A dream villa for an unforgettable holiday!

Exceptional panoramic view of the islets of Little Key, Pinel. Villa Hortense is located 50 meters from the sea accessible by a private path.

The villa has a large terrace of 200m² overlooking the heated pool and the bay of Cul de Sac. You can enjoy breakfast in the sun or evenings by the barbecue. With our feet in the water, we put at your disposal 3 kayaks for romantic or sports walks in this quiet and still typical bay.
Located 5 minutes from Orient Bay, you can quickly reach the long beach with many activities (jet ski, parasail, restaurants, etc. The village of Grand Case ( 5 min ) invites you to discover its old Creole huts and gourmet restaurants
If you wish, we can also help you organize a boat day (picnic, diving, sunset champagne!), book a massage at home or find you fish, lobster…


Enjoy the calm and serenity of this location in a bohemian and nature atmosphere!

Villa Hortense had everything that we could’ve wanted in a vacation rental. The property is well-maintained, the beds are very comfortable, each room had its own bathroom. The kitchen is well laid out with everything that you could need to make meals and drinks. The pool and outdoor seating area were absolutely lovely. The TV and Wi-Fi connection worked very well, as did the air conditioning. The property has kayaks available for exploring the bay and Pinel island. My family can’t wait to go back. Maly, the property manager lived up to all the strong reviews. She was extremely helpful and communicating with her was very easy.

It was absolutely perfect. Stunning views, convenient location, beautiful decor and all the amenities you need. A HUGE PLUS was our hostess Maly and her team. They went far beyond our expectations!!! Don't hesitate to book this wonderful house!!

Lovely gem

The house was so beautiful and surpassed expectations as did Maly the concierge. The home was fully stocked with anything you could need. Beautiful flowers awaited our arrival as did chilled champagne and wine. Our airport transfers were seamless and communication with Maly was prompt and always helpful. I highly recommend this property and would definitely stay here again. Any property May manages- you will be in good hands.

This is the PERFECT Saint Martin vacation rental for a group

Everything about this vacation rental was absolutely perfect for a group with 4 bedrooms and en-suite baths in each to the fully equipped kitchen and living area that flows from inside to a beautiful patio/pool area with water views. It is EXACTLY like the pictures. The location (French side) is in a quiet area but close to grocery stores, French bakeries and various beach. For me the best part was Maly, the property manager!!! She answered my MANY questions prior to our visit and provided us with lists of restaurants, car companies, activities, etc. prior to our visit and she was a text away during our stay. She is the very best I ever worked with in renting vacation rentals in the US and abroad. Perfect vacation rental in Saint Martin.

The villa was very nicely appointed and had everything you need for a great SXM vacation stay. Beautiful views and great outdoor areas. Very close to Grand Case (great restaurants) and to Orient Beach.

Perfect Villa

This villa was perfect for our family. All the comforts of home but with a spectacular view and sunshine every day. Kayaks were a big hit and the pool was a win ! Would definitely recommend.

Christmas holiday

Our stay in Villa Hortense was amazing. The property itself is as beautiful as the pictures appear, well laid out for our family of 5, comfortable beds, couches, lounge chairs, etc. The amenities were great- all kitchen items you would need for cooking if you choose to. The view is beautiful and being right on the bay with the kayaks was so fun. Maly was incredible with her quick responses to my many questions, and so helpful in planning reservations and activities which is necessary at the holidays. She added incredible value to our vacation. We will be back to Villa Hortense!! Thank you Maly for a wonderful stay!!

Vila hortense

The Villa was an excellent vacation home for us. The pictures online were accurate. The heated pool was great for morning swims. The kayaks we used to go over to penil Island were great and a must visit on your stop for they have two great beach bars there. The gated community made us feel safe. overall, I would highly recommend staying at the Villa.

A wonderful vacation Villa!

Based on the photographs we had high expectations for the villa and location, and upon arrival and greeting by Maly, our expectations were greatly exceeded. The Villa is virtually brand new and extremely well designed and appointed. The bedroom and bathrooms are beautiful and spacious, and the open spaces & kitchen are well laid out and include everything you need. The villa is very private – unlike many places on the island - you barely hear a sound. The views from inside or on the deck, over the infinity pool, towards Pinel Island and the sea are beautiful. Included are three ocean kayaks, and the six of us paddled to Pinel Island twice for snorkeling, lunch at Karibuni, and exploring. The most important thing for us though was having Maly as our host. She is like a personal concierge, making arrangements for auto rental, shuttle service, beach club reservations at Orient Beach, Grand Case, Anse Marcel, dinner reservations, etc. On our last day she made reservations for us at a beach club on the Dutch side near the airport to better accommodate our late afternoon flight.

