Oceanfront cottage with a private walkway just steps to the beach. Home has up-to-date features with granite countertops, stainless appliances, new mattresses and comforters, ceiling fans and TVs in all rooms. Home has been updated and wood floors throughout. The outdoor shower is perfect after a day spent on the beach. There is plenty of room to play cornhole or any other beach games under the house or in the driveway. 5+ covered parking spots, plus 6 additional in the driveway. This is a perfect getaway in OIB. (Sleeping: 1 King, 1 Full + 1 twin, 1 Queen, 4 twins (bunks)). Washer/dryer on-site

Spring Break Vacation

Loved everything about our stay and the home! Location was great, quiet and pet friendly! The owner was great and responded to all our questions promptly! Definitely recommend this place and plan to book again!

Charming is a completely accurate word! My family had the best two week stay at this cozy cottage! It is beautifully furnished, and the location is convenient to everything! We especially loved the pathway to the ocean, which was so very magical. The hosts are so kind and accommodating. We will be staying, again!

House was close to the beach and minutes from any shopping or other activity you would want to do. We had a great time and spent a lot of time on the beach.

We loved it!

This is an old school beach house in a great location on Ocean Isle. The house is not fancy, but the AC worked great (very important in July) We chilled out, played games and cooked shrimp every night. My perfect vacation!

Family haven

This was such an awesome property. I hope to stay again. We had a beach house for 54 years on Long Island. This was so close to that. It was big enough for 6 adults, a 3 and a 1 year old. And 3 dogs! It was comfortable, star gazing was great, beach spectacular. The time of year was great as well.

Simple cottage, premium location

Cottage was clean and simple. Our group fit nicely. It isn’t fancy but it was perfect for us and it’s the location you are paying for which was amazing. Private access to an uncrowded part of the beach is so nice. Owner was great and prompt with communication. Because no one was checking in right after us he graciously offered a late check out which was very kind.

Great House!

We have been coming to OIB for many years but needed a different house for this vaca. First time staying in this house and it worked out so well! It was very family friendly and super cute! The bunk bed room with two TVs was a hit for the kiddos! The drink fridge was clutch so we didn’t have to keep drinks in a cooler all week, kitchen was stocked with all the necessities & the Keurig plus drip coffee maker made everyone happy! Owner was great with communication & making sure we were settled. Would definitely recommend & stay again!

Family week at the beach

We had a beach vacation with our four adult children; It was the first time we had all been together for three years, so we were excited to find a beach-front house large enough for all of us. The house looks small on the outside, but has an open floor plan which makes it very roomy on the inside. We were able to find all the supplies we needed, as the kitchen was well stocked. We had an issue that we needed help with from the owners. They responded immediately and resoved the issue the first day. Beautiful beach view from the deck.

Dog friendly, functional beach house

The house is perfect for dogs, the patio has gates on every access so the pup can run around without a worry! It is a older beach house but, Large enough for a family of 7 easily. Perfect location for activities. Walking distance to just about anything. Deck is in great condition. Appliances all updated. Nice grill. Enough dishes for a family of 20 lol! Linens were in the dressers which I wasn’t aware of so we had brought our own! Lots of seating inside and outside. Tons of games to play if it rains. Ownership was very accommodating. Overall a wonderful beach house.

Location Location Location

This home offers direct access to a wonderful and less crowded area of OIB. There was plenty of sand even at high tide. The porch is large with ample shade and comfortable seating. Its an old school home...built in a time when a beach house was a simple no frills dwelling. Its showing some age for sure. But it is clean and updated in many respects and the kitchen is well stocked with all you need. Our two dogs, my 91 year old mother along with my husband and I enjoyed easy access to the beach, comfortable beds and the updated appliances. I especially appreciated that the deck and walkway to the beach were gated so the pups could enjoy some freedom. There are newer, taller and prettier homes all around. If its shiny and new you seek...this isn't your home. This is the place to hang out and enjoy the simple pleasures of being at the beach. The laundry is in the utility room under the home. The boardwalk to the beach stops short of the dunes....so a short easy walk in soft sand is necessary...and even my mother manged easily. The AC kept up well although the temp did rise a bit for an hour or so when the late afternoon sun brought a challenge. All manageable situations in my opinion. This is a great pet friendly home and we enjoyed our stay tremendously!

