Another great stay n Camelot

We have stayed at this property on several trips and always come back because of the perfect location. Right on the beach and an easy walk to restaurants ands the boardwalk. This particular unit was clean and up to date. Nothing fancy but perfect for a relaxing time with family and friends. Will definitely see if this unit is available on our next trip

Great view of the beach and multiple pool options. We did have a dirty towel hanging behind one of the bedroom doors and some fake eyelashes stuck to a mirror. One of the seats had a cushion that wasn’t attached properly and kept sliding off (the cushion itself was in need of a good cleaning too). There were no oven mitts or coffee filters so just a tip to bring your own or you’ll have to go grab some from a store (we were able to do without the pot holders). The only access points to the beach from this location have stairs so if you have a wagon, just know you’ll have to deal with a few stairs. Not a huge deal though. Overall it was a fun time for our small group. The kids loved playing in the pools (which had shallow options that were great for our 3-5 year old kids who were with us). And there was a cute ice cream shop within walking distance. Plus you could walk about .3 miles down the beach to get to one of the piers if you wanted to fish or grab dinner at the restaurant there. Not a far drive to barefoot landing either which is a great area to go for dinner, shopping and entertaining kids.

We recommend this unit!

Very well appointed. Our extended family had the same unit several floors up and theirs was very basic while ours was very comfortable, had extra utensils and nice appliances. The beds were comfortable and the deco was beach perfection.

So peaceful

I loved it all from the beach views to the outdoor/indoor pool. The exchange of towels was super simple and made doing laundry so much easier. Being min away from everything was so helpful, I didn't even have to fill up my tank the whole trip, that's how little driving we did. Feet stayed dirty from the floors but that could have been from all the sand from the numerous trips we did to the beach and back. Just dragging it back in the home with us. Minus that we had no complaints at all, im not even gonna consider the above a complaint. Will definitely use this condo for our next myrtle beach trip! Worth it!

Cute decor

The online picture of kitchen and living room should be updated. The furniture has been replaced and clean, which was a pleasant surprise and some of the kitchen was updated. My only complaint was the floors were very dirty. Our feet were black within an hour of being in the unit. (Might have been mopped with dirty water?)

We really liked being on the 6th floor easy access to parking garage. The living room couch and chairs were really dirty. We put beach towels over the cushions. The wallpaper you can see where the seams are starting to come apart. The bottom right kitchen cabinet next to stove he pull knobs was broken on the drawer the other one below on the cabinet was missing. You could not open the drawer on the left side of stove because the fridge came out to far. Also the fridge the bottom crispers there is water below the 2 drawers twice we had to pull out the drawers and us a towel to mop up the water. There are staples in the kitchen wall paper. Master bed room was good . The other 2 bedroom the carpet is fraying at the entrance. Both sliding glass doors do not have screens so you could not get the breeze or the sound of the ocean. The pool was very nice. lots of chairs to set in around the pool and ground were very clean. The only issue would be the hand railing on the steps is white that you use to go to the pool really needs a good bleach cleaning. The unit only comes with 3 chairs on the patio. Would have been nice to have more since the unit can hold 6 to 8 The pictures on the site must be old. The whole unit really needs to be updated. I would not say in the unit again.. I would go back to the resort just not this unit.

Interior of this unit is old and dirty!!

Camelot is a nice building and we have stayed there several times but this was a first to be in 617 and probably the last time in that unit. Staff is nice and friendly and common areas are well kept. We checked in March 29 2022 for 9 nights. We would have left right away if there was something else available. The furniture in unit 617 is long over due for replacement and feels dirty to sit on. Mattresses need replacement as well. Bathrooms are probably original fixtures from when building was built. Photos of this unit are probably 4 or 5 years old. We paid $195 per night for this unit and had to put sheets on the sofa and chairs and double up cushions so that we couldn't feel the foldout bed springs digging into us. There were chips out of the bathroom sink, and the whole unit needed a fresh coat of paint. We would not recommend this unit until some renovations are done.

Over rated

Nice room but refrigerator wouldn’t close properly and it leaked. Pool area had two hot tubs and only one worked. There are two pools and only one is useful. The only good thing is the free tickets to the water parks but with the price you pay you already paid for them.

Old building in good location

This condo is in a perfect location, short walk to everything you need. King bed was very comfortable and had a great view, other beds not the comfiest, couches and chairs very old and worn. Floors were dirty and overall the condo is out dated. Could use a deep clean. Staff was very nice and helpful when keys stopped working and brought us extra blankets/towels when needed. Bummz bar next door is a must for good food and live music!

Our first family vacation was a blast

Great Stay and Great Area

Everything was good with the suite except the sleeper sofa. The springs were falling out and it wasn’t comfortable at all. All was nice and clean. The furniture was pretty worn. I loved the area that we were in. Not far from every kind of store that you needed. I would stay at Camelot by the Sea again.

Great Place, Great Price!

It was older style but just like being at home with the dishes, kitchen, laundry...I loved the view from the ocean front balconies. Easy access to the beach. The lazy river, hot tubs, kid pools and swimming pools were awesome, kids loved them too! Location great to walk to boardwalk, restaurants...

Okay stay

We arrived a few hours early as we traveled the night before. Knowing sometimes there's early check in. The lady had then said no early check ins. So we went down to the beach let the kids run around. Get back at 30 min before and the room was still not ready. Room wasn't ready until after 4:10. We got into the room and the floors were DIRTY. Yes I know there will always be sand being right on the beach. But the floors were sticky in areas and turning black. No daily housekeeping I understand. But we had to call down to get a 1 time room cleaning day set up. And asked for a broom and dust pan as well. After housekeeping came mid stay we scheduled for a certain time and 2 hours later we showed back up from the beach and they had just arrived. They did a quick sweep but no mopping. We washed the kids and our feet often esp before going out. Instantly turned black if they didn't have shoes on. On Night 2 I woke in the middle of the Night and turned a light on in the bedroom only to find 3 bugs scatter. Night 3 saw 1 more and then Night 4 there was ANOTHER. Pans in the kitchen are very well used. May need new ones soon. Some Utensils/measuring spoons were missing. May look at the door in the living room as it wasn't on the tracks fully. The hotel side needs better communication with the ones staying about housekeeping and how it works. We even did our laundry for our towels since we had washer/dryer in room but was told not to by housekeeping. (Less for them to do during the week you would think) Pools were great for the kids and the location was great for attractions/food. Our first vacasa stay to this was 2 completely opposites.
