Step out to the spacious deck and breathe in the salty air as you sip a morning coffee or reminisce over a glass of wine at sunset. Inside, everyone will be smitten with the tasteful nautical decor and accommodating living area flooded with natural light throughout the day. With direct beach access from your back door, you will have no trouble listening to the tide ebb and flow or collecting shells along the shore. When everyone builds up an appetite, the fully equipped kitchen is ready for any culinary creation and the dining table will be just the place to tell stories of the day and enjoy a meal with loved ones.

Aside from sitting right on the sand, this wonderful retreat is located on the main road, Butler Avenue, and sits in the middle of the island within walking distance to several restaurants and shops that will not disappoint. Make your way up north and you will find the Tybee Lighthouse and Museum or you can just as easily go south to find the Tybee Marine Science Center as well as the Pier and Pavilion near South Beach!

Most excellent location, beach access, full frontal ocean view close to Savanah River with many close container ships!New kitchen appliances and convenient laundry in the kitchen.Door lock code didn’t work. Dated and in need of lupkeep and upgrading. Patching and painting needed for best recommendation. Sliding door track to patio was dirty and moldy.Great potential for top recommendation with upgrading kitchen cabinets, some flooring issues (especially the scuffed baseboard), some ceiling issues (cracks, stain, tape seems failing), spiral stair paint, deck chair upgrade, bathroom hardware upgrade.

Overall had a great stay.Pro's:Location relative to the beach.Beach area behind condo was far enough away from public acess points. Which made it semi private. Excellent beach view from our 2nd floor.Was very clean.Had all amenities needed.Easy acess from main road.There was several eating locations within walking distance.Con'sProperty in need of renovations.Sketchy narrow spiral staircase from 2nd floor to beach.Thermostat constantly resetting to 90 degrees ( particularly frustrating when returning back into a hot room).

I am currently disputing the charge on my credit card because they refused to offer a partial refund after having me stand in my own and who knows who else’s filth while showering. The shower drain was so clogged that the tub filled up within a couple of minutes and the management didn’t get a plumber there until the last day of my stay. I completely understand that things happen but their cleaning crew was well aware of the drain issue if they actually cleaned the shower. Plus I notified them immediately and hounded them all week. The supposed local management for Vacasa kept texting me empty promises and only offered a 100 refund which they then said they couldn’t process?!?!?!?!? Stay away from this place and Vacasa

Condo needs tlc

Property had a wonderful location. The condo itself needs a lot of work. Thank goodness there were box fans upstairs-Because the air conditioning unit did not work very well upstairs and it was warm up there. The kitchen sink did not drain well on the left side and the cabinets below It were held together with a hair rubber band because the cabinets would not stay closed without. Access to the beach from the deck was a nightmare!Nowhere in the pictures that described the property did it show that you had to go down a rickety metal spiral staircase! Had, I had known that we would not have rented this property.

The place was right in the beach. It was clean and everything worked…coffee maker, dishwasher, washer. The beds were comfortable and the shower was perfect. The location is perfect for all things Tybee. Only complaint is that access onto the beach is not easy…big, steep drop, no stairs. Totally recommend this place.

Right on the Beach!

The place was clean and everything worked. Yes, maybe a little worn but all good. It is right on the beach. On the less public end of the Island. The beach is gorgeous. The water was perfect. Only “ complaints”….getting on and off the beach is not easy. It’s a drop down the dune. Not easy for people with older knees. Also, the entrance door is a little tricky but eventually, it works. Overall, loved this place….safe, clean, on the beach, easy access to all things Tybee. Hope to return some day!

First impressions of this rental when we walked in was that it was very worn. We fully accept that most beach rentals are high traffic and they are not cared for like we take care of our homes. However, there is a minimum acceptable standard, and this place does not meet it. In fact, it falls well short of that standard. The unit was less than to be desired. All the bed linens had brown stains (frankly they were all disgusting), the kitchen and bathroom cabinets were absolutely beat up and water damaged, drywall throughout the unit was patched or cracking, there was mold on the bathroom shower curtain and all along the tub caulking, the bathroom floor (upstairs) was squishy to walk on (it was a vinyl covering but there clearly are major water damage issues), the deck was visibly unstable (it literally bows), all of the toilet seats have never been replaced they are in horrible shape, the curtains downstairs were ripped and stained as well as a lampshade. It just made our skin crawl the longer we spent in the retal the more we found wrong. Upside the location on Tybee was wonderful, the view fantastic and beach access was easy. I was very glad there was an outdoor shower. Overall I would never refer someone here unless it is completely renovated. We look forward to returning to Tybee but at a different rental. We also are awaiting our status of a refund through Vacasa.

We fully accept that most beach rentals are high traffic and they are not cared for like we take care of our homes. However, there is a minimum acceptable standard, and this place does not meet it. In fact, it falls well short of that standard.

Not Waterfront Without Good Beach access

Let me start by saying this place was not terrible but I cannot call it good in any way. We rented here because it had beach access and let's be clear. a 5/6' sand dune cliff is not beach access. We ended up having to drive and park (pay to park) at another beach access point to be able to get to the beach. This changed the quality of our vacation tremendously. The unit itself is dated but not terrible. The unit had a couple cleanliness issues, there was a bag of cherries left on the counter and the floor mat at the kitchen sink stuck to our shoes and the air vents all had black dirt on them. The stairs to get to the unit are not to good. There is no good hand rail and there were several screws popped up. I actually screwed a few down while there to prevent my wife and I from tripping on them. The internet did not work anywhere other than on the main floor. All in all at best a 2 star location. The view is fantastic though.

On the beach but dated property

Pros-directly on the beach, great views and beach access at the dunes.Cons-a/c unit is set to 80 degrees at different intervals thru day. You have to constantly keep changing the temperature back to 70 which is the lowest it will go and it was frustrating and hot.Toilets-unit is old and you have to hold toilet handle down for a long time to get it to flush. The smell from the toilets was bad, not sure why but they both had odors. A toilet freshener might help…Kitchen-very outdated. With a little TLC, this could be very nice.Door keypad-on day 4, the keypad on door stopped working and we had to burn up precious vacation time trying to get back in unit. We were told we had gotten an email with a new code but that was not true (I checked spam too). It would have been nice not to have this changed a day before we left.

Oceanfront but Very Dated property

Directly on beach. Toilets ran slowly and emitted odor. Kitchen was dated and could use refresh. A/C unit was programmed intermittently to 82 degrees every few hours so we had to keep manually adjusting it. We woke up each night sweating and the programmed temperature of 82+ degrees needs to be removed.

Beautiful View

It was very accommodating for our needs. Its a little dated ,but the price was right and very clean. The view and beach access was perfect.Tybee Island was beautiful . We will definitely return.

The Lo Atari on was excellent and pretty much as the ad indicated. The condition of the kitchen and bathrooms could use an upgrade.