It is beachfront…. but it’s disappointing from there

We encountered several surprises and problems with this rental. When we arrived the house was unlocked and the door was open. That didn’t give us much of a sense of security. The main door is difficult to close properly and needs attention. The house was not clean. The trash was not put out by the former renter in time for it to be taken so we had no room for trash for 4 days. The AC struggled greatly and eventually we checked the furnace filter in the living room and it was absolutely filthy. Batteries were missing from smoke detectors and in some cases smoke detectors were not even installed. We notified the home owner of all of these things while we were there but there was not much he could do about any of them at the time. Read the listing very carefully. 3 things to note - 1. linens are not included-this was not shared in the listing but it is in the contract. 2. There is NO DISHWASHER. We cook and prepare all meals on vacation so this was a major bust for us. 3. There is a washer and dryer but it is not actually in the house. It’s under the house in a shed. There aren’t any beach chairs for use at the house and said boogie boards were broken. This house doesn’t provide the bare minimum of amenities and was dirty to boot. We cleaned and made the best of it. We did like being beach front but all in all we would not chose to stay here again.

Very Enjoyable stay!

This is an older home and you can tell the owners are making constant improvements. There are no problems in this homes livability. Everything we needed was included. We had family, friends, 3 well behaved dogs, and children. We all would go stay here again! Very nice cozy home reminiscient of the good ole days! Thank you owners!

Last Minute Beach Vacation

My husband and I (and our pup) found this house only days before our vacation, and could not have been happier. Communication with the owner was easy and the house was adorable. Although bigger than we needed, it felt warm and homey and was equipped with everything you could possibly need from kitchen appliances and utensils to board games and puzzles. The deck was spacious and our dog loved sitting out there with us enjoying the salt air and ocean view. The location was convenient as well. Overall, a great and much needed relaxing stay.

Disappointing - Safety Hazards

My family and pets stayed at this property for vacation. We were shocked to find many safety hazards, as well as an unclean environment. The back door was incapable of locking, which made us feel unsafe. It did not even close. There were many roaches in the home. Upon wiping surfaces, our wipes absorbed black dirt. There were stains on the comforters provided. The beds that were described as queen size were fulls instead. The boardwalk to the beach was wobbly and unstable. There were also nails sticking out of many boards on the boardwalk. The exterior of the home had trash and debris lying around, including multiple pieces of loose plywood. The bathroom and front doors were unable to close/lock much of the time. The master bathroom had a large leak which we found to be leaking through the floor onto the lower level storage area. Most of the outdoor furniture was broken and unsafe to sit in. It seemed nothing had been sanitized before our arrival.

Great location, nice place but needs work

We had a great time and enjoyed being right on the beach. The house has a nice open floor plan and is cute. The listing states that the house has been somewhat renovated but the house still needs a lot of work. My biggest concern is the safety of the walkway to the beach. When you walk down to the beach the section closest to the beach is shaky. This made me nervous for my parent’s safely as they use railings for stability. Some floor boards and many pickets for the railing are loose or dangling. There were several nails/screws that were exposed, broken and rusty on the outer parts of the walkway-which made me nervous for my dog’s feet. I brought this issue to the owner’s attn and he said he “wasn’t aware of the issue”. I find this hard to believe as the property was just purchased and had to be inspected. We also had to stop using the shower in the second bathroom because for some reason it was leaking all over the floor. We couldn’t figure out how the shower head water was running down the side of the shower enclosure, so we just stopped using it. Not the owner’s fault, but needs to be fixed. 8 people and 1 shower… not cool.

Summer family vacation

The home is in a great location and beautifully decorated inside.. You just cant beat being oceanfront! We enjoyed sitting on the deck, listening to the ocean and watching the dolphins and pelicans. The back deck is able to be enclosed with gate for your dog to enjoy being with you. All the beds are very comfortable The check-in process couldn’t be easier and the owner quickly responds to any questions and issues and is dedicated to you having a great vacation.

Classic Beach House!

We loved our stay in this adorable beach house. Perfect location right on the beach. Kitchen was well-equipped for which we were so grateful. This is a great house for a family vacation on a beautiful beach! Do not miss the sunrise on the beach - totally breathtaking. My last morning walk on the beach the dolphins joined me in the surf. Great communication with the owner who made everything easy and the house was spotless when we arrived. Five stars!!
