Happy House on Cross Lake! Newly renovated and sleeps 12

Welcome to our newly remodeled Happy House in Crosslake, MN!
The Rustic Farm House with a Touch of Modern Industrial Charm is located in the Happy Bay of Cross Lake on Whitefish Chain. It has been stripped down to its original bones to bring its unique features and great character back to life! Due to the nature of original rustic floors, slippers might be recommended :)
This family oriented house offers 3 bedrooms and a loft, 3.5 baths, living room, dining room and a full kitchen with everything you need to prepare your own meals.
If cooking is not on the agenda, you are just 2 minutes away from the center of Crosslake with its restaurants, bars, coffee and ice cream shops, grocery store and a gas station, and also a variety of local boutiques, walking/biking/snowmobile trails, golfing and mini-golfing - all for your entertainment.
Being so close to town, the property is also located next to a wooded land, which gives more privacy to enjoy beautiful sunsets and some family time by the fire pit or on the porch with a beverage of your choice!

We stayed here during MEA weekend. The weather was a little cooler so we enjoyed the fire pit outside. Great location. The boys went kayaking and paddle boarding even with the cooler weather. The house is even better than in the pictures. We will definitely be coming here again. The sunrise and the sunset is so beautiful!

Favorite Crosslake VRBO

This is our favorite spot to stay in Crosslake! The property is exceptional and the owners are wonderful and so attentive to any need or concern. This was our second January stay for a winter get together with friends and we look forward to returning again next year.

Girls Weekend

We just got back from our fabulous weekend on Cross Lake. Polina’s cabin is so beautiful and spacious. She had everything there we needed for an amazing time. The yard was perfect for yard games and the covered deck was so relaxing.

Beautiful Property

Our family had the best time staying at the happy house. The kids adored fishing off the dock and we loved the covered deck and paddleboards and kayaks. The owners are very intentional in keeping the accommodation looking new and clean and are very prompt in their communication. We hope to be back!!

Fabulous lake home

We have stayed in many lake front properties over the years and this is by far the best lake front we have ever stayed at. The most beautiful home situated on tremendous lake front bay. I can’t say enough how beautiful that this place is and the hosts were the best and very accommodating. On a scale of one to ten this is an eleven!!!! We certainly will be back.

What a beautiful cabin! Polina and Polina were accommodating and quick to respond if we have any questions. The cabin was immaculate and well stocked with supplies. We loved it so much we didn't want to leave. We will be back! Thank you Schindels!

I have stayed at over 20 other rentals in the area and this is my favorite. Not only is it beautifully renovated, close to water & town, comfortable & clean, but it's exceptionally stocked with items that I usually have to bring myself. Hand soap, lotion, shampoo, towels, serving dishes, enough glassware, pots & pans for cooking for a crowd, and even sharp knives! We all loved the very comfortable beds & linens as well. Highly recommend!

Wonderful

Great place for our family. First of all it is on Crosslake, which I think is one of the greatest recreation areas in the country. The house easily accommodated a family of six adults and four children. The kids loved the house.The bunk room (six bunks) was perfect for my four grandchildren. The two double beds bedrooms in the the loft area were great for the parents. The downstairs king bed ensuite was perfect for the grand parents.The dock was great for our rented pontoon boat. My family had a fantastic time.

Very impressed

Whoever did the renovation of this property really nailed it. Old barnwood motif inside and out with some great repurposed eliments throughout. Comfort was not sacrificed at all and the home's layout is efficient and a reward to the lake location. We enjoyed the patio, the great room and everything accommodated our crew of 12. Excellent communication with the owners helped and we''ll recommend for future stays.

Wonderful!

The home is beautiful, the lakefront is wonderful, and Polina and Bryan were amazing. Well worth the money and definitely want to come back. The lakefront has it’s own beach area, perfect for swimming. Heard the loons and had the most amazing relaxing weekend, just the two of us. Would 1000% come back with my kids. We rented bikes and went for a bike ride in town and that was super fun. You won’t be disappointed if you stay here. Lovely home for sure. I’ll cherish this weekend memory forever. Thank you Polina for sharing this home with us ☺️ (If you ever want to sell it, let me know 😉)

Memories for a lifetime

This was what we hope to be many stays at The Happy House. We have gone to the Crosslake area many times, but we brought my brother, his family and kids, and my parents this time as well. We are all already talking about another stay. The house was PERFECT from the beautiful lawn where the kids could play, the fire pit for bonfires and smores, the small beach area for sand play, docks great for us bringing our boat and fishing for the kids, great paddleboarding and kayaking for us novices, a beautiful porch for shade, great kitchen with seating for all of us, plenty of fluffy towels for the whole group to shower, plenty of bathrooms and the list goes on... Then there were our wonderful hosts who were so responsive and helpful. I've never EVER had a better renting experience!

Crosslake getaway!

Great property tucked in a private little bay- kayaking boating fishing and bonfires were the daily ritual. Great amenities and easy to call home for a week!