A week in Villa Hortense Paradise

Everyone in our group of 4 couples loved Villa Hortense ! The best part is its open deck, pool area with amazing views of the sea and Pinel island, kitchen and living room where we spent many mornings and evenings enjoying the sun, the view, laughing and sharing meals. Maly is super attentive, responsive and easy to communicate with ! She gave us many good recommendations. Villa is tastefully decorated and well designed with 4 bedrooms with ensuite showers - it's just beautiful and makes you want to stay longer. It is well located close to Orient beach and many other beautiful beaches. We rented a car and explored the island with its vibrant culture and great restaurants. Highly recommend Villa Hortense for your stay ! We hope to be back soon. Thank you, Maly !

Girlfriends Getaway

The vacation was wonderful, and staying at this villa made it perfect. I can't say enough about Maly-the caretaker. I was planning this vacation for five women from the United States, and she was the touchstone to staying in a foreign country. She guided us through car rental, restaurants, tours-absolutely everything. I have used VRBO many times, but I have NEVER had such a helpful host. Thank you, Maly. Not only is she helpful, she is a great decorator. The Villa was absolutely beautiful. I would not hesitate to contact her again. She is the best :)

Perfect stay at Villa Hortense

We have been to St Martin many times and this was our favorite location to date. The villa has an excellent location overlooking Pinel Island and is well situated to enjoy dinner in Grand Case or Orient. It is beautifully decorated and well-equipped, with a gourmet kitchen. Everything is supplied, even things like beach toys and wet bags/life jackets for kayaking. Maly was a huge help in making reservations and recommendations for meals and beach clubs. We would definitely stay here again!

Great Villa

We spent a week at the villa entertaining friends. The Villa is perfectly designed and equipped with all top on the line appliances, fixtures etc. The open plan is great for entertaining and affords views of the sea and Il Pinel. Orient Bay, Grand Case, grocery stores, etc. are all within a 5 minute drive. Maly was the consummate host and quickly responded to all our questions and requests promptly including scheduling required Covid tests at the Villa. Don't miss a beach lunch at Anse Marsel (need reservations).

The Villa, Location, Amenities and View exceeded all of our expectations. Much better then pictures!

There were six adults in our party, so we had an extra bedroom. Maly was a great host. She helped with transportation to and from the airport. She recommended a car rental, that both dropped of and picked up the vehicle ( like new vehicle that was super clean ). Maly booked up reservations upon request ( if you want thing to do, Maly is the go to person ). She responded to e-mails within minutes and responded to my questions via WhatsApp immediately. When we needed a government required Covid test within 24 hours of travel home, Maly arranged everything. Everything about our experience and especially the Villa made this a vacation never to be forgotten. We’ll be vacationing with Maly again. I really can’t say enough about this Villa and our experience ❤️

Christmas in Saint Martin

Our family of 5 had the most wonderful stay at La Villa Hortense over Christmas week. The villa is just fantastic. While the photos were very accurate, the in-person experience is even better. The superb property mangager, Maly, was in contact with us prior to our arrival, helping us with dining and beach suggestions; directions to the villa and help arranging for Covid testing prior to returning the the states. She met us at the villa upon our arrival and gave us a thorough tour and explanation of all that we needed to know about the villa. Maly was super helpful and friendly and truly one of the best property managers we have ever encountered. She went above and beyond when she helped us procure fuel for our rental car on New Year's Day when all the gas stations were closed and our credit cards didn't work at the self serve pumps. We absolutely loved the setting and vibe of the villa. Sliding glass doors open the living area up to the covered deck, which overlooks an infinity pool which overlooks the water. It is so beautifiul and relaxing and wonderful to be outdoors so much of the time. The 4 bedrooms, all with king beds, comfortably accomodated our family of 5, including 3 adult children. The decor is lovely and tasteful and the villa is very well equipped. We made breakfast at home every day and a couple of dinners and it was a real pleasure to cook there. We were also so pleased that the villa supplied some basic items such as salt, some spices, dishwashing liquid, dishwasher pods, coffee pods and some bottled water and soft drinks to get us started. We had a wonderful trip and hope to return one day. It would be a great property for a couples trip as well.

Beautiful villa!

We had a wonderful time at Villa Hortense. The house was immaculate and very tastefully decorated. Kitchen was extremely well equipped with high end appliances. Loved the outdoor shower in the master bedroom, which we shared with 3 adorable little green lizards.

Fantastic Week

The property was beautiful and a perfect launching spot for exploring St Martin. Maly, the property manager, is also the designer of the property. The house was accurately depicted in the provided photos. The property is the epitome of French casual chic- beautiful easy design, fluid indoor-outdoor living, well-stocked kitchen, and beautiful heated pool. Lots of design attention to detail. Beautiful lighting, lots of hurricane lanterns for ambience, large TV, outdoor shower, comfortable seating conducive to hanging out. Three kayaks available which allow you to kayak to Pinel island for long lunches at Karubuni. Minor issues with wifi connectivity and construction noise around related to rebuilding post- Irma. Mosquitos and bugs as expected on a tropical island. If you want a swimming beach, it is a short drive to Orient bay. A lovely French bakery and supermarket are easy driving distance. Maly was extremely helpful with recommendations for restaurants and activities and prompt in responding to questions. We had an excellent vacation and will certainly return. Thank you Maly for your excellent care.
