We’re Dory & Jefe - ocean lovers, scuba divers, island wanderers, and proud members of Kenny Chesney’s No Shoes Nation.

Scuba diving first brought us to Cozumel, but it quickly became much more than a dive destination. We fell in love with the clear water, reefs and marine life, but even more with the people, culture, food, slower pace and the feeling that Cozumel just felt like home.

After years of returning to the island, we finally decided it was time to stop dreaming about someday.

We dove right in.

Our first Cozumel home became We’ve Gone Coastal Villa at Costa del Sol. The name was inspired by Kenny Chesney’s “Gone Coastal” and fit perfectly with the next chapter we were creating after our kids had grown and flown the nest. In 2023, we took the plunge again and added our oceanfront condo at El Cantil.

We’ve Gone Coastal has become about much more than owning two places in Cozumel.

One of our favorite parts is sharing the island we love with our guests. Over the years, we’ve discovered favorite restaurants, beach bars, dive operators, excursions and those little Cozumel experiences you don’t always find in a guidebook. We love helping our guests discover them too.

Whether that means answering questions before your trip, helping you figure out where to dive, pointing you toward a great meal or sharing a favorite place to watch the sunset, we want your stay to feel personal.

When we aren’t diving, exploring Cozumel or enjoying life near the water, you’ll often find us volunteering through Rotary International. Service, connecting with people and creating meaningful experiences are a big part of who we are — both in Rotary and as hosts.

More than anything, we hope We’ve Gone Coastal gives you a place to relax, explore, laugh, make memories and discover a little of the magic that made us fall in love with Cozumel.

It’s just a short drive to town for dining, shopping, and local experiences, yet far enough to enjoy peace and privacy when we return. Whether we’re relaxing by the infinity pool that seems to blend into the sea or hosting friends for dinner under the stars, this neighborhood offers everything we could want in island living.
