Welcome to Discreet Retreat!!

Located in the Sea Palms neighborhood where golfing, shops, restaurants are all close by. Just four miles to the beach and Pier\Village area makes this the perfect spot for your stay. Easy access to all areas of the island.

This three bed and three bath condo is located on a lagoon with great water views from the living room and master bedroom.

You will love this townhouse with plenty of extra room. Enjoy great meals from the fully-stocked kitchen with new appliances, solid surface countertops and ample cabinet space. Relax in the living room overlooking the lagoon with a large picture window while watching a great movie on the large flat panel TV.

With a king bed in the upstairs master, a queen in the downstairs master and two full beds in the third bedroom upstairs, you can comfortably sleep eight people here. Each bedroom has a TV. A dining room that seats 6 and a laundry room with new full size stackable washer and dryer rounds out the amenities.

• Any group gatherings and events at this property are limited to the number of occupants (8 persons).
• Dogs are allowed for a non-refundable pet fee of $100/pup. (Limit 2 pups)
• Parking is available for 2 vehicles.

Minimum Age to Rent is 25 years old - this applies to all guests with the exception of multi-generational families.

What to Expect in your Unit:
• There are 4 TVs located in this property.
• Linens (Bath towels & bed sheets) are provided
• Starter Supply of Toilet Paper, Soap, Paper Towels and Trash Bag. Any additional supplies needed during tenancy will be the responsibility of the guest.

Don’t forget to bring your beach chairs, beach towels and sunscreen!

Wonderful stay!

The staff were so helpful and nice. The place was wonderful. We recommend you keep the pillows off the furniture and tucked in the corner bc they live all the rain! The porch in the evenings was heavenly. The frogs sang to us. We fed turtles. I highly recommend!

Excellent stay

Very comfortable and cozy, quiet area. Enough space for 5 adults and one teenager. Will definitely return for longer stay.

Queen & King bed mattress’s need replacing. The Queen bed is sunken and very uncomfortable. It is a high bed and there wasn’t a step stool to get in the bed. Not enough face cloths per daily usage. We couldn’t use the because the patio furniture needs replacing.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The property is in a great location. This unit has some nice features but the main level bedroom has a ridiculously high bed, needs a step stool to get on. The downstairs bathroom has a vanity that is not installed correctly so things fall behind it. There appeared to have been some mold in an upstairs bedroom ceiling that was painted over.

Birthday Weekend

I came to St Simon's to celebrate my 50th birthday. First visit to the area and I thought it was beautiful. The first unit I stayed in had many safety issues. The unit was not clearly numbered, big steps to get into the unit with no hand rails and stairs inside the home were extremely steep with no rails. Windows were in need of some serious cleaning to clear away huge spider webs and dirt. Also noticed several large dead water bugs on the floors upon arrival. This unit could not have been inspected prior to our arrival. Due to a flood in the unit we were moved to second unit. Rental company did a great job at transitioning us to another unit. Second unit was nothing short of amazing. With both units we were required to get a package/code from the rental company. I felt like this was a complete waste of my time because all this information could have been provided in an email as it has been in the past with other units I have rented. Overall I enjoyed my stay in St. Simons and will definitely return soon but I hope my concerns are addressed.

Under renovation

The property was under renovations. Would have been nice to know before booking. Location was great for what we wanted. Beds adequate. One has a saggy mattress and bedding didn't fit. Internet didn't work in all the rooms. Set up adequate. Was expecting a nicer place seeing pictures and for the price. After the renovations are completed (painting, drywall completed, floors replaced ... will be a fine place to stay) Just note the kitchen is VERY small. Disappointed in VRBO for portraying the listing as different than expected.

Reviewer Comments: Real Escapes Properties receives high marks from me as the staff is very friendly, responds quickly to issues and business is conducted professionally. And I am always grateful to people who are willing to rent their property to pet owners. Previous reviewers of Discreet Retreat have given it great reviews. My comments are made after staying for 3 months and are not so rosy. But before I go there, let me say that I loved the large glass windows and deck facing the pond with birds, turtles, fish and yes, even an alligator! The morning sun streaming into the living room was always a welcome sight. The appliances are quite new and function well. The flatware supply was low for a unit suitable for 8, but a call to Real Escapes resulted in a the prompt delivery of a new set. The king bed in the upstairs master was very comfortable and linens were plentiful. I was happy to find the neighborhood very quiet with lots of friendly folk. The kitchen is small, but comfortable for one cook. The HVAC was serviced twice before the air conditioning worked. I changed the filter once a month as instructed. And I fixed the toilet flush lever in the downstairs bathroom. There are other things I would add to the maintenance list. The kitchen cabinet doors on one of the Lazy Susans need adjusting. The pest control needs renewal (I found one cockroach a week). Some ceilings are water stained. The skylights in one of the upstairs bedrooms are leaking resulting in sheetrock damage. The roof needs to be replaced. The gutters need to be cleaned/replaced. After rain, water pools on the floor in the living room. The deck furniture included six, high stools with mildewed cushions and a counter-height narrow bar. A nice, comfortable chair or two would be nice. I'm leaving the one I bought with a matching table. The swimming pool across the parking lot is not available without a Club membership. I would drop the words "newly renovated" when listing the unit.

Lovely Stay

The townhome was very nice, sunny and clean. It was exactly as it is shown in the pictures. We were a family of 6 with 4 adult children 21 - 27. It fit us comfortably and the beds and bedding were comfortable. The resort is very pretty. My husband and I were able to walk 5 miles with out leaving the property. I am not sure if we were allowed to use the pool or golf on the property as we were there to attend a dinner and party, so we were not home much. The location is close to shops and groceries. The kitchen is small but well supplied if you need to cook including a blender and mixer. We would definitly stay there again!
