home in Southern Oregon

Drift Away is just that! It’s located right on the Rogue River with beautiful views. The home sleeps 14 people and is a special house next door to our Sleepy Canoe House which also sleeps 14. Our dream is to host weddings, family gatherings, wellness retreats, fishing and rafting camps. The Drift Away house has all amenities for entertaining and a full office for efficiently getting things done so you can enjoy the rest of your stay. Enjoy dining and living with a beautiful fireplace and river view. Bring your fishing gear to land a famous Rogue River salmon or two or simply enjoy soaking in the cool river's edge pools below the house. Zen rocks for stacking. Hiking, biking, sports park, family beach park are all within two blocks and a nice walk up the river to the Class IV rapids. Whitewater rafting, fishing expeditions, jet boat tours, winery tours, shopping, golf, and a wide variety of restaurants and site seeing will entertain your guests.

Any guests over 4, we charge 30 dollars each per night due to extra bed usage and amenities used.

No cats allowed.

We stayed here on our way up to a Hood River wedding, and loved this house and location for the 7 of us and our mini-schnauzer. The river is right by the house and there’s a couple of stationary food trucks within walking distance that had delicious food. I love the character of the house.

Amazing view

Great location to where we needed to be. The view is absolutely amazing! Would’ve given it five stars, except the hot tub seemed to be rather old. We weren’t able to adjust the temperature so it seems super hot and not all of the jets were working, nor were any of the lights. Other than that, we had a great time at this Home.

It’s the view for me

Nice, clean and beautiful views. Really felt like a home. Only a little pointer, the 4th bedroom is the garage but if you have a teen with you they wouldn’t mind. Thank you for sharing this house with the world.

Quick getaway

The house has only 3 bedrooms, 2 bedrooms were bunk beds only. Also, has 2 hideaway beds that were not comfortable. Narrow small kitchen, only 1 person can cook at a time. We made the best of it but not planning to stay again.

Nice home and decor

We enjoyed our stay here. It is on the river with a lighted path leading down. Lots of outdoor entertainment options. The decor is very attractive. Living room was very comfortable. Our visit was in the winter so the gas fireplace hit the spot.

Beautiful Home Right on the Rogue Rive

Our family stayed at this new home right on the Rogue River before a raft trip in early August. The home was brand new and worked out perfectly for our family—large outdoor spaces including steps to the river's edge were an added feature. The property manager was very responsive and Wifi was fast and reliable. The beds were comfortable and linens were top notch...

We were to old, lol

learned a couple things. I thought because we usually sleep in queen size beds in hotels the bunk beds should be ok. My 40 year old daughters had trouble getting up and down and definitely not for 65 and 85 year olds. We also could not get up or down the path to the river, so plans to spend the afternoon was a wash. I have never ran across the problem with paper products before and I have stayed at a lot of places. The home is beautiful and we made it all work . We had a great weekend.

Rogue River Bliss

We absolutely loved the Drift Away home! The home is gorgeous inside & out, what a great setting to be next to the beautiful Rogue River! It was very warm while we were there, but it didn't keep us from enjoying the amazing outdoor space, very nice to have a fan in the gazebo & nice to be able to stick our toes in the river to cool down. It was a delight to have such a beautiful & cozy place to stay, the decor was perfect. This home has many amenities & did not disappoint our family, we could have stayed a lot longer.

Beautiful place!

Although this was a short stay for us, this was a beautiful home! Very clean and had everything we needed. Although we weren’t able to utilize the hot tub due to the 114° weather, we were able to walk down to the river and weed in the cold water to cool off.

Gold Hill Stay

I liked the property, it was just like the pictures. The top bunk however was really close to the ceiling, a little tight for the young adults sleeping there. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking utensils and there were plenty of towels. There were minimal supplies for our 6 day trip so we had to pick up extra at the store. The River was beautiful, but the path was being worked on and it was a little treacherous for some of our group to get to. Once you’re there, there’s no where to sit and enjoy it from the shore. There’s also a lot of traffic noise from the road. The deck was full of cobwebs and the patio cushions were dirty. There were also a lot of bugs on the furniture. They did have an exterminator come by while we were gone, I felt a little uncomfortable with that, but it’s their house and I wasn’t going to be inconvenienced by having to wait on them while I’m on vacation. The hot tub was great, but the handyman was on the premises and we had to wait for him to finish working on it for us to use it. We saw him there several times while we were there, privacy was somewhat of an issue, you’re also right next door to your neighbor. The house for the most part fit our needs. I was informed after we left that apparently 2 pillowcases were missing and one of the sheets had ink stains and had to be replaced, they charged me $100, that didn’t sit well with me.

Not yet ready

The outdoor space was not yet ready for summer. Hot tub did not work had to wait a day for it to be fixed. Lots of cobwebs on outdoor furniture. The BBQ that is provided does not grill properly. And we had to clean it before we could use it. The trail to the river is not finished and very dangerous. I slipped and fell. That was a disappointment for a property on the river and you can't get to the river. Privacy was also a concern.

Sibling Retreat

This property was great for myself, my siblings & spouses to gather to bury our parent's ashes. It allowed us all to have comfy beds, places to sit & converse both inside & out, a kitchen to prepare yummy meals & spaces for individual processing & contemplation. The view was gorgeous. Only down side is you can hear the highway & would have rather been able to hear more of the river but the space was still great!

Family Gathering

We had some family over for dinner. It was the perfect place for us to enjoy. The home is beautiful, clean and well stocked. The river and outdoor setting is also beautiful.
