Escape the cold, dreary winter days and head to tropical weather and waters!

Thank you for the feedback. For our future guests at our cottage. We did ask out landscaper to check the front yard for the small trash that was mentioned. He cleaned one area around the trash cans by the road but otherwise noted that the yard was indeed clean-the wind blows on the island, we all do our best to keep it clean.. Our cleaning staff works very hard to clean the house and have it ready for guests arriving. They do sometimes depend on others for transportation and may indeed arrive early but they never interrupt guests or enter the property as guests are gathering items to leave. Our kitchen window is a pass though to the bar in the tiki and is a loved feature for guests that love spending time outside. We do not have blinds over that window as it looks directly out the back to the view of the canal. Read all our previous reviews about manatee sightings! The living room has a windowed door also facing the tiki/canal and view of the pool. We do not have blinds on that door as so much outdoor living occurs at this home and it brings it all together. All areas of needed privacy (bedrooms, bathrooms) have blinds and covered windows. We strive to have a great property that guests will enjoy and make memories to last a lifetime.

The old adage is true that you just can’t satisfy everyone :) For all of our future guests: Please refer to our previous 28 five-star reviews and happy guests that have stayed with us in 2021 and 2022. Our rules, other than no smoking and no pets, reflect the laws set forth by Marathon for our rental license (occupancy, quiet hours, etc). We embrace these rules as they provide safety for guests as well as helping maintain a pleasant experience for all visitors and full-time residents of our beloved islands. Although we welcome and embrace boaters and anglers of all skill levels, we do not claim to cater to this population. We love having visitors of all types and strive to provide the best property that a wide range of guests will enjoy. Our fully disclosed Ring camera is only activated by people and the motion sensed light is very helpful for navigating the side yard/driveway during evening and dark hours, it is unfortunate that this guest who stayed for 14 nights, claimed on night 12 that it was on at night when we are able to see it was not activated during his stay other than when someone from their group was in the side yard and when they attempted to cover it. As a future guest if you have any concerns about the wide and deep canal or the marked channel in open water, which can be shallow outside of the cut, please reach out to us and we can address any concerns that you may have. There are many sizable boats that navigate the canal and channel without any difficulty whatsoever. Our home/yard is treated monthly for pests and checked thoroughly in between guests for any problems or issues but we are also only a phone call or text away should an issue arise; we have a local resident for any issue that needs immediate attention as well as maintenance and service personnel that can be called. Finally, if you are a future guest reading this review, hosting is an endeavor that we truly enjoy, and we have met many wonderful people in doing so.
