Looking for a peaceful place to get away from it all in one of the best small towns in Virginia and within walking distance to the award winning Virginia Creeper Trail -this place has it all. A peaceful, cozy and affordable authentic log home with modern amenities within minutes to all the adventure that Damascus has to offer and a short drive to Grayson Highlands State Park where the wild ponies roam.

This cozy cabin peacefully sits on over 4 acres with a wrap around porch with ample seating to immerse yourself in nature.

This was our first time staying at the property and absolutely loved it. Enjoying coffee in the wrap around porch and dinner under the tree was fantastic. Great location for our stay. We will definitely be back.

Our favorite cabin

We love staying in Damascus! This cabin is homey, comfortable, clean, and spacious. The owners are wonderful too. Highly reccomend!

Amazing property & fantastic hosts!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Willow Tree Retreat & Cabin. We rented both properties for our Thanksgiving family get-together and couldn't have been happier with the experience. Vickie & Michael are wonderful hosts- extremely responsive, attentive to detail, and had the cabins decorated so thoughtfully for the holiday season. I would highly recommend the Willow Tree properties to anyone looking for a relaxing retreat in beautiful SW Virginia.

Amazing getaway with family!

We loved the beautiful cabin. Kids loved the basement set-up, so much room, and outdoor space was amazing. Just 5 minutes or less to our bicycle shop for Creeper.

The best retreat!

Willow Tree is our favorite cabin! Beautiful property in a gorgeous valley. Everything you need , and very dog friendly with a big fenced backyard! The befd are comfy. Everything is just right!

Best VRBO experience

This cabin was immaculately clean, extremely well stocked, and very comfortable. We had plenty of room for our two couples and one dog. Our dog loved the huge fenced in yard and 3/4 wrap around porch. We relaxed and rode the Creeper Trail. Great location and a GREAT place!

Stop looking; book it!

Rock star host, great location, easy to find, easy to get there. This is by far, the best equipped rental we have ever had. Extremely comfortable. The attention to the details, all the little extras and the amenities exceeds expectations. Would stay again in a heartbeat!

Best. Cabin. Ever.

We love this cabin! It's our favorite (and we've rented quite a few). Great setup for family meals, and wonderfully dog-friendly with fenced yard and gated porch! The cabin is beautifully decorated, and has everything, including (and this is key) comfy mattresses and a VERY responsive owner. Close to great hiking. Wonderful experience all around.

This was our first time staying in Damascus after years of passing through. This cabin is absolutely amazing. Stocked with all the basics and more! We enjoyed spending time on the porch and eating dinner under the willow tree. We did not want to leave!! We will definitely stay here again.

Wonderful

This was our 1st trip to Damascas. Very relaxing and friendly people. House was amazing. Comfy beds, lots of space and loved the coffee bar. Dogs loved the back yard. Best part was the porch...swinging jn the swing chairs or sitting on the couch swing taking in the beautiful views.Vickie was a great host. Already thinking about returning and renting the 2nd house as well for an extended family getaway. Joy

Bucket List Adventure!

What a lovely mountain cabin to stay in…perfect for our Sunday School couples who wanted a peaceful, relaxing few days in the mountains. Exceeded our expectations…everything you need provided and more! The coffee bar was a hit as well as the fire pit on the back porch…beds were so comfortable, kitchen well-stocked. We would come better prepared next time to take advantage of the Blackstone Griddle, although we did enjoy the short drive to Abingdon for a good meal out. Also, glad we were so close for our bike excursion. We couldn’t have asked for a better place than Willow Tree. Great home and great host!

Relaxing

We had on our bucket list to hike up to the top of Mt Rogers. This cabin was a perfect spot to glamp out and get to our trailhead before the crowds. Very nice amenities and plenty of spots to chill out on the deck. Bring food and you never have to go out. Coffee bar was really well done. Had hot chocolate too - very nice touch. Gas grill was large and easy to operate. Internet was good enough to check back home on our pups and loved ones. My wife said I picked a great spot and she’d stay here again. A+.

Wraparound Porch Love

This property is delight from floor to ceiling, starting with a wraparound porch straight out of a Hallmark movie. Upon arriving my husband declared. “we must be doing life wrong, because these owners got it right.” The home is impeccably clean and Pinterest perfect in every room. The owners went above and beyond in the decor and spared no expense, equipping the home with gourmet pots and pans, luxurious mattresses and more. The home is also spacious.

Weekend together!

Just lovely

Well built beautiful log home. Very spacious and porch arrangements set up for enjoying the lovely views no matter time of day. Great fenced back yard for dogs. Kitchen is well appointed. Highly recommended.

My husband and I love to bike, hike and travel. We own the smaller cabin at the back of the property as well and often come down to stay in the smaller cabin.

This property offers peace and quite . You can often sit on the porch and listen to the river. Calming to the soul. Very close to the Virginia Creeper Trail which you can access from the cabin .7 miles away.
