Mojave Haven: Fast WiFi, New Heat/AC, Private Backyard in downtown Joshua Tree

Find your sense of peace and adventure at this stylish two bedroom house, walking distance to Joshua Tree village & a short 10 minute drive to the park entrance. Escape the heat with brand new A/C units and fast WiFi. Watch the sunset over the mountains from rocking chairs on the front porch, then relax under mature Joshua trees in the private backyard. Prepare dinner with family and friends in the newly renovated kitchen, then play games, relax with some yoga, and curl up under the stars.

The space
COVID-19 UPDATE
The house is cleaned and disinfected between each stay in accordance with government and recommended guidelines.

BEDROOMS
Two large bedrooms, each with a king-sized bed, memory foam mattress, brand new heat/ac units, room-darkening shades, full-sized closet, fan, and white noise machine. Fresh linens, blankets, comforters, and multiple pillow options are provided so you can get a great night’s sleep. There is a dedicated work desk in the master bedroom, and our WiFi has been verified at over 200 Mbps.

KITCHEN
Brand new appliances, including a full-sized refrigerator, stove, oven, dishwasher, and microwave. Coffee is provided from Joshua Tree Coffee Company, along with a coffee grinder, drip coffee maker, French Press, tea, kettle, pots/pans, baking sheet, Brita water filter, ice cube trays, knives, cutting board, corkscrew/bottle opener and various other cooking utensils. Plates, bowls, glasses, mugs, stainless wine cups, and eating utensils are all provided.

OUTDOOR
Spend time with loved ones in three separate backyard seating areas, including a shaded picnic table perfect for group meals. Play bean bag toss and giant Jenga into the evening under the ambiance of cafe-style string lights. The front porch features Adirondack rocking chairs, native desert landscaping, and a beautiful mountain view.

LIVING/DINING ROOM
The home’s open living space has ample seating and dining space for relaxing after a long day. There is a 50” Roku TV equipped with Netflix and Hulu, a Chromecast for streaming additional content from your phone, and a Nintendo Wii. Games, books, and magazines give you plenty to do. A new A/C unit will keep you cool, and fast WiFi and plenty of table surfaces allow you to set up all your devices.

BATHROOMS
There are two full bathrooms, one with a glass shower and the other with combo shower/tub. Amenities include: bath towels, hand towels, shampoo/conditioner/body wash, tissues, make-up wipes, hair dryer, first-aid kit, and bandages.

YOGA SPACE
Practice with a provided yoga mat, props, and meditation cushion alongside a mirror and mandala wall art, located in the large second bedroom.

Guest access
Guests have access to the entire main house and yard, except for the garage and the stand-alone studio in back. There is parking for two cars in the driveway. Per county regulations, street parking is prohibited by Airbnb guests.

Other things to note
The fireplace in the living room is decorative only and is not operational. The house has new zoned heaters for warmth.

If you are not familiar with Joshua Tree it may be helpful to know that Joshua Tree is not akin to Palm Springs. Joshua Tree is a tiny, working-class desert town and the neighborhood streets are not fancy. We love the quirky local nature of our town and hope you will too!

Our house is located right in the residential neighborhood of downtown south Joshua Tree. Please keep in mind that you will have neighbors. Our location is perfect for visiting the National Park and town! It is a 2-minute drive (or 13-minute walk) from Joshua Tree village, including Natural Sisters Cafe, Joshua Tree Coffee Company, Crossroads Cafe, Joshua Tree Saloon, the National Park Visitor Center, and a ton of cute shops.

10 minute drive to Yucca Valley, which has chain restaurants, drug stores, and a Walmart - plus some really great local-only finds!

20 minutes to Pioneertown, Pappy & Harriets, and the Integratron
