Drift Away - A beautiful River front home in Southern Oregon

Drift Away is just that! It’s located right on the Rogue River with beautiful views. The home sleeps 14 people and is a special house next door to our Sleepy Canoe House which also sleeps 14. Our dream is to host weddings, family gatherings, wellness retreats, fishing and rafting camps. The Drift Away house has all amenities for entertaining and a full office for efficiently getting things done so you can enjoy the rest of your stay. Enjoy dining and living with a beautiful fireplace and river view. Bring your fishing gear to land a famous Rogue River salmon or two or simply enjoy soaking in the cool river's edge pools below the house. Zen rocks for stacking. Hiking, biking, sports park, family beach park are all within two blocks and a nice walk up the river to the Class IV rapids. Whitewater rafting, fishing expeditions, jet boat tours, winery tours, shopping, golf, and a wide variety of restaurants and site seeing will entertain your guests.

Any guests over 4, we charge 30 dollars each per night due to extra bed usage and amenities used.

No cats allowed.

We stayed here on our way up to a Hood River wedding, and loved this house and location for the 7 of us and our mini-schnauzer. The river is right by the house and there’s a couple of stationary food trucks within walking distance that had delicious food. I love the character of the house.

It’s the view for me

Nice, clean and beautiful views. Really felt like a home. Only a little pointer, the 4th bedroom is the garage but if you have a teen with you they wouldn’t mind. Thank you for sharing this house with the world.

Amazing view

Great location to where we needed to be. The view is absolutely amazing! Would’ve given it five stars, except the hot tub seemed to be rather old. We weren’t able to adjust the temperature so it seems super hot and not all of the jets were working, nor were any of the lights. Other than that, we had a great time at this Home.

Nice home and decor

We enjoyed our stay here. It is on the river with a lighted path leading down. Lots of outdoor entertainment options. The decor is very attractive. Living room was very comfortable. Our visit was in the winter so the gas fireplace hit the spot.

Beautiful place!

Although this was a short stay for us, this was a beautiful home! Very clean and had everything we needed. Although we weren’t able to utilize the hot tub due to the 114° weather, we were able to walk down to the river and weed in the cold water to cool off.

The place was just great, just as described on the site. Mountain biking and hiking was great and we went to the Redwoods and Crater Lake. You couldn’t ask for a better place to stay.

Family Gathering

We had some family over for dinner. It was the perfect place for us to enjoy. The home is beautiful, clean and well stocked. The river and outdoor setting is also beautiful.

Quick getaway

The house has only 3 bedrooms, 2 bedrooms were bunk beds only. Also, has 2 hideaway beds that were not comfortable. Narrow small kitchen, only 1 person can cook at a time. We made the best of it but not planning to stay again.

Wonderful River Retreat

We enjoyed a great stay here. Perfect spot for attending a family party in Grants Pass while enjoying the quiet river retreat of the house. Very well appointed. Enjoyable experience of communication with the owner. We are all very pleased.

Really well appointed, almost luxury

This place is clean and extremely well appointed. We could have easily just hung out there all day, every day, but we had outdoors stuff to do in the area. Coffee, towels, linen, all in excellent order. Hot tub was awesome after a long day of hiking.

Our family stayed at this new home right on the Rogue River before a raft trip in early August. The home was brand new and worked out perfectly for our family—large outdoor spaces including steps to the river's edge were an added feature. The property manager was very responsive and Wifi was fast and reliable. The beds were comfortable and linens were top notch...

A nice family getaway

Listed as a four bedroom with an office the office was a desk in the master bedroom. And there were two other small bedrooms and a bed in the garage. Very nice outdoor space. Overall cozy and relaxing.
